Perfect place to go with family, very quiet, the attention of very kind workers

Great park for young and old. Especially for young families. Service is really great and everything is completely clean. Cottage / house is very modern and is equipped with everything. We would really like to come again.

Everything in Hof van Saksen is made to look very sophisticated, the personnel is friendly and helpful. The cottages are very spacious and are very well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. I would recommend this park to families looking for a luxurious place to stay for their holidays!

Beautiful and cared for holiday park. Cool slides in the pool. In the evening something more can be done. We were with teenagers and after 8 pm everything is closed. This was a pity.

Hof van Saksen is a fantastic park with very friendly staff, nice shops, good restaurants where you can also eat with small and large children. Everything has been thought of, if the weather is nice then there are fun outdoor activities, if the weather is less than there is enough to do inside, not a moment to get bored. Especially the newly opened slides is a challenge for everyone, you will not find this anywhere!
The holiday homes are of a high standard with a wonderful fireplace where you can sit together. Our stay was great and we will definitely be back, very soon even, children are already looking forward to it.

Also on our fourth visit there everything just perfect for parents and children! Clean houses, nice facility, great deals sports and leisure! Look forward to the next time!

Beautiful park, wonderful houses and a beautiful swimming pool.

Nice luxury park with beautiful spacious houses. The central pavilion with reception, restaurants, swimming pool and spa is very beautiful and feels very rich. There is everything for both children and parents. You do not have to leave this park for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful luxury holiday park. Swimming pool is different from other swimming pools at Landal. Nice outdoor wild water course and large indoor play paradise for the kids. There is also a lot on offer for older children. Cottages are luxuriously furnished.

Great holiday resort. More up-market than Centre Parcs. Water slides, pools, beach and activities all excellent.

House (824), 8 person luxury house: Good sized for the 5 adults and 2 kids (6 and 8) in our group. 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms with bath/shower. Decent size kitchen which was well equipped, the only thing missing was a pizza-slicer which is unfortunate since the park has the option to get pizza delivery to your accomodation!

Swimmingpool: Good sized for the amount of people on the park when we went these (on a switch-day), 3 pools indoor, including kiddy and "proper" swimming pool. Wild-water slide was the only one of the 4 slides that our youngest was allowed to go in which clearly was a big disappointment, they could do with at least one more slide that is accessible for under 7 years old.

Restaurants:
Grand Cafe (Dinner): Staff was friendly and helpful, small play area/TV for the kids to entertain themselves while we were waiting for the food (which was not long). Good quality food, decent size portions. Can definitely recommend the smooker menu! There was a slight problem with the dessert order for our youngest one which was very quickly noted and resolved with a smile and a joke make the overall experience a pleasant one.
Gastro bar (Dinner): Staff again very friendly, good quality food. This is a "Drentsche tapas" style arrangement, BUT... the time between ordering and the food actually getting out to the table was waaaaaay to long. Seems the kitchen isn't equipped/adjusted to delivering the requested "tapas" quickly enough for this to actually work. The concept is nice, but needs a little tweaking in execution.

Other activities on-site: We went bowling and the kids went onto the trampolines which was all well organised.

Activities in the area: Camp Westerbork is definitely worth a visit and obviously when in Drenthe, one needs to visit at least one hunebed. Can definitely recommend the hunebedcentrum a 10 or 15 minute drive from the site.

Very clean park with a lot of diversity, extensive dining options, nice swimming pool with very nice slides, children's entertainment in all shapes and not to mention the fantastic accommodations.

Super Landal Green Park. Gorgeous time spent there.

Beautiful resort in Drenthe. Spacious, modern homes with the same interior. Enough privacy even if you stay in a terraced house. Restaurants are good in service and quality of the food. "Home delivery" is also possible here at this park, a solution for parents with young children and / or on the day of arrival. Supermarket is not big but all the first necessities are there. Renting bicycles is a must: beautiful cycling routes in the area! Also for dogs there are enough outlet spots, even dog poop bags on every corner. Almost forget to mention the great swimming pool ... super slides, plenty of baths so you don't have to float too much. Is kept well clean. In short, a beautiful park with something for everyone!

