I didn't want to write any review, but people should know this. Be careful in this place, do not let teachers touch you!!! I don't want to specify but one lady is extremely unprofessional. After telling her, please do not touch me, she took my legs and made me to do a headstand. If she has at least some knowledge about human body, she would notice that my shoulders are not ready for it yet. Now I regret that I did not kick her with my leg, because I have terrible headaches and giddiness for 2 weeks already and have to wast a fortune for a manual therapy. Be careful!

Very nice place, clean and up kept. The hot yoga, or hot power vinyasa I should say, is really deep. The body muscles, at least mine, like to cramp up time to time, but with the warm dehumidified temperature, my muscles enjoy the stretch overall. I enjoy this location, I haven t been to any other, but I doubt others can beat this hot spot yoga 4th floor, with floor to ceiling glass view.

Some teachers are great! Amanda especially. I was commuted to this studio for over 2 years!!
That said... The customer service is terrible! Jaine, the owner of the studio, has extremely poor people skills and is un-accommodating! After I put my account on hold for 6 months, I was charged without notification. When I asked for a refund, she refused to give it to me even though the services were not used! She said I still had time to use all my sessions even though there were 2 days left in the month!
As a customer for over 2 years I expected better treatment! I had every intention of taking workshops and single classes in this studio prior to this experience but now will never go back! So disappointed! And this is supposed to be a yoga studio where you come to relax from your day. Too much drama

It s a perfect place for rejuvenation, rehab and relaxation. Along with aesthetic pleasure from the fabulous view !
Staff and teachers are nice and professional!
I still have more classes to attend, in order to meet every teacher available at the studio. But, hey! I just started !
Studio offers very comfortable schedule , you can always read every teachers info on MINDBODY app.
They do have more things to offer. But I ll leave it for you, to discover on your own. But I promise, you gonna enjoy it!

I enjoy coming here for yoga, the view are great, the space is clean. I haven't tried all the teachers, but the morning class I go is growing on me more and more. It gets easier with practice!

My favorite studio! The view is unbeatable, always spotless and clean, always smells amazing which is very rare for a hot yoga studio. All the teachers are friendly & are attentive of each student. If you haven t been here yet you are missing out !! 10/10 would recommend !

All the good teachers for some reason don't last there. There still are a few but mostly not. It's frustrating for students to find out there favorite teacher is no longer there. I know many students who have left because of this. I don't know if it's ran any better in their new Williamsburg location but I find it strange that pricing is different for each location.

Perfect start to my morning. Love their instructors, everyone is super friendly. All instructors have their own unique style of teaching. All in vinyasa flow. Room is warm but not uncomfortable hot. The view is stunning. My favorite class is at 6:30 am because the sunrise lights up the space. Tried several places in Brooklyn and Manhattan but Hot Spot Yoga is my home.

I just wanted to share an amazing experience at Hot Spot Yoga on Dooley street. Besides the fact that it is a beautiful location with stunning views, there is a huge variety of classes available at different hours of the day and instructors who are all so knowledgeable, accommodating, and overall amazing. This is a place where one goes to escape, regroup, gather thoughts, and most importantly practice yoga. I absolutely love the variety of knowledgeable instructors and the warm welcoming atmosphere!!!

With the space and views, this has to be the nicest studio in brooklyn. I really enjoy coming here. Guaranteed to have a pleasant/relaxing time. I have found the teachers to be incredibly supportive and motivating. Some (including the owner Jaine herself) even reach out in between classes to check in with your progress and see how you're doing. This place is a neighborhood staple.

This is truly the best yoga studio I ve gone to. It is located on the 4th floor and overlooking the bay. If you re up up for sunrise or down for sunset - it is all ther for you. The staff is incredible great, from grind desk personal to toga instructors and to the owner. They also have Pilates a few times a week for those who want to work harder than yoga flow sometimes. The vibe is great too! Highly recommend this studio for each and everyone! Namaste.

I have been practicing yoga at this great studio for almost 8 years now, once being told by my neighbor to go and check it out. I don't know about my neighbor but this studio became my everyday vacation near home ever since. Along with toning my muscles during the vigorous practices and discovering heights that I've never known I could reach ( perfecting handstands, headstands, arm balances and my favorite chin stand), I also learned so much about myself. I'm very thankful for all the instructors there that have taught before and are teaching now. I definitely had my favourites but each played a huge part in my life by bringing something new to my practice. I really recommend HotSpotYoga to everyone since it is the place where one can truly enjoy the moments spent there and the glorious sky that is all around it.

Tried reaching out to the studio numerous times. Nobody ever replied on Instagram, email, or called me back. They kept charging me even though they were closed due to quarantine and I even moved out of the city.

Update: they actually picked up the phone, refunded me for the month of sept and stopped the charges, but not for the summer months, because apparently in my emails I haven t included the words cancel my membership . I didn t want to cancel it, I simply wanted to put it on pause and asked for help on how to do that. They gave me a credit for 3month but I no longer live in the city and can t possibly use it, so it s kinda wasted $426. Although my problem is resolved it doesn t feel quite right.

Beautiful space with an array of experienced Yoga Teachers from many different lineages of Hatha Yoga.

The studio has floor to ceiling windows and overlook the bay with picturesque skyline views that really enhance the yoga practice adding an element of nature.

I know that most of the teachers there have many years of experience teaching and combined easily thousands of hours of training with master teachers.

If you are looking for specific benefits from yoga ask your front desk or one of the senior teachers and they will definitely direct you to the proper class for you.

I highly recommend this studio.

