Where do I start, this place is amazing.
Yes, they serve more than just hotdogs.
The toppings are innovative and endless.
Try the Mac & Cheese dog!! You will not be disappointed.

I asked for a STRAWBERRY shortcake with no ice cream and they only gave me the cake sponge...

Food is good and dining is ok but the service at. Counter is very very slow. Which makes the line go very very slow

Been coming here for 43 yrs, since New Management they should of left things the way they were....not as good as it once was.

Good dogs n great polish sausages with natural casings, making them crisp with a good flavor.

Excellent hot dogs and Frye's. The dessert is delicious and large portioned as well.

I had heard so much about Hot Dog Heaven - I was so disappointed - I have had better hot dogs and potato chips at Dairy Queen.

Yet another disappointing experience. Second visit in the last month. I held my previous poor experience as an anomaly but after this evening I had to write. I have some positives to try and balance the negatives.

Starting with the positive.
- The serving a French fries is very generous and they're pretty darned good. Quite a unique fry and a good oily flavor that you can only get with a deep fryer.
-My chili dogs with slaw were also very good. Generous portion of sauce and slaw.
-The kids are always happy so I'll try again in a few weeks when we think of it.

The negative.
-They always seem understaffed, not that the wait times are excessive but the effect it has on cleanliness is questionable at best. I did not see anyone cleaning tables or wiping anything down in the dining room or outside while we were there.
-I would like to believe that some additional cleaning happens behind the scenes but the outward appearance doesn't make it seem like that happens, Lowes or any grocery store or other "chain" wipes down the cash register after I use it. An establishment that serves food would make you think they would be doing everything possible to make it seem that they're taking the current situation seriously aside from a sign on the door.
-On my previous visit the person taking my order and running the cash register proceeded to then get drinks with the same gloved hands, gloves are just like your hands, if they get dirty so does everything you touch!!!
-If gloves are too expensive, dedicate employees to one task or wash your hands please.
-Finally the last two visits I have gotten a carbonated beverage from the drink fountain, both visits and all four drinks have left me very disappointed, they did not taste like Pepsi, Dr Pepper or Root Beer. Very watered down and poor taste.

I'm not comparing Hot Dog Heaven to a chain, we try to avoid them other than grocery stores or the home improvement store as mentioned but please try harder. If you think Covid-19 is a hoax then please let me know I will not visit again, I am not a lemming believer but we all need to do our part, that's all I ask. Do not sit still and rely on your reputation forever, before you know it it may not be so Stirling.

Make sure to bring coupons. Great home town feel. Delicious

Best place ever! It's sad that they burned down but I'm looking forward for the rebuilding of it, if they're still going to do it!

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Every time I visit amherst I make sure to get my usual 2 cheese dogs and fries. Best fries ever!!! This people think of amherst they think of this cute place in the center of town.

Well I ve heard so much about this place I had to drive to Amherst to see. I really don t see anything that says 5 star. It s Hotdogs and fries. They weren t bad. But just like a hot dog and fry. I guess the build up ruined it. House was cool.

Omg!! This place has been more than 30 years and I love it!! It is awesome!! A lil pricey but tastes great!!! The only hot dogs I'll eat!! Best fries I have ever had too!!

I had my first experience with Hot Dog Heaven at the Brew Kettle Golf Outing 2017. Maybe their restaurant is different than their food truck. The owner responded that there are grill marks... Well didn't see any grill or grill marks on our cold dogs.

I can say firsthand they don't sell these grilled hot dogs (with out any grill marks that taste similar to boiled hot dogs) in Heaven! After trying them served from their food truck, I definitely wouldn't drive out to Amherst to get another dog, when you can find similar products at your local gas station.

As we rounded the turn they gave the 4 golfers in our scramble 2 hot dogs each. Everyone in my party commented after taking the first bites, how the dogs were cold in the middle (which they were).

I said something to the person serving them from their Hot Dog Heaven (Food Truck), instead of correcting the issue, offering us warm food, his response while laughing was, and I quote, "We will work on it."

Looking through the reviews it seems others have had similar experiences.

We were additionally dissapointed that the lunch at the turn was not Brew Kettle food, as their pulled pork is excellent and would have been the quality we expected after paying 100.00 for the outing.

In summary, if Hot Dog Heaven served their food in Hell it would not surprise me. Gross!

Im sorry to say but it was not really good because there was no ketchup on the tables and. The Fry's where cold and not done all the way.i will probably not be back anytime soon until they fix stuff you can e mail me at joshuame34@gmail.com i been going there for years and i never seen it this bad

I hadn't been here for over 10 years until today. Even under new ownership the food was just as awesome today as it was then. 2 hot dogs with chi i (sauce), cheese, and onions, and a side of fries. Service was excellent. Everything was fantastic!

Food was sub par maybe par, I had a beef dog and kielbasa. Frys were so greasy I could of wrung them out. Now... I could of handled that but the lasy who took my order acted as if I was in the wrong for not knowing the menu and how to order by heart. Well, your menus sucked and they were poorly placed. So,... yeah, I'll go hungry and drive up the road before I come back. It is edible though, and it could of been worse. 2 stars!!

Several weeks ago my husband and I were in the area. Having grown up in Amherst we thought it would be nice to go to Hot Dog Heaven, I have fond memories of conversations with Jack and Tom over the years. My how things have changed! The day managers were nasty older women! There weren't many people in the place which was surprising for a lunch time. Hot dogs and the chili sauce were very good, just as I remembered. The french fries, which use to be awesome, were burnt! The kitchen conversation that could be heard in the dining area was VERY inappropriate! the women were bashing men and saying men are worthless and without women to tell them what to do they are totally useless. I don't think the professional gentlemen and the grandfatherly gentleman will return. I know we wont for awhile, maybe things will improve. They need people that care about the customer back in there, if Tom still works for them that is the kind of person who needs to be there caring for the customers like him and Jack always did.

Great dogs and chili. A number of other items on the menu for non-dog eaters, but keep in mind it's a hot dog place, so don't expect to be blown away by the non-dog options. Cost of dogs a little higher than one one would expect, hence the four star. If you are into chili dogs though, this is a must try.
