One of the best cocktail bars I have tried in Singapore, try their Mad Men Long Island Tea for the kick. It doesn't taste alcoholic too. Gonna try their entire menu in the next few weeks

Love the ambience of the bar. Very little indoor seating though. Phase 2 opening specials - beef stew and truffle linguine, both of which we enjoyed very much. Skewers are fine, slightly burnt.

Few months ago, I met Mixes from Mars who I had experienced exceptional service. They told me to come by there 'sister' outlet if I had the time. Brought a few friends along and their cocktails were wow! I liked their Ice Man and Ice on Wheels, it was really interesting that there was a colorful bread (They mentioned childhood delicacy) and homemade Taro Ice Cream. I had quite a nice cocktail with starfruit and sour plum!

Check out their food too, the steak is awesome!

Hopscotch gives off really cosy vibes and is occupied by experienced bartenders that mainly revolves around bespoke cocktails. Bartenders were able to serve me interative and delicious cocktails that revolves around my preferred taste palette. Would definitely drop by again whether it's a blue monday or moments when it's time to go wild.

Hopscotch has an amazing ambience that will make you feel like you're having a drink in your living room. That is if your living room had warm cosy lighting, amazing company all around, and a bar with the range and quality to rival the best cocktail bars in Singapore.

Great service!

Great service!

Cosy place

Parking lots available

Windy outside seating

Truffle fries not as crispy as I would like it but flavourful

Ribeye steak was on point and exactly medium rare. If only they did it on charcoal.

Please offer salad!

Otherwise worth a visit

Our first time here was a happy accident: we had been heading elsewhere at first, only to find that place was closed for a private event. And thus ended up with a great dinner, fantastic live music, and really creative cocktails. Absolutely loved the lobster bisque, mushroom risotto, and the clams. Cynthia and Linus, their resident band on Fridays, also take song requests. A place with a very chill vibe. The staff know their menu well and were able to recommend cocktails that met our tastes. Highly recommended.

9.35 I asked again. "Coming soon".
9.45 I asked again. "Who took the order?". I said I don't remember, too long ago. Whether they could bring me the cocktail now?!
9.50 I left.
Seriously, I never had sth like that before. 45mins and no drink. Chaotic organisation....

A. Drinks (cocktail) look fancy but only one or two items we ordered are decent.

B. Believe most people come here not for the food as the foods are really not impressive. The only item I think is good is the lamb skewer.

C. Quite expensive. Per person about (70-80 dollars we spent that night

The overall exterior and interior settings of the bar plus the warm lighting, gave it a very classy look. It isn t one of those typical bars and pubs that you go to that is pitch black dark and noisy.
It s the perfect place to sit down, get a drink and relax with your group of friends. There are even board games for you to play with.

Nice ambience = a great option for chilling sessions and get-together with your friends. It is situated near Labrador Park MRT (if you are taking public transport) within a 10 minutes walk.

Food is awesome and I was spoilt for choices at the skewers section. I really enjoyed the beef and smoked duck ones especially. I ordered the steak (med-well) and it has a nice bite to it, not too chewy nor was it too tough. Their truffle fries are to die for too (must must must order!).

Drinks are affordable (not forgetting they have Happy Hours too) and as I am not a very good drinker and I really dislike the alcohol taste in my mouth, I would order a be-spoke cocktail. What I got really surprised me! I could NOT taste the alcohol although there was vodka in it. There was a sweet and floral taste that lingers in my mouth which I really liked. There are other cocktail choices too that gives off a local touch, which makes them really unique to try!

All in all, it's a perfect spot to bring your friends/family/partner for some bonding time. Would definitely go back again!

Attended an event where their events team, Mixes from Mars provided the drinks. Decided to come by their bar and wow, this is on another level. They play with so many different ingredients. Personally I loved the Mad Men Long Island Tea even though I'm not a fan of sweet drinks (The effect comes way after). Hit Jo up and ask for a spirit forward bespoke, won't disappoint. I had a twist of a martini with St George. It was perfect! Will be back soon!

Been to this bar a few times. It is very chill place with good vibes. I usually sit outdoors to get some fresh air but if you want to see performances it is recommended to sit by the bar.

Buying bottles is affordable but I enjoy their bespoke and local cocktail the most. Happy hour cocktail is at $15!!!

Food I will recommend ebi burger, truffle mash and risotto

Potatoes undercooked and the ribs severely over salted. the beer was undrinkable and literally had to be returned. the $20+ specialty mixed drink was just an overpriced snowcone. the burger was OK. i suggest just get the burger and have a heineken if you must eat here.

A definite go-to place to stay away from the central crowd. Very cozy ambience and proactive staff. Hopscotch also has a fine selection of cocktails which they do not fail to impress. Certainly a recommendation!

One of the best bespoke cocktail bars I have visited in sunny Singapore. Prices are relatively affordable, and the bartenders are exceptionally skilled. I could not stop myself from ordering just one cocktail! Great ambience and very cozy as well.

