modeling here destroyed my self confidence as a young teenager and I developed multiple eating disorders, leaving me with irreversible damage to my body. While you can argue that any modeling company can influence that, Hoffman made it clear they were looking for a certain type of person and poorly demonstrated how to reach it instead of encouraging students to find their unique look. Hoffman also promotes products from Arbonne, a known pyramid scheme, demonstrating further how money is their only priority. The modeling industry itself is very negative towards average bodies and I was even on the skinny side while enrolled at Hoffman s, yet I still was never enough. I never leave negative reviews as I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, but please, save your child or yourself from feeling the way I (and many others) have.

As a recent Preparatory and Professional student, I was impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of every staff member. You ve all been encouraging and helpful. Everyone presented valuable information and taught skills learned from personal experiences. There is a palpable commitment to teaching with excellence. By sharing your expertise you have given me a strong foundation to build toward my own success.

This review will save you a lot of money. Please read all the way through! I would not recommend Hoffman to anyone who isn't already wealthy. If you have the money, you are "the next big thing". If not... oh well! They blindside you with new expenses constantly. First, I visited simply to ask about their talent search, which is advertised as something "anyone can participate in". Then, surprise! You actually have to be represented by them to participate. And to gain representation, you have to take their classes AND pay for pictures; and neither are cheap! I only went to the classes because you can't get a refund. Plus they give you lists of things you "need" for each class. So you go out and buy these required items... and then NEVER use them in class. What a waste! The staff is nice enough, however they sometimes come off as fake. Add to that them constantly pushing Arbonne products, and you feel like you're in a car dealership! I also had staff members make comments about my looks in front of other people. Not only was this embarrassing, but it was also just plain insulting. I always walked out of those classes feeling worse about myself. I will not say I learned nothing from their classes, but the amount of classes that actually taught you useful info is lower than the amount of "filler classes". I made three friends from these classes (who are great people), and they also feel like Hoffman screwed them out of their money! Aspiring models, do yourselves a favor. Pay a reputable photographer to take nice pictures of you, then submit those photos to actual modeling agencies. That will do you way more good than anyone here can.

Hoffman has made me feel very special and not only built my confidence, but also molded me into a better version of myself, a more professional and presentable version. The courses were one of the many things that helped mold me. Especially with the teachers, who are very supportive and give tons of tips! I m very happy and grateful I found Hoffman, they made and still do a huge impact in my life.

I have had an amazingly positive experience with Hoffman International. They work with me to create and improve my professional modeling and acting abilities. The staff is always first class and responsive. They fully support their talent in achieving goals, whether that is to do commercial acting and modeling in Kansas City and the midwest, or developing talent and connecting them to agencies in larger markets. The Hoffman team wants to be the best and they know that means helping their talent succeed.
I have high confidence in their abilities and am secure in putting my trust in them. Through Kim Hoffman and her staff, I have had amazing experiences I never would have considered possible for myself before learning under their direction.

I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who isn't "average" model type. Kim doesn't seem to have time for the short students with bigger chest and short legs and a and few extra pounds. She made my child feel like she doesn't have what it takes. The guest speaker she has present in one of the classes was not professional and also seemed to enjoy pointing out non average models flaws. However, all her other staff I cannot compliment enough on their beauty inside and out and how they made my daughter feel so good about herself and her flaws. They did a great job with all the students.

This was a great experience to say the lease. Hoffman really takes the time to groom you in a way another company will not. They really want you to success and I love the family atmosphere.

Sadly I fell into the trap of Hoffman International and how great they are at selling themselves, I would never disrespect anyone in the program, I did it and I met some amazing girls but unless you re willing to drop thousands of dollars and be no closer to a modeling career then I would advise you to look somewhere else. My family and I took out so much money to invest in me and this program and I am nowhere closer than I was when I started with them. Please don t make this huge investment they re very good at talking you into their amazing opportunities that sadly every time it feels like you re getting closer they will ask you for more money.

Hoffman International Model & Talent Agency is a Five Star agency. The staff not only prepares you for the work that you will be doing, they also help in self confidence and being able to handle yourself professionally in all aspects of your life. I have had a wonderful experience working with Hoffman and I would highly recommend this agency to anyone who may be considering getting into the industry.

