I called the reception of this hotel on Friday February 26, 2021 to inquire about the use of the wellness area, highlighted on the hotel's website, since we are in a COVID period, that I live in the canton of Geneva More

Good hotel and facilities, also the location is perfect. Really helpful staff. The more expensive rooms have view at the Matterhorn, the others at the cemetery.
When we arrived in Zermatt in front of the hotel, we only saw the paint buckets and cement sacks behind the door. When asked in the adjacent cafe, we find out that the hotel is under renovation and is currently closed. The nice lady in the cafe calls the owner right away. After a short, not very friendly phone call, he just said that he contacted us by email and when he heard nothing more, the thing was eaten for him. But we were never contacted, neither email nor phone. Furthermore, it was possible to book on the hotel's own website without any problems. We had also received the booking confirmation. Behavior of the owner absolutely unacceptable and therefore definitely not to try again. You can still book now even though the hotel is under construction. No sympathy for such actions.
My favourite hotel in Zermatt. Ideally situated in the center of the village, nothing is far. It s a family (Max Julen, the olympic champion) held hotel that welcome you as one of their own. They ll pick you up at the station and drop you off when you leave. Just ask.
There s a green bus stop just outside that goes from the station to the Glacier Paradise gondolas. Ideal for those who don t want to walk (10 min).
The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The beds are exceptional. Everything works perfectly in the bathroom, and they offer multiple power plugs (outlets) at the bed head.
Half of the rooms face the Matterhorn and are bathed with the evening sun. The others look out on the village and the valley.
Nice breakfast, and there s a good restaurant on the ground floor that offers very good swiss food (grilled meat essentially).
Nice family hotel of great value centrally located. Decent breakfast and sauna. The interior is more like a 3 star hotel, but the view from my room is a solid 5 star! I watched sun rise and shine on the Matterhorn in my room everyday when I stayed here; it was so magical.
Incredible find! The small family run hotel was amazing! Service was top notch from the owner picking us up at the train hooking us up with his brothers ski shop. We also had one of our favorite meals in their restaurant Max Julian in the hotel. My wife was spooked when she read a bad review about the cemetery view vs. the Mountain View. Our view was spectacular and I wouldn t think twice about that view at all. We would definitely return. They also gave us a cot for our baby!!
