Terrible place, my wife experienced Sandra Ross herself belittling her own staff members & frankly her hair looked terrible. I'd give 0 stars but it doesn't get posted without putting 1. Take your buisness else where ladies, there are plenty of options around to get your hair done & not have to listen to some rude woman spew her unwelcome opinions!

Yadi Oches is my lovely, fantastic hairdresser at Sandra Ross Salon! The rest of the staff are very friendly & nice, as are their other clients, women & men. Free on street parking is available for this woman owned shop in the always interesting Oak Park Arts District of small business owners!

I like the staff here. The employees were very warm towards me and my baby and even took her from me when I needed someone to hold her so that I could have my hair cut. Since I do not have a babysitter, it is important that I am able to bring the baby places with me and not feel like she is unwelcome. The staff seemed friendly and positive and when I asked one of them to change what had been done to my hair, she said "no problem:)".

I started going to Sandy in November 2020. I have had two cuts and an additional bang trim between. She has done an amazing job every time. She knows about my active lifestyle/what I do, because she asked/cares. She used this information to develop a cut at the length that I requested that could be styled, left to air dry, or look good as bed head. Amazing. She really knows her way around a head with scissors and can cover really great conversation topics the whole time. And the hair looks great when it grows out. I look forward to sitting in her chair again.

I went in and saw Diane for a haircut. Wanted a short bob. My hair is very thick and needs to be thinned otherwise it gets very poufy. Layers also make my hair very poufy. Diane seemed to have very little concept of the difference between the two. Suffice to say, I am now the proud owner of a very poufy bob. I look a bit like a goomba. Luckily hair grows. I will not be returning here. Fine salon if you're over the age of 50 or specifically enjoy looking like a mushroom cap. This lady does not understand thick hair.