I contacted Hoffman almost four years ago after a friend recommended that my daughter look into modeling. The results were amazing, but probably not for the reasons that everyone might assume. Has my daughter modeled? Yes, some. Has my daughter been in commercials? Yes, a few. Has my daughter been in videos, movies or other media? Yes, once. Has my daughter been signed by a New York Modeling Agency? Yes. But, those achievements pale in comparison to the agency's role in teaching, leading, and exemplifying to my daughter what confident, strong women can achieve if they are committed and work hard. I spend thousands of dollars for my other kids to play competitive sports and musical instruments. This child did not participate in those types of activities and was incredibly shy and self-conscious when she walked through the doors at Hoffman. They are kind, compassionate, eager, exacting, professional, dedicated women who take ownership of their responsibilities and commitments to their talent. I believe in taking the broader view. My son will not play in the NBA, my other son will never play the piano at Carnegie Hall, and my other daughter will not receive a Division I scholarship to play her sport, but I wouldn't take back one dollar of my investment in their experiences. My daughter may not grace the cover of Vogue, but she might. Regardless, I will not regret paying for her classes and travel expenses associated with her modeling career. It has helped make her the wonderful, smart, savvy and confident young woman that she is today.

Thanks to Hoffman International and staff for making my little girl's dream come true! In this past year, she has had some really AWESOME opportunities to share her talents. We GREATLY appreciate Hoffman and everything they have done for us.

Hoffman International is a good school and agency. I think Kim Hoffman is an excellent business professional. Lindsey is a great addition to their staff as well.

This place is a scam. They wanted me to pay $1200 to take modeling classes . Modeling agencies should NOT make you pay for anything if they are legit/ really want to sign you.

Wish I would have read the reviews first. Don't sign the contract unless you can pay for both classes twice in one day or within a month. Make sure you have THE money and time to invest and health. I'm sure if you had loads a money you would go far in this. But for now us commoners gotta find a way to get noticed by not paying people off. That's the industry for you I guess.

My experience with Hoffman International is unlike any other. In the few short months it was a tremendous experience of being able to learn, grow, and improve myself as a person, model, actor, and overall, a better citizen. It's been a pleasure meeting with the Hoffman staff, where they pride themselves to hold the agency and its talent to a high standard. I've learned a lot more from Hoffman than any other talent workshop/seminar I have attended.

my name is Sydney Liperuote and I am currently in training to become a model at Hoffman International. So far my experience has been nothing but lovely, everyone on staff there is just so kind and helpful all the time. The class I take is very informative and fun, we learn very valuable information and we are taught by lovely people who care about what they are teaching. Personally, i ve learned so much already; I had poor self confidence and a bad self image. These classes have greatly improved my view of myself and built up so much confidence! I can t wait to keep growing and learning at Hoffman.

If you've got the money, they've got the time. We've spent almost $3k on pre and pro syllabi that cover how they want you to behave etc. Extra class on c walk by owner. Professional pictures that they won't use in your portfolio, then want you to spend another $800 for a specific photographer and additional $800 to see potential clients. I understand having to pay for professional photos, but the other info they want you to know shouldn't cost. I'm caulking this one up to a learning experience. Oh! One of the classes is on skin care in which they petal their skin care and makeup line to you. It always seems there is something else you have to pay for. I had red flags going off. BUT...if you've got a lot money to spend on your child or yourself you'll do great there.

YES modeling is expensive BUT you get out of it what you put into it! Hoffman is an honest agency consisting of a staff that works very hard in dealing with honest people who are involved with producing results necessary for success BEYOND modeling!

Hoffman International is more than just an awesome agency and school. It is like a second home. With the warm welcoming hellos everytime you walk through the door! Hoffman has the best staff and they all teach their models everything a model needs to know as well as what they need to know to better themselves as a person. I have seen a drastic change in myself and in the way I present myself but also the way I feel about myself. My experience at Hoffman has been amazing and they are helping me make my dreams come true!

I am a model at Hoffman and I love it! I highly recommend it to everyone! The people there are amazing and, if you invest yourself, will help you to grow to your fullest potential. I have had many amazing opportunities through Hoffman. I have learned far more than I would have imagined including professionalism which has helped in my internships and career networking in college.

This review is only to educate you before you spend ANY money. I advise you to keep in mind that this is not to bring anyone down, but to inform you of what you will encounter.
If you are not in a position to or want to come out of large sums of money I ask you not to go. Yes modeling does cost money however, the amount that my family and I have had to come out of was significant. I have friends and family in the modeling world and they never had to come out of the amount of money that I had to. A couple of people told me about the reputation of Hoffman having people shell out unnecessary amounts of money, not get anywhere in their modeling journey and I didn't want to believe it.
In my journey with Hoffman they also introduced me to Arbonne. I only did arbonne because I thought it would be a good investment but in reality it did more harm than good, its multi level marketing. If you mention the concerns about arbonne that others have expressed those people are called quitters.
I am not a quitter; nor do I give up easily, but there were many times when I wanted to stop Arbonne and the classes with Hoffman because of the amount of money I was spending and not seeing any returns. So please, do your research because we have come out of well over 2,000 dollars and the only way to be signed with Hoffman you have to pay 500 more. So please proceed with caution.

