the hotel offers a complementary wifi in rooms, it sucks,, Very sloooow,, other than this,, it's a good hotel,, close to the train station and bus stops,, but I was frustrated with the worthless wifi,,
The room has a nice view of downtown Chicago and has easy access to the Merchandise Mart. Beds are better than most Holiday Inns that I've been to. No microwave can make having leftovers pointless.
Very nice business-class hotel. A bit difficult to locate; you have to go up some hidden elevators and it isn't terrible well marked. Room was nice, with a truly exceptional view. Nice bar, again with a great view. Average restaurant. Pool is well above average. Great location. Staff has been excellent. Will stay here again.
Four stars because housekeeping is not that great. I had to complain for everything.
Nice hotel. Very neat layout. A little pricey for my taste... But work was paying.
The rooms are fine but cramped. The restaurant was overpriced. IMO it's a good place to drop your gear if you are planning on doing stuff and not having out in your room. What hotel room doesn't have a microwave? Oh the wifi was not good as well.
Hard to believe this is a Holiday Inn. Modern looking, elegant, great views, large rooms
The room was awesome with a great view. The staff was very nice.
Clean, modern look friendly staff. Overall a very good experience.
Rooms are nice and clean. Very quiet which is nice. The views are also nice and you can easily get just about anywhere
The bed was comfy as all hell. I slept in it for about half an hour. That's it though.
The room was excellent the wedding was great and the hell tell people was excellent
Clean, friendly, great location for exploring the city. Staff was very helpful, even entertaining!
This is one of the fine hotels in whole of Illinois and obviously United states. I visited this hotel during christmas time. They have premium styling and everything is at par with other hotels be it a room, a bar or food. I stayed on 18th floor, view from that room was simply amazing. Cleanliness was upto mark, no carpet was a good thing. No odor or perfume smell was a bonus. I will highly recommend this hotel. go for it. everything be it a metro station or wills tower is near to it. everything at walkable distance.
The hotel has a great location in downtown Chicago, has many restaurants and bars close by. All possible to walk. The rooms are large and tidy.
Excellent spacious clean room with great views. Comfy beds. Very updated. Great spot!
When my friends came from Serbia, they stayed this hotel. It was a Priceline reservation so that the pricing was good. But the toiletand shower did not work.
Excellent stuff. Clean room as always. Disappointed with WiFi, thin wall and no breakfast.
This Holiday Inn is beautiful. Well organized. Comfortable bed and seat. Beautiful view in which ever room you decide to stay in.
Nice stay, and has a bar facing the river, which is a great place to have dinner or some drinks while enjoying the view
I thought the room itself was just "okay". I give it 3.5 stars. It's only expensive because of the location and parking is $41.00/night
Great location near plenty of nightlife and good eats. Rooms are small but clean and modern. Friendly customer service. Highly recommended!
Visited Cityscape Bar inside the hotel. Easily accessible from Brown line and bus routes. Reasonably priced cocktails and food. Gorgeous views of Willis Tower and Chicago River.
The hotel is in a great location and has a lot to offer with a bar, restaurant and small convenience store. Rooms are nice. Usually my room has a great view of the City, though this time it faced inward and the only view was windows of other rooms, which affected my experience.
Came here for an event. Nice views and good location by Merchandise Mart in River North
Good staff. I was just just in the meeting rooms. Internet was slow. Reception for phones total crap
Beautiful clean well priced rooms with wonderful views!!!! Will be back!!! Thank you to the excellent housekeepers on the 23rd floor!!!
Rooms were nice and clean, but temperature control didn't work. No matter how much I turned the heat up or the ac down, the room felt the same. The WiFi is mediocre, I couldn't get a strong signal in my room and my computer kept dropping connection. They don't have Ethernet ports in the room anymore, so I had to instead use a wireless bridge they provided.
There's a cafe with a buffet for breakfast, but almost everything in the buffet was lukewarm at best. Cinnamon rolls were the only hot item and were tasty. Didn't eat at the cafe after that.
Great location for a corporate event. The Wolf Point Ballroom is amazing. Staff was very friendly and IT / AV worked with us to ensure all our requirements were met, if not exceeded. Food and bar selection options after the event were very good in variety and quality.
