Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting
Delicious food with a lot of variety
Staff is very friendly
And nothing is too much
Rooms are very neat and spacious with a breathtaking view over the lake and the slopes on the other side

We ate super fine pizza here. Very (child) friendly service, short waiting time. So you can enjoy it as a family. We will be back!

Large room / apartment, because the bedroom is separated from a room with table for 5 people, sitting area and small kitchen. The whole in a calm and a marvelous region.

The Hostellerie am Schwarzsee is located directly on the road that passes by Schwarzsee in the Canton of Friborg. Actually a nice location, if there was not the road. But you have a nice view of the lake, if you have a room at the front. The house is large and has many large rooms. I had, as a single room, almost a suite (suite lake view) for two people. A living area including sitting area with terrace, a kitchen incl. Dining table, a spacious bedroom for two, then a walk-in closet and a large bathroom next to it. The hostel seems to have been built especially for the ski season. Unfortunately, the suite was a bit worn and aged. Hygiene is not the core competence of the hostel. That is also my impression of all other areas. Nevertheless, it was a nice stay, I'm not so picky. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The food was good and the breakfast too. The four stars are unfortunately really over the top. Dear, I am honest.

A normal tourist attraction. Not expensive, self-service, small selection.
In nice weather overcrowded. The view is wonderful.
Skiing and sledding are both possible.

Nice terrace to enjoy an ice cream overlooking the lake.

Terrible service, 30 minutes waiting for a drink. A couple arrived after us was served with their pizza in 10 minutes. Asked a Viennese chocolate, received a glass of hot milk and a bag of cocoa .. short very bad experience for a restaurant "4 stars".

Very bad experience. Reception nonexistent, the server was unfriendly, he was not even able to bring us the card and simply ignored us. The 4 stars are in any case neither in service nor in reception! Really very rude, so go your way and go elsewhere!

Meal with friends unanimously disappointing because of unprofessional service, is not up to a 4-star. Good food but dishes served cold.
