Up until today I sent all my service work to this company until I was charged 5 dollar service charge for 92 cents for parts. I have never been charged a service fee for having parts pulled for a stock item on the shelf. I will now be sending my work to another store and will never do business with this company again!!!!
I bent a rod on my lippert LCI level-up hydraulic rv leveling jacks. Lippert makes the rods from aluminum to save weight. The issue is, if your coach or fifth wheel shifts they can bend slightly and will not retract. The new part from lippert without expedited shipping was quoted at $467.00. I decided to call around and find out if it could be repaired. Sam at Horton power walked me through how to measure and confirm by phone that they could fix it. The benefit of repair vs. new is I now have a steel rod which is much stronger and I didn't landfill a part and I patronized local business. The part is now back to new, looks amazing and was completed in just one working day with no shipping costs. I now have a superior part and am back on the road. Their machinist is a master at his craft and the leg was tested to 2000psi before I picked it up. Yes you can repair your lippert level-up rv leveling system if you bend a leg.
I cant believe that this business charges a labor rate to measure for seals that they will ultimately sell... Customer service is low and count on a high restocking fees if you need to return parts, even in stock items.
I have been in once and called twice to get some hoses made but to no avail, never a call to say why they don't have them made yet. They are real nice folks but the point is that it should not take 3 weeks and 3 contacts to get them to do something as simple as making a hose. Save your time and go to Andy's, one trip and done and they are just as nice.
Sorry Horton's but you can do better.
I have dropped off multiple rams and pumps at Horton s. They usually turn them around pretty quick. Thanks guys.
Ordered a $1300 hydraulic pump, the pump failed immediately and we were told...so sorry, better luck next time. Lost our original pump in the process. Thanks for the solid help guys.
