Most awesome fun and traditional German fare. Always great beer too

If I was able to give zero to this restaurant, I would. The food is disgusting. It doesn't have any taste at all. I'm very dissappointed. Im wondering if the reviews are reliable.. Save your money and get a couple hamburgersfrom the dollar menu.

Food and Atmosphere were incredible, truly as authentic as you can get [for a German restaurant in America].
Would advise getting a sausage platter, so that you can try several different kinds.
And make sure to get the pretzel app.!

The one and only authentic German beer garden anywhere close she to Orlando, a must go place if you like authentic Bavarian food. The beer here is spectacular. I know it's far, but the drive is worth it.

I hate giving out reviews, but this is well deserved. I can see why they have over 5,000 reviews. Great German Cafe!

Oh man where to start, I ve been to Hollerbach s a few times before and the food is always amazing. But tonight it was just a completely different experience. We got sat immediately and then greeted by our server Osa. This young lady was so energetic, informative and overall genuine. During our entire meal she would periodically check up on us, crack a few jokes and make sure that everything was going smoothly. At the end of the meal I could not have been any more satisfied. Osa made us feel like we were actually enjoying our meal in Germany. Amazing server and I will return soon to sit with her again.

Service was terrible today we are regular customers, first time in 4 years for us. What's going on!

A very authentic German experience! Great to see the Umpah! With great food and excellent service. It s location is easy for parking and there are some nice shops to browse to walk off those plentiful calories.

Authentic German cuisine, as close as you can get in central Florida. On weekend evenings a live polka band adds atmosphere to the restaurant. A recently expanded bar area with imported German beers ties the experience together. Hopefully as the pandemic comes to a close we can all begin enjoying das boot at Hollerbach's once again.

Willow Tree is one of my most favorite restaurants in Central Florida! I don't come super often, but every time I've been I've never been disappointed. The food and service are always on point! The pretzel, Jaeger Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, Kase Spaetzle, and Sweet Red Cabbage are personal favorites. The menu is a tad pricey but the portion sizes are so big I usually get two meals out of it, specially if you start with a pretzel and beer! If you've never been, do yourself a favor and go!

Came here for lunch best German food I have ever had in the US.

I used to really love this place till my last experience here. Saturday (the 23rd) I went downtown Sanford and only upon arrival realized there was an event going on so recommended to my wife that we go directly to Hollerbach's and put our name in as we anticipated a LONG wait time. We walked up to the hostess stand and before we could even speak she said (with attitude) "We're like on a 2hr wait".... I was like okay, can I still put my name in? and she replied "If you'd like".... I then said "William, party of 4" and she asked for my number, read it back to me and then stated we would get a text when our table was ready. The preceding exchanged took place shortly after 7pm. This was fine by us however as we wanted to walk around a bit and maybe grab a drink somewhere and just hang out. Around 830, we decided to collect our tab and head back toward hollerbach as we should be getting called at any minute... only a few doors down (at deviant wolf) we sat and didn't realize the time and the it was now 9:15pm - NO CALL / NO TEXT... so we just figured it was REALLY BUSY and decided to go check on our table. When we got to the hostest stand we were again greeted with attitude but this time also got LIED TO! ... When I asked how much longer for our table, the girl said, "Oh, we cleared our wait list at around 8pm" to which I replied I never got a call NOR text message. At this point she became very defensive and said "Do you want me to go get the tablet" and I of course said, YES, because there must be a mistake... she then proceeded to say that I was both sent a text and called (when I didn't respond) shortly after 8pm. THIS IS A LIE... even if (as she tried to claim) my signal was bad, I use google voice and this would have been tracked and later transmitted to my phone/app. Even after returning home, I looked from the computer and there were NO MISSED TEXT MESSAGES nor CALLS from ANY number yet I have multiple other text message conversations during that time... furthermore, NO VOICEMAIL... They simply cleared this list and never called. But it doesn't end here... we were then asked if we still wanted a table as they were about to start closing and everyone was hungry so we really didn't have much choice and decided to sit.... I'm going to leave out the poor food experience as it was the end of the night and it really is a moot issue at this point as I won't be returning after how we were treated. I didn't want to air this out via Google but upon trying to call the store their automated system doesn't let you talk to a person and the voice mailbox is full so I couldn't even leave a message. I guess when you get this big and popular, you just treat people HOWEVER.. well, Sanford is growing and people now have way more choices then years ago. I can only hope that others put their foot down when treated like this and cast your economic vote for places that actually care how you're treated.