I recently purchased a groupon for this yoga studio after reading the rave reviews posted on yelp and viewing their website. Also the fact that the studio was very close to my home played a major part in my choosing this studio.
Well I visited this studio one cold Saturday morning during February 2015 after viewing their class schedule online. I arrived about 8:19a for their 8:30a class thinking I would have to go through some form of sign up. When I entered the parking lot connected to the building that the studio was located to I was hesitant because all postings in the entrance say it's parking for a nearby nursing home? When I got to the building their was a choice of stairs or elevator. Because it was so cold outside I chose to use the elevator but it didn't work- for any floor that I pushed. So I climbed those four flights of stairs in the freezing cold to their studio to find it dark and closed! I called there number listed on the groupon but got no response.
This experience definitely reminded me that although review sites like yelp are helpful when deciding to use various businesses - you definitely can't rely on them fully. I find it hard to believe that this place could be worthy of so many 5 star reviews when they fail to open for their posted classes,
Contacted groupon immediately to resolve the issue or issue a refund.

This is a nice studio with a great view, but if it is going to market itself as a "hot" yoga studio (as opposed to "low heat" or "warm") then the temperature would definitely have to be higher. Those coming from Bikram or typical hot power yoga studios will probably find the heat at Brooklyn Hot Spot far too low. However, if you're looking for a studio with rather low heat this would be a good option for you.

I usually don t take the time to leave a comment but I was so blown out of the water by the experience that I just couldn t keep my mouth shut.

First and foremost, I m a guy, and yoga isn t my thing, to say the least, plus I m not exactly a fan of the uncharted territories and new experiences, leaning towards comfort and familiar settings, but boy did this place welcomed me with every single detail and made feel right at home.

From the moment you walk in, the setting, the waiting area, the pleasant staff, and the overall vibe makes you feel like you re already deep into a meditation. The people who run this place have thought of everything. From spacious lockers, to private showers, to ice cold water, and mats and extra clothing for the uninitiated like me (which is available for sale) to even q-tips, cotton balls and hair bands (didn t need those) in the bathroom.

My instructor for the day was Jaine, and I have to tell you, aside from the most thorough and intricate knowledge of her art of yoga, she had the most monumental patience, to deal with such unathletic, unbendable klutz that I can be at times.

Thank you so much for giving me your time and attention, and you can be sure to see me time and time and again.

P.S. If any of you live in a small-windowed apartment like mine, facing another building in these concrete jungle we call home, and are longing for the most peaceful view of the canal with tiny little boats resting on the horizon, guess what, you may have found your new home!

Hot spot yoga is a very good yoga studio. I used to be a student there for about 2 years, now I am teaching here. The view is amazing. All teachers are professional and attentive to students' needs. The prices for the classes are reasonable, and there are a lot of classes on schedule every day. There are a lot of props available for the students, they are kept is a great shape. Hot spot is defenetely a great choice for those who live around and even for those who live far it's worth to travel.

I highly recommend this yoga studio. The view of the Emmons canal absolutely can not be beat, the instructors are all experts very professional with the classes. The owner Jaine is very accommodating and friendly and the prices are much better than I have seen anywhere else. Absolutely recommend for anyone and everyone

My favorite yoga studio in NY! I have practiced yoga in every Burrough of NY and this place is the best. The combination of knowledgeable teachers and by far the best view of any yoga studio that i have even seen. Namaste.

a poor excuse for a yoga studio. this is the kind of place where you will get hurt. very, very bad teachers. questionable charges, the only plus is the view. but you're not paying for the view. don't go here unless you are want to get hurt.

I used to love this place , but now all great teachers are gone. It is time for owner to start doing something differently and care for people who work there (especially if you own a place that promotes spiritual practices)

Amazing clean yoga studio, perfect interior and gorgeous view, wonderful location, great devoted instructors. The temperature was warm enough to practice hot yoga, and making it warmer would be awesome.

Beautiful space, amazingly talented and attentive instructors. This is the hidden gem of South Brooklyn. If you re looking for a Manhattan vibe within the neighborhood with the most beautiful and peaceful view of the bay- it exists at Hot Spot!! Classes are great regardless if you are a beginner or an expert. They also have a hot Pilates class. I ve never experienced an instructor I didn t LOVE. So thankful to have this spot in Sheepshead Bay- highly recommend.

Amazing place!!!!! Beautiful, peaceful, and spotless space. Great instructors- I take classes at various times and have a chance to attend classes taught by different instructors. Everyone of them is attentive and brings something different to his/her class. Stuff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend hot spot yoga!!!

Signed up for a class Sunday January 31st. Classed have been going great, teachers were great. Today (Wednesday) my 4th class Yoga class ever, was taught by Amanda McDonald. The class was the toughest I have taken but good. At one point towards the last 15 minutes of the class, I sat back to take a sip of water and to rest for a minute. Amanda walks by and says "Either you participate or go into child post, dont just sit here feeling sorry for yourself" EXCUSE ME?? Who are you to tell me this?? I took my blankets and blocks put them back rolled up the mat and stormed out. As I come out from dressing room, there were no more towels in the locker rooms, so I took 3-4 pieces of napkins from the front desk. Long black curled hair girl tells me "WOWWWWW thats a lot of tissues!!" I said what? "You took a lot of tissues!! thats bad for the environment!!" Im like you already bought it, its already bad, she says "yea but they are sooo expensive!!" So you telling me they are expensive or they are bad for environment? Or you are telling a paying client that they cannot take 3 pieces of tissues from a box that cost 99 cents in the store??? She gave me an attitude and pretended that she was on the phone. Never coming here again.