Best location for a hotel I've ever seen. Right on the river, right next to downtown.
Concierge was able to accommodate my request to check in 5 hours early. Excellent service.
This hotel is the bomb!!! I come here ever year around the holidays.(Thanksgiving and Christmas to visit family). This year a close friend had a serious seizure at breakfast. The staff from the cooks, front desk clerks, to the bellhops were extremely helpful.
The hotel itself is a 6 . Food is very good, housekeeping is excellent. Underground parking is great. My rooms are always over looking the Chicago river near Wacker Dr.. Oh what a view.
I strongly strongly recommend this location. Near Mart Plaza. You can use the overpass, no traffic. Uber,Lift, and taxi always at the front entrance. Shopping, eateries, dining, live entertainment very close,(walking distance).
Clean, comfortable, modern hotel. Always reasonably priced, and the service is great. Solid location in the city as well. Highly recommended!
Views are great, getting to hotel or even up to your room is a maze
Great location, large room, very helpful staff. Would recommend.
A bit old but in general nothing to complain. The burger in the restaurant is excellent!
Was very nice hotel room was clean and fair price. Good views
My wife and I went there for a getaway vacation. Absolutely loved the place, the people and most importantly the location.
One star less for no breakfast offered with the room, and other for the pricey parking. But overall beautiful experience.
I'm a limo driver. My clients requested that I drive them to the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza Hotel. And return and pick them up. The board members had a meeting there. It's a beautiful hotel.
Room was decently clean, great view. Location is easy to walk to. Bar is a little pricey but very busy and full of energy.
Great place to stay with a wonderful and friendly staff!
Stay every year for St Pats weekend
Was not the best experience for the price. Our room was dirty. And the house keeping manager help with the issue not the manger of the hotel on duty..
The astethic of the hotel is nice, the foyer, coffee mart. But the room and shower is dated.
The service has been very good. And the rooms clean and comfortable. Great stay at the Holiday inn.
Everything else great, but, the internet here.. MY GOD I'm used to running on high-speed cable but this.. It's so slow.. I went down to the lobby to see if It made a difference.. Nope, They need something better than Dial Up,
everything else is great..
Nice conference setup. Am disappointed that getting through the doors and trying to get to merchandise Mart hall was so difficult for mobility impaired person to get to. Escalators were super fast and stumbled coming and going. Bathrooms were handicapped accessible. Efficient staff and good technical help for conference.
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean accommodations.
Room was infested with ants. We woke up with ants in our beds and ants on the floor. Could not believe it! We had to shake out our belongings that wr had left on the floor. Other than that things were decent. Hotel is expensive for what you get in your room, but this is Chicago I suppose. Meh....
Looking for a wedding reception venue. Andy is super nice and seems very, very capable. Top dog status. Looking forward to possibly working with him. Great views. Cool venue.
actually it was not that bad besides of negative experience with vehicle parking and passengers unloading - I would prefer to do it in a less stressful way
Conveniently located for business at the Mart with even a pedway to the Mart during the harsh Chicago winters
FANTASTIC views, spacious rooms, comfortable furnishings.
Rooms were average size, as was the bathroom. The showerhead seemed somewhat outdated but it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise good water pressure. Some vending machines didn't work properly. Staff was helpful.
Lacking Customer Care. We spent 30 minutes and were transferred to 5 different individuals in order to find the hotel entrance. The physical address is not the address of the entrance and we circled the same 5 blocks as we got the run around from "customer service". This is unacceptable.
The hotel was exquisite and the food was excellent the cleaning was wonderful it was a splendid time at this place and politeness might be their middle name! I might reserve again next time I need a hotel.
Unbelievable views on the top floor. Very friendly staff. The renovated Cityscape Bar on the same level had great food and drinks too!
Although a little far from restaurants and bars it is the Best hotel to stay during winter time if you have to work at the Mart ... It has an indoor passage that will protect you from snow and wind ...
Rooms are large and confortable .. bathrooms could be remodel
The room was clean and modern. The staff was super friendly and the hotel is well located! Highly recommended.
Very nice stay. Rooms were modern, clean, and well maintained.
Good location and good views of the city. Hotel rooms were clean and adequate for four people.