Beer and food is amazing. Been numerous times over several years and always a great time

The chicken in my pasts salad was very bland. The wiener schitzle that the my husband ordered had no flavor. We were disappointed to say the least. The waitresses had their hair loose. One waiter had a loose long beard. Waited a long ?time for our meal and didn't get served any bread.

Cannot have a birthday without the Willow Tree Cafe. Staff are wonderful, food is great, and of course the beer is fantastic.

Service can be a little slow but the food and atmosphere is excellent. They frequently have live German music, if you bring a party you can enjoy a das Boot, and they have Dunkel beer and a few other German brews.

Best German restaurant in a 50 mile radius hands down. Speaking as someone who's visited Germany before, this is the closest thing you will get to authentic German food. Also check out their German store around the corner! Staff is amazing and I've never been disappointed.

Unbelievably awesome and spectacular experience to live, love and laugh all together.

This is a very fun place to be. Had five people at the table that had birthdays in February and the band said happy birthday to each and everyone of us by name. Band is very talented and authentic Greek and one gentleman knew how to play bells the saw and some kind of a xylophone. The band was a little loud but it encouraged audience participation. Would certainly eat there again. Worth the drive to Sanford Florida.

Delicious, laid-back, fun and did I mention delicious?! I cannot wait for another visit. We had the pork Jager schnitzle, red cabbage, and potato pancakes and it was all absolutely to die for. The staff is fun and friendly.

food was awesome! a little expensive, went to see krampus and was not what i expected really disappointing he stayed upstairs and never came anywhere near we were seated. ill definitely come back for food but not events!

If you are in the mood for some German cuisine head to Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in downtown Sanford. It would be hard to duplicate the German atmosphere they have created. The food is great and the service is absolutely fantastic. The Veal Schnitzel with Champagne mushroom sauce and the Chicken Schnitzel with Rahm sauce were delicious. Purple cabbage was the best I have had in a long time. The ginger peach tea was superb. Thursdays is live music night which added to the charm.

Real German food with great beers. Fun for a large group.

If you don't want to fly several hours to Germany to experience great German food, here's a great alternative. Sumptuous food, great oompah music and incredible German beers.

I am from the northeast . On my 4th visit here for lunch I was very disappointed. I ordered a rueben sandwich and there was very little meat. I have been a Floridian for almost 4 years and realize things are so different down south than up north but I will not be ordering a rueben here ever again. The lack of meat made the sandwich dull overpowered by the thousand island dressing and sauerkraut. Like the infamous commercial I ask Where's the beef ?

Not only the best German food in Florida, but by far one of the best places to enjoy time with friends and family. The ambiance is unmatched. And don't miss the German deli around the corner!

Just finished lunch at Hollerbachs. I had the 2 brat platter with saurkraut and spetzle with gravy... it was fantastic.... I've been to Germany many times over the years and their food is very authentic... Oh yeah,, the beer was good too... I highly recommend Hollerbach's... next time we are going up to the rooftop beergarten... great place!

Never disappointed! Always have to check out the deli after a meal and take home some fresh meats and cheeses, and maybe even drink a good german beer while shopping! I take all my friends here when they visit. All LOVE it!!

The food was very good. Very German with flavors. The place was super busy and there was a wait so we ate at the bar. It took a while for the food to come but it was delicious.

This place is the best for German cuisine. The atmosphere will make you feel like your in Germany. If you have not been here yet your missing out.

Amazing place to enjoy authentic German cuisine. Also a great selection of imported German beer that you can order in three personal sizes or in a boot for your party to share. If you've never been here you need to change that.

Real good German food and the restaurant looks great after the renovation!
