The instructors and the course content and selection at the Alliance Francaise in Philadelphia are fantastic. I reached out to them so that I could brush up on my French. That was nearly two months ago. I have been taking art history workshops, grammar bootcamps, and private tutoring...all remotely. My confidence and skills are increasing each week.
Immersion class with Yann our teacher was great. We did fun exercises to increase our French vocabulary, boost our speaking and listening skills, and learn something more about French history and culture. The immersion classes are a great way to improve one's French language skills in an informal way with others who also want to learn and improve.
It's so much fun to sit down with my notebook and write down everything I want to remember from the instructors who are native speakers. This is a vital next-level experience for anyone who is serious about improving their French.

I recently spent a day in a full-immersion class. The teachers were very engaging and helpful and the material was interesting. It was well worth the money.
The two hours of class rocket by. The instruction is clear and the teacher very supportive (while demanding) and engaged. The others in the class are friendly but daunting since most are foreign-born and speak at least two languages fluently. I would say it is a very positive experience.

My first real contact with AF was after the pandemic hit. With more time on my hands, I decided to supplement my weekly tutoring with some of AF's activities. What a wonderful experience! The discussions--my favorite group is Newsroom--helped me improve my French while connecting with others.
I've been taking classes through the Alliance for two years. My teacher, Madame Christiane, is expert in working with adult students - her instruction is serious and organized, yet she keeps the classes fun. The other students are wonderfully supportive, as well.