They have live music by local musicians every Friday and Saturday, and on all other special occasions. Plus, they have events with special event cocktails every few weeks! Still missing the eggnog cocktail I had when I visited on Christmas Eve.

I have also heard that they do mobile bar services as well - would definitely love to have them set up a pop-up bar at my parties :)

Overall, great service, wonderfully and exquisitely crafted cocktails, and central location. What more could one ask for?

I was here last friday night with a group of friends and we totally love the atmosphere here. Very good place to chill and relax with friends. They serve very unique drinks and shots such as bandung shots which is a total must try. The bar also provides games that are suitable for group playing, will be back again real soon!

Visited them last week. Had a great experience. Food was great, ordered the Lobster Tagliatelle and Chicken Roulade, very filling. Had their cocktails on the side. Lunchbox Special was super interesting, its a soupy cocktail which went well with our food. We also had a Singapore twist of an Old Fashioned together with a desserty White Sands

Awesome bar! For someone who loves spirit forward cocktails they never get it wrong. And that's just for the bespoke side! My friends loved the house cocktails with their whimsical decorations, especially the Mad Men Long Island Tea. Check out Fridays and Saturdays too for their live bands!

Tucked away in Gillman Barracks where Singapore s wannabe hipsters hang out, Hopscotch provides top notch bar food. The pork cheek jowls were so tender that they could be shredded with just a fork alone, and well-marinated. The wagyu burger was decent for its price and the patty was sufficiently fatty, with melted cheese drooling over the side. Razor clams were very fresh too. My friends and I ate many other dishes but unfortunately at some point the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures and just tucked in. The drinks were creative (miso soup with alcohol anyone?) but a tad on the higher side. I would highly recommend the Kungfu Hustle, with its unique flavour profile (chrysanthemum scotch).

My only gripe would be that it took quite a fair bit of effort to draw the attention of the waiters (who were very friendly) as we were seated at the furthest table.

Enjoyed the Malt & Marsh cocktail that we had. It's a dessert cocktail which I really liked. The drinks on their menu had a local touch to it & has a story that goes with it which makes it really interesting. There was also a live band playing when we went there on a Saturday. Good place to chill with friends.

I remember the days where Hopscotch was a cosy bar...

I remember the days where Hopscotch was a cosy bar inside the Red Dot Traffic Building, whipping up a good variety of novelty cocktails. They haven't deviated from this specialty, but the vibes here now are quite different in the hipster/artsy enclave of Gillman Barracks.

They still keep things interesting, changing their menu up once in a while. They're on their 5th menu at the moment, with Singapore or Asian themed cocktails.

My cocktail of choice: Kungfu Hustle (U.P. $22++/HH $15++), which has a base of Chrysanthemum infused scotch. It's exactly what I look for in a cocktail: Strong, & not sweet. A harmonious balance of floral rose honey, fragrant Gunpowder Tea ( ), with a hint of heat from young ginger. Also, check out the bottle it's served in - soooo aesthetic.

Happy Hour is 5:30 - 8:30PM daily, & yes I could get HH prices on my cocktail ($15++) despite redeeming a Burpple Beyond deal on the same bill. I always make sure I check, & never to assume. I appreciate it when restaurants are flexible like that, so thank you Hopscotch!

The Ribeye Steak ($26++) is part of the Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 menu options. 220g of New Zealand Grass-fed Black Angus Ribeye. It's a simple hunk of steak, with not much else to the dish. It lies on a light swoosh of Purple Potato Mash that wasn't very carby, & has a small side of sauteed baby spinach for you to get your veggies & fibre in.

I opted for my usual medium rare, but was afraid that at this thickness it'd be a little tough. But it wasn't! It was also seasoned pretty well; I didn't need to dip it in the veal jus served on the side - though that was tasty too. (My dad lapped it up quite eagerly...)

Hopscotch's Chilli Lobster Tagliatelle ($28++) pays homage to local flavours with a chilli sauce of local spices & a lobster-based stock. The chewy homemade tagliatelle pasta was firm to the bite, & the half a Boston lobster it comes with is fairly meaty. The heat isn't unbearable, in all quite pleasantly tingly on the tongue with a subtle sweetness.

Being a pasta & seafood lover, I would order this again. Exceptionally pleased that I got this at "half price" thanks to Burpple Beyond's 1-for-1 main deals, too!

[Original Review in 2016]
First time I came here, it was for an event & they served their cocktails in plastic cups. So much for the great presentation I was looking for.

Decided to give Hopscotch a 2nd chance & I didn't regret it. My friends & I had a great time here. There are table games to play, the bar snacks are so addictive (haha), & the cocktails are delicious & innovative. Service was good as well; when our drinks were served, along came an explanation of what we were drinking. We came during happy hour & some side ingredients weren't available for the cocktails (e.g. grass jelly/dry ice), so that was the only bummer.

Hopscotch will be relocating to a new location at the end of the year; I will be sure to patronize them again.
