Holtza Habitat Review

This is the worse company ive ever had to deal with. I moved out of Garden Estates West in Michigan City back in July. I have yet to receive my deposit and the property manager Michelle is telling me she have no records of my file because the previous manager no longer works there. Ive called them multiple times in the last 2 months and now they ignore my calls unless i call from an unknown number. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I moved out because management and their inability to be professional on top of them stealing from tenants. The property manger Michelle was very ride then gave me a number to her 'boss' that ended up being her own number because she is the regional manager. All i want is my deposit back from my apartment here it is November and i still havnt gotten my money back an explanation or an answer from anyone! This established deserves 0 stars and i will be reporting this to Yelp and the BBB.

I live in the LAS AMERICAS APARMENTS building, the habitat company has started to manage the building and no one from that company has come to appear before the residents that live in the building, besides it gave employment to the employees who were with the other company and thinking that changing the company exchange things everything remains the same, the present administration does not accept suggestions from residents, there is the arrogance of both the administrator and the coordinator, for them the elderly are numbers, and not people who are living the last stage of our lives, we are not considered as such, there is no love and motivation that we need, in short I only ask the habitat to be present on the property to ask for solutions to many problems we have in the building

I just want to say Vidal is a great handy man. He repaired my back door easily which other repairmen had been sent but couldn't complete the job. But Vidal is top notch and his work has quality. 5 stars go to him

I live in a condo at Riverfront Towers in Detroit... The only thing I can say is, STAY AWAY! Our property manager is rude, lies and speaks poorly about everyone. I overheard her speaking to an owner about another owner. I was so disgusted and furious. She never shares updates or information about what's happening. I'm hoping to sell my condo within the year because I can't stand her or the board. Like I said, STAY AWAY!

WHILE I MUST ADMIT I'VE COME ACROSS SOME MANAGERS WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE....... AT THE SAME TIME ALTHOUGH WHAT I FIND SO DISTUBING ABOUT THE HABIT COMPANY IS THE FACT THAT THE COMPANY CHANGES MANAGEMENT TEAM AS THOUGH THEY'RE CHANGING THEY'RE OWN UNDERWEAR EVERY OTHER FIVE OR SIX MONTHS , IF A PERSON LEAVES A MESSAGE THEY NEVER CALL BACK OR ARE ALWAYS OUT OF THE OFFICE AND YOUR CALL GETS TRANSFERED BACK TO SQUARE ONE ALL OVER AGAIN...... MOST MANAGEMENT TEAMS WITH THE HABIT COMPANY HIRE SECURITY GUARD COMPANIES AND EXPECT THE GUARDS TO EITHER NOT ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION WITH TENANTS IN THE BUILDING OR AND NOT ALLOW THE GUARDS TO ROAM AROUND ON THE LOBBY ENTRANCE INSIDE THE BUILDING TO STRETCH THEY'RE LEGS AND ASSURE DOORS ARE SECURED , OUTSIDE OF THE FACT MOST MANAGEMENT TEAMS WITH THE HABIT COMPANY CHANGE SECURITY GUARD COMPANIES IN THE DROP OF HAT IN WHICH I BELIEVE IS BAD FOR TENANTS AND THE GUARDS THEMSELVES AS TO WHERE EACH ARE FAMILIAR WITH ONE ANOTHER UPON CONTACT ......

Habitat is the worst building management company ever, most of the bldgs they manage and own are infested with rats and roaches, they are seldom cleaned and when cleaned they are not cleaned properly....stay away from habitat properties!!!

The management team is uneducated, rude, and nasty as well (not all, some of the employees are great individuals).

Desde el 2007 Vivo en Wicker Paek Apto, cada administracion q pasa es peor. Habittat es un desastre, ni q contar las cosas q pasan en este edif. En cuanto a limpieza, vigilancia, control del personal q entra y sale, etc. Pero para rematar poner coordinadieas, supuestamente p ayudar a los ancianos y es lo q menos hacen. Claro hay una muy buena forma p q lo atiendan y traten bien y es llevandoles comida y regalos a diario, tanto a la oficina como a la seguridad de la puerta p q no vean.. Pero yo no compro mis derechos, los reclamo...

This review is coming from a unit owner in one of the condo managed building of The Habitat Company. I made a mistake one evening by parking in the wrong spot, as I was tired one evening, which is the first time this has ever happened. Often, the building management sends out notices to people if they are parking in the wrong spot for unregistered cars. My car is registered in the building, however instead of alerting me that my car was parked in the wrong spot, which I could have fixed within minutes, the building allowed for my car to be towed. They could have simply looked up my car registration, but they did not do that. They could have also alerted me after the car was towed, but again they did not do that. Instead, since I do not drive often, I didn't find out for several days later when I went looking for my car. Since they did not alert me of the issue, I kept paying fees to the towing company each day the car was parked there that I didn't know about it. To follow up this, I brought this issue up the building management and corporate team, and they took no ownership or any fault. They held strong through many correspondences that they were not going to do anything to provide any responsibility of the issue. They highlighted to me they are comfortable treating people with very little care and are incapable of taking fault when they make a mistake.