Beautiful park, a little away from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and close to the Dutch Gethron

Hof van Saksen is a relatively new park. It is a mecca for children: great water slides that are very spectacular (but you have to have guts), indoor activities from the craft corner to indoor play paradise. The cottages are very well maintained and there are various food options. All in all a top location and highly recommended. The price is slightly higher than the average center parks, but you also get more for your money.

Incredibly beautiful park with many facilities. Luxury and extensive homes. New water slides at the pool are a good addition. Made use of the beauty salon at the wellness and this was a pleasant experience.

Located in the Netherlands most beautiful area and hidden among the trees. Beautiful atmospheric houses contain everything you need as a family to spend a few nice days together. The park is complete with a nice and attractive restaurant, a swimming pool and spaces for all kinds of activities for young and old. There is ample parking space for both guests and occasional visitors.

Spacious and clean houses, friendly staff, well maintained overall. Great waterslides for ages 5 and up. Too bad the indoor activities were fully booked for the week.

Good place to come with the kids, but I can not recommend it for couples that want peace and quiet. The pool was swamped with little children and there were no real activities for adults or even teens... Restaurants were good though and the staff was friendly, but again, lots of children around , making it less relaxing and peaceful.

Nice but not much to do in the area. For everything you have to pay a lot extra, house together or 2 bedrooms upstairs instead of 3, a bit sad. Swimming pool is nice but less exciting than expected. All in all a great park for kids

Despite the fact that it is a car-free park, many Gexins "forget" to park their car in a designated parking space! A chair to put your clothes on is missing in the bedrooms!

We stayed in a clean, tidy bungalow with basic amenities. Activities were great, especially liked the water facilities with a selection of fast slides. Also the place is dog friendly so our dog could join us on this break.

Beautiful holiday park with Saxon farms, suitable for larger groups / families.

We are excited. Despite rain and wind we had a wonderful time here. The house left nothing to be desired. Standard kitchen inventory is available, but not more. A "starter set" trash bags, dish soap, towels, ect. there are at collection. Bring a bike is highly recommended, closed space is available (at our house). We will gladly come back, then with summery weather to use the outdoor offers more.

Neat houses with good beds. For the slide fanatics there are 3 extreme slides that you go with 1,2 or 4 people. The pool is otherwise quite small and busy. The park looks neat, with thatched roofs on it. There is a swimming pond and there are various play areas. There are also many activities for children. The buffet restaurant was well set up, the food was great and the service too. Only ordering water was very difficult. All in all a successful place for a long weekend away

Beautiful, complete houses. We had expected them to be slightly more child-friendly. Child locks, socket plates, toys and booklets etc. Facilities at the park are good but book in time!

Very nice holiday park. Very neat, very friendly employees and nice concept. Many things are full in terms of activities by COVID. 1 general remark: we have done all the restaurants in the entire Park (Italian, Grand Cafe, Buffet, ...): very nice setting, but the food is really tasteless. Too bad if you put the price next to it. Otherwise very great! If the food needs to be adjusted, certainly a five-star review.

Everything is well arranged. Cottages, swimming pool and other activities are nice and clean. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful.

Nice, neat holiday park. Clean house. Very child-friendly park. There are many activities in which children can participate (free of charge).
The pool is also great fun for all ages. Shallow pool for the little ones, white water course and deep pool for the big kids.
Restaurants where you can eat well. A bit pricey.

Known as a top of the line family holiday park Hof van Saksen absolutely lives up to this promise. The park is clean and very well designed with comfortable and modern bungalows.

It is truly a family park, everything your children like is there: design swimming pool, trampoline hall, climbing and play hall, guided activities, do-it-yourself activities, bike rental and a footgolf tracks crossing the park.

The park is situated in the province of Drenthe. Forest and the Drenthe agriculture landscape mix into nature at its most beautiful.

Aiming for a relaxing brake in one of the best holiday parks in the Netherlands, your trip to Hof van Saksen will pay off for sure.

I used to give 5, but everything seems to be falling back slightly, and overcrowded.

Always great. Wonderfully quiet but there is also a lot to do for the kids, from young to old. We are a real fan!
My only minor flaw are the slides in the pool. As a lung patient, I can usually get off the slide, but you have to climb fifty steps before you get there.
