Drove into the premises for less than 15 mins during early covid lockdown to enquire at the hotel, but have been heavily fined by their carpark management company who are now harassing for payment. I was unaware of any restrictions as the signs are totally inadequate.

It's small but that is Holiday Inn in most places. However. The front reception staff were very nice, accommodated and their breakfast was above average as well. Convenient location with Tesco not too far away.

My growing appreciation of Holiday Inns was somewhat shot down in flames in this Hotel. We arrived on a Sunday evening to be confronted with a large and noisy wedding reception spilling out into all of the public areas until very late.
Our "Executive" room was not really anything of the sort, with questionable housekeeping in the bathroom, & poor lighting in the bedroom. Worn corridor carpeting. Bed was comfortable, and breakfast was above average.

Staff very friendly good service. The room, our heating was not working so we was supplied with an electric heater which did the job. The walls of the room are very thin so we could hear the people next door going to the toilet watching TV and having sex which made it difficult to sleep as they had the TV on most of the night. The area itself is nice, a tipical city with easy access to most places. There are taxi numbers and prices at the front desk.

Only reviewing the lounge bar which was woefully understaffed. Took us about 25 minutes to order drinks then almost the same again before they arrived. It's a nice lounge and the drinks were fine when we got them.

Was going through the booking arrangements for my wedding which will be held at the hotel. Received a very comprehensive and courteous service when discussing the details, and all at a realistic price.

The Hotel is for Key Workers and and not very far from the Hospital. Which is about 10 to 15 walk away.
All set up for Covid-19 Social Distancing. Laid out and set up very nicely and plenty of signs and guest info. Now 24 hour room service because of Covid.
Selection could be better.
Tesco's not far away and always dliveroo, till more places open up from week commencing 05th of July.

It's changed a lot since I first visited..for the better! As when I first went there it was to do a topographical survey of the land where the building now stands..Many years ago...seriously though a first class place to stay and a great Spirit health club.

Positive : Very polite staff. Efficient service. Lobby area and bar very nice. Executive Room was very clean and in good condition. Negative : The room itself and corridors once you go through to the room were nothing special. Room quite expensive. More than The Brooklands Hotel at Weybridge on the same night, which I was surprised about.

Worst hotel I have stayed at for years. The room was still 90s style, previous occupant had stolen the kettle. Bedroom was clean but so dated. Breakfast did not start until 0730 - no good for someone who had to be on the road by 0600. So dated- could not believe it.

A large hotel and restaurant in close proximity to Guildford University, the Hospital, and just an underpass away from the Cathedral. Access from the A3. Plenty of parking, but I had problems in trying to understand the parking meter instructions. Fees are refunded from purchases made in the hotel.
There is a large lounge area, suitable for small/private meetings for coffee and chats.
They also hold various public seminars there for financial organisations.
Obviously, accommodation is also available for guests.

I attended the Holiday Inn for one of their shared party nights for the 3rd time and as usual it was brilliant fun. They sort table plans, table decorations, DJ, disco and food. The food is good for a large scale event and on the evening is coordinated brilliantly. I dealt with a lady called Sophie Taylor who was always helpful when trying to organise 80 people, (and we were only 1 of the parties that evening) she was extremely patient and accommodating. I also stayed over and felt the room was basic but clean with a comfy bed and they catered for 3 of us staying in one room. I will be looking to organise our next year's Christmas party there again.

Charging a high class price for an average hotel. The rooms need refurbishment and the staff need to pay more attention! Asking for salad without dressing can't be unusual but a salad smothered in dressing was delivered, the bath wasn't working, the hand basin taps were so loose they could have come off at any moment, the heating system in my room was faulty but a heater took over 2hours (plus a prompt) to arrive......these are all little problems but enough of them add up to make a less than acceptable stay.

We stayed for one night in an which was the first time we had stayed here since our wedding reception nearly 30 years ago. Some of the hotel seemed tired looking (most definitely the bathroom) but the staff were very friendly & helpful. Slightly baffled by the 'refreshments & snacks' that are supposed to be provided in the executive rooms - as you can see by the photo, we were left a bottle of still water, a bottle of fizzy water & a solitary club biscuit to share!! Sadly we'll probably not return.

I am not happy with the Holiday Inn in Guildford at all. We use their facilities for monthly meetings and the parking used to be free. Now they have installed parking fees for visitors of their site. To enforce this they have contracted in a very unpleasant parking company called Parking Eye which uses camera's to check your entry and leaving time. When coming in you now need to register and if you forget the parking charges are distortionate. Any change of appeal is impossible even if you have witnesses that you attended meetings and were there legitimately. The Hotel refuses to support you in your appeal claiming that it is out of their hands and that they can't do anything.
Really great customer service. I will never, ever go to a holiday inn anymore.

Used this hotel when visiting Surrey university. The hotel was very economical when it come to heating the rooms. You have to request a standalone electric heater from the reception desk. Never experienced this before with holiday Inn. Maybe this is not usual for Holiday inn.....response Holiday Inn?
