Very good restaurant by the black lake. Spectacular view.

Perfect welcome, the staff is very pleasant. Very well located hotel, quiet and spacious rooms (bathroom to possibly update)

Maybe a little disappointed with the view from the rest. We had booked a Seeblick suite because of the description of its lake view but we did not expect to have a lake view from above the hotel roof as our room was on the second line and not on the lake

Welcoming, small functional suite overlooking the lake and the mountains. Decent breakfast.

Large hall is only used as a dining room .... afternoon coffee only in the dining room ..... I come for the view ....

Very nice place, the food is excellent, we ate in the front room of the restaurant with a beautiful view of the black lake, just a little noisy if there are a lot of people, the service could be more (class), but I think it's hard to find great staff, almost perfect for me, just these 2 areas for improvement !!

Very nice hotel. However, I was not a hotel guest and still ate well.

Classy hotel-restaurant with lots of amenities such as kids room, pizza parlour, big glass wintergarden.

We were a few weeks ago as a family, in one of the rooms we had a problem with a broken window, they were not very proactive with the solution and finally we spent the night without seriousness. The rooms are very old and the conditions are not very good, we are not satisfied with the treatment by the Hotel Manager and therefore, I do not recommend it as a place of rest.
However, the service in the restaurant was excellent and highly recommended.

Food is very good! The service leaves much to be desired! At the front desk I was not noticed !! The staff would rather put their heads down on some paper. Despite greetings on my part did not come back. The service staff can hardly German and is not very friendly. Drinks we had to ask twice if there is anything else .... Very bad. Atmosphere, view and food are great !!

Hotel very well placed, breathtaking view of the lake. Very good quality restaurant. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are very friendly. An ideal place to relax.

It is very good to discover a beautiful place with its lake and its walks but also skiing with the family.

A well - kept place in the tradition of Swiss inns. Open in April and open on Mondays! Thank you. Prices are average to high for wines for example. But the place is cozy and the tenants nice.

We did not stay, but just ate at noon ... Pizza tip top but unfriendly server ... Really not nice .. pity it does not want to go back.

Presents for a seminar of 3 days. Very nice work rooms. Very large rooms because often family. Idyllic setting.

Great hotel, huge rooms and suites, very very nice staff and fantastic surroundings. Also top as a seminar hotel! We will be back.

I reserved a table for 2, but we stood in the middle of the room for what felt like an eternity until the staff agreed which table was still available. Unfortunately in the middle of the passage between the winter garden / terrace and the dining room (uncomfortable and very loud). That the table wobbled and I had to explain to the staff that a beer mat would be the solution is a detail. Unfortunately, my wild boar entrecote was also so well done that it was no longer a pleasure. Also a shame that we were still at the aperitif when the food was served without asking for red wine. The menu for open wines is extremely thin and does not include wines that go with game. Fortunately, we were able to retreat to the fireplace afterwards, otherwise the whole evening would have been a disappointment.
The staff was friendly but completely chaotic. Shame for the beautiful place. Have a drink on the terrace in summer. I won't eat there anymore.

What a wonderful Hotel in the Schwarzsee region.We had some wonderful dinner and breakfast's here, my only regret is that I didn't have time to fully utilize the facility, well I guess I'll have to come back and make the Hotel my priority for rest and relaxation!

Exceptional site, used in my case regularly for seminars. A friendly and efficient staff, new rooms simply beautiful and equipped with modern equipment, fine cuisine, favorable conditions, and of course a majestic setting. To discover or re-discover absolutely!

It was great here. Nothing to explain, just a small note. In the family suite there was still tension. We enjoyed the time.

Arrived at around 7:30 pm for dessert. We were ignored by the waiter, no greeting, no look. The second waitress hurried past us too. Then just sat down. Service was always erratic and unfriendly - we felt like intruders, but certainly not as guests. The question about half a coupe for our child was turned down, which is very strange for a restaurant that belongs to a 4-star hotel.
Coupes were very nicely prepared and the ice cream delicious. Prices ok.

Eat good. Friendly staff. Nice service. Have not laughed so much for a long time.

Place to visit. A walking tour around the lake / superb view ... What a beautiful country ....

Super fine food and very nice service. In contrast to this are the somewhat outdated (but clean and large) rooms. The ski room is somehow just a cellar !?

The staff is very nice and accommodating and the food is fine. The hotel is very family-friendly. The Schwarsee region is beautiful. We are now almost regular guests and will definitely plan a few days of vacation there again.

Beautiful rooms and free mini golf, what more could a guy ask for.

Very beautiful and charming place, in the heart of the Friborg pre-Alps.
Good food and great service from the staff.
Clean and spacious room but to bring up to date in my opinion.
But good for 160.- a night is really very good.
I recommend the sauna which can be turned on on request outside of show hours which makes it private for total relaxation.

The hostellerie is in a wonderful place. The area is very pretty. The ski slopes were perfectly groomed. Great for kids too. The hotel itself is pretty, a bit old in the sauna area, but usable. Unfortunately there More

The food in the restaurant is perfect. Unfortunately, the staff in the restaurant makes unprofessional work and are rude. The tables are not cleared and you have to ask that they extra wipe the table. Moreover, in the worst case they ignore a ...

For me a place to relax with a view of the lake. Delicious little things to eat. Wood-fired pizza!

Everything tiptop except for the service. Our waitress was overwhelmed with language and technology (tablets for order).

Delicious cuisine and great alternative, if you do not want to eat in a mountain hut atmosphere while skiing.

Too bad that the service in spite of the "stars" was inattentive, the ordered did not correspond to the served! The food was delicious.

The hotel does not deserve its 4 stars at all. It is dated, the rooms should be redone. The pool doesn't make me want to. The restaurant menu is very limited. And the quality of the food leaves something to be desired as does the service. I recommend the small hotel next door that looks much cleaner.

No restrictions whatsoever. The room - almost perfect - very comfortable - very clean. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired - here too, perfect order and cleanliness. Extensive breakfast and fresh regional products. Restaurant priced ok - and very good pizzas - the fish dishes very convincing.
Staff and service staff - extremely friendly and competent.

In short - a place to feel good - thank you for the perfect vacation days

Bad understanding of French by the staff and therefore bad ingredient on the pizza (garlic = egg !! yet translated by a Swiss German!)
Seasonal vegetables = cauliflower, carrot broccoli of a frozen mix !! but no zucchini, peppers, aubergines or fresh tomatoes, surprising in summer.
In addition the carafe of water is charged at 7CHF even if you consume to 4 people. Very unhappy

I am positively surprised by the location or the view of the hostellerie. Every time I went out to eat, everything was right (from the food service) Also the side offers such as massage, swimming pool and sauna I liked it and would do it again anytime :-)

Nice place but every time we come, we can never eat there and the answer we get is that it's fully booked by hotel guests.

We were a bit disappointed with the food on our last visit. On my ordered Wildbeilagenteller were 3! rock-hard chestnuts more decoration than an aftertaste, besides, the usual ingredients seemed to have gone out, then it was Romanesco and cauliflower on the plate. - pity, I was so looking forward to it! The price-performance ratio has not dammed at 42 .-- at all, notabene 4 .-- less than deer pepper.

4 star hotel with restaurant and swimming pool in an idyllic location. A must

Very nice terrace, you can see the top of mountain. Specifically during the winter season, scenery is breathtaking. At terrace they provide you with blanket. Hotel looks nice and clean. I didn't stay at rooms so I can't tell about that. But the food and scenery is worth to see.
