So yesterday was my first time and I love it! The mexican mocha and butterscotch scone was the best food I have put in my mouth in a long time! My barista made the scones and put a little heart on my coffee!!! I plan to come back soon!

Nice little hole in the wall coffee shop! It is super cozy, and has very good coffee and pastries! The atmosphere is nice, and is perfect for meeting up with friends or working a bit on a laptop. Parking is relatively easy. Never too crowded but also not awkwardly empty. I go here before work some days and am never disappointed.

I absolutely love Homers. The staff is outstanding and I consider them friends. The seating along the wall is the perfect height with the tables for computer users. However, there is one major problem in the summer. They will not turn on the air conditioning. They have no central air. They have 2 wall units on the east wall. They say if they turn them on they will drip on the paintings they sell that are on the wall. I have been coming here since 1996 and have never seen one sold. All they have to do is move 3 paintings. They also will tell you the air conditioning units will drip on the customers. It's 96 degrees outside and 76 degrees in here. It averages 77 to 78 degrees in the summer. The staff will tell you people complain about the heat every day. Yet the Owner will do nothing to correct the problem and make it comfortable for the customers. I don't get it. I have left here many times to go to a competitor of there's and avoided this place in the summer due to this problem. I have to drive much farther to the nearest coffee house I like. I know I am not the only one. I would rather come here.

Pleasant, quiet atmosphere with a large stage for music. But if you're looking for a great coffee, go just about anywhere else. Worst coffee I've had in KC. Not only was the taste awful in the espresso I had, but grounds covered the bottom of the cup.

Additionally, the staff, while friendly, aren't knowledgeable, capable baristas.

This place is a fine eatery, but as a coffee shop, even Starbucks is much better.

I had a really lovely banana smoothie. The service was wonderful. The live band packed up early and the server volunteered to sing for me. The barista made several coffee recommendations, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon sitting in their leather corner seat I found a stray cheerio and was informed it was now mine and also free. Their Homer's original blend drip coffee is strong and delicious also.

The girl behind the register just looked at me. No good morning, no may I help you? No nothing. Just staring blankly at me. The barista was 100% focused on her conversation with a delivery guy, so the lady in front of me and myself waited an extra 5-7 minutes because she couldn t multi-task. Pretty amazing to turn your back on customers and have a long conversation that has nothing to do with business. Nonetheless, won t be back.

Very friendly staff. Feels more like your neighborhood coffee house rather than many of the coffee shops downtown. Awesome for families. Gary, Chloe, Vanessa, Glenn... All provide great service.

Good coffee and environment, didn't expect to have a show with a lice band, it was really nice and we got to spend more time enjoying our coffee because my two year old son was entertained.

Such an awesome local coffee shop. Good coffee makes good lattes. The pastries are from local places as well. They also have ice cream there, so you can get affogatos there. I hear they even have local music at times. Parking can sometimes be tricky, but there is a lot across the street next to torrador restaurant that usually has an open spot. Recommend the thai supreme!!

I really enjoyed my visit to Homer's, it was very relaxed and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff made me feel welcome. The hot cocoa I ordered was merely OK but the total experience was great.

This is a hidden Gem among coffee houses in the area. Skip the Starbucks down the street and head here!

Even though it can get crowded, and the parking lot is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate, it is worth it!

The staff here is always over the top friendly, and they make a great cup of joe. They also offer ice cream if someone in your party isn't a coffee drinker. I wish there was more seating inside, as it is very cozy. The outdoor seating is limited, but refreshing.

A great place to go and get work done during the day. Even though it's busy, service is quick and there's always a place to sit that isn't too loud. They also have live music nights which are a blast!

I've had three great experiences here. Unfortunately tonight the customer service was sub par. The barista did not acknowledge my wife or I for 3 minutes and it wasn't busy at all. We left without buying anything.

I had not been to Homer's in months. Dave remembered me by my name as I walked in the door; I had to ask him for his. The shot-in-the-dark the beautiful barista prepared for me was perfection.

I came here for the first time a few days ago and I had to come back while I'm still in the area. This is such a cute coffee house with tons of natural lighting and lot's of seating and outlets. I ordered an iced angel caramello both times and had the coffee cake the first time. The customer service is also great and I saw on their website that they host a Bible study here on Sundays which is really cool!

Great experience! Their tables are socially distanced, so all are available. The only awkward experience was that, in contactless paying, the tablet is on the opposite side of the screen, so they ask you how much you would like to tip.

Love their iced tea, of all things. Very quiet with plenty of space to work. They are a Christian based establishment but play the most excellent folk/indie music most of the time that I've been there.

An excellent place to study, read, meet with friends, and enjoy a fine cup of coffee. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is plenty if seating. The bathrooms are very clean. An excellent coffee experience.

Coffee shop, friendly staff for the most part. Coffee was what was needed for the beginning of the day. They have pastries and some more savory types of selections (quiche from what I could see.) live music during the weekends. The seating area is equipped with various types of chairs and tables and benches.