Hoffman Model and Talent is the gold standard for modeling, talent and education to make you the best you can possibly be and excel in the industry. I was introduced to Kim Hoffman and her delightful staff when my oldest daughter, who was 12 years old at the time, had an interest in fashion and wanted to take classes to become a fashion model. We have had experiences in the past with open talent and casting auditions with an organization promising Disney exposure and it left us completely deflated and skeptical on the industry when they requested $5000 with a promise that they would bring us to Orlando for another set of auditions. We didn't believe them. Let me make a promise to you, Hoffman International has each person's best interest and best future at their heart. They will challenge you and make you work very hard to learn more than you think possible to help you become the best person you can possibly be. Our now, 13 year old daughter is the sweetest, kindest and confident 13 year old. I credit Hoffman International for the confidence that she has. She knows with hard work and dedication to her craft she can become and do whatever she wishes to do. I wouldn't trade anything in this world for the training she has received at Hoffman International. We have three daughters and our 13 year old and 12 year old have both been to training at Hoffman International. Our 10 year old will be starting very soon. And who would believe it, but me, a 42 year old dad jumped in and took the classes too. You are never to old to stretch yourself, learn and excel! If you are looking for a model and talent agency to represent you, you simply cannot find a better organization than Hoffman Model and Talent Agency! Best wishes to all.

This place is a scam. I went into it for an interview and they told me i needed to pay hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars for their classes I didn't. I told my friends about it and 2 of them went in for interviews and wer3 told the exact same thing as me. They will take anyone aslong as you pay. Agencies are supposed to pay you not the other way around

I submitted my son's photos to them online and we were asked to come in for an interview. It was a 4+ hour drive, but we are familiar with the industry and know that is just what's expected. We made the commute, were told my son is extremely talented...and then told to pay thousands for acting/modeling/whatever classes through them in order for him to be represented. We declined, obviously. The search continues for a reputable agency.

We feel so blessed that our daughter has signed with Hoffman International. Every training and workshop they have provided has been so beneficial and our daughter has grown and learned so much about herself and about the business of acting and modeling. I went into this thinking it was a legitimate agency looking for models. I could have been told that you need to do their costly classes before you do anything. It appears to be a school first. The information could have been shared before driving and hour.

Taking the Preparation and Professional modeling classes has changed me as a person and how I view myself and others. When I was looking for an agency, I didn't find an agency that I trusted until I found Hoffman International! They teach you everything you need to know to be a professional Model and Actress! Their location is nice, their office is extravagant, and the people there are so sweet and comfortable to talk to! The models that I took classes with were all very nice to learn with and beautiful! You do need to invest in yourself to get to the top of the mountain, but it will be worth your time and money, because people will see more power and confidence in your personality and body language, and will want to book you! The owner, Kim Hoffman is so nice and helped me with the details of my walk, and did I mention they have their own catwalk?! This is my honest opinion about the agency and I am so thankful that they saw potential in me and chose to sign me!

Most of these reviews are either from people who don't know the industry OR are paid employees. This is not a legitimate agency, they make you pay thouands before they will "sign you". Now I'm signed with a real agency, I'm glad I passed on Hoffscare Ripyouoffnational

My 14 year old daughter, Isabelle, recently graduated from the Preparatory and Professional classes at Hoffman International. She really enjoyed the content of classes and getting to know the other students and teachers. She learned not only about the industry and how to walk the runway, but about how to present herself, take care of herself and how to treat others. I preach to my children the golden rule- treat others how you want to be treated. Hoffman International lives by the golden rule. Hoffman International also works with very professional photographers. My daughter's first professional photo shoot was with Eye Management. Fairlight Hubbard was amazing. The photos of my daughter were stunning. We cannot wait to continue our journey into this industry with Hoffman International by our side.

Hoffman has taught me how to take care of myself and has given me confidence that I didn t have before. I love the teachers, they were amazing! Hoffman taught me how to take photos and walk down the runway. For me, the Hoffman classes were a fun learning experience and it was amazing overall.

Hoffman International Model & Talent Agency is absolutely the premiere Agency in the Midwest. Our 2 children have amazing opportunities and bookings, caring & professional staff & excellent classes. We have only had good surprises and gracious interactions. We LOVE Hoffman & all the wonderful people that make things tick there.
