Very nice neat with eye for details finished houses. No entertainment and a seriously good buffet

Mega beautiful place, is only an hour and a half away from us, which is ideal I could always go there on vacation, everything is nice and you definitely can't get lost

Had a nice weekend, although the weather was not perfect. Fortunately, you also have a lot of activities. Swimming pool was super! The houses with thatched roof (type of farm) also neat and fully equipped.

This remains a wonderful place to spend your holidays, but also to stop by for a cup of coffee or a nice dinner. There are beautiful paintings, so that you feel like you are in an art gallery, but just as important are of course the extensive relaxation options, and the excellent restaurants. Everything is beautifully designed and decorated. Very enjoyable to spend a time!

Super accommodations nice pool lots to do for small children

Very nice park. Beautiful farms and fun activities in the area. There is also plenty to do for children and families at the park itself. Very nice to go here. It is really a park in the more luxurious segment.

Is not worth the money.
Nice facility but in the end everything is extra to pay up to the entrance to the pool.
My daughter could not use any of the slides because she was exactly 1cm too small.
Big disappointment.

Nice park in the middle of Drenthe, lots to do for young and old

Great for families with small children. Many activities and nice amenities. The 12-person house is funny: it is the same house twice. The television is not connected to the internet, so it is not possible to watch netflix, this could be improved. The app is also useful. It would be extra handy if it is possible to register for activities via the app. The foot slides are very nice. All in all a very good impression.

Hof van Saksen is the ultimate family vacation place to be. Everything a kid could want is available, waterpark, indoor and outdoor playgrounds with trampolines and more. Bowling, movies theater, creative animation, and so on. The service level of the park has a very high level. It is a bit expensive but you 'll never regret it.

Well-kept, beautiful restaurants, good beds, fully equipped and beautiful surroundings.

Nice park, nice pool! Beds not okay, mattresses are not good, house is not pure but better than the average sandal house in the country. Restaurants are good and satisfying, sandwiches you have to order otherwise you have nothing!

Very neat houses, super nice and clean pool, friendly service

Houses look neat and spacious. Fully equipped. Also nice swimming pool with white water slide and many unique slides. Water allowed me a few degrees warmer. During our stay it was bad weather. Therefore do not miss a communal area where children and parents can enjoy entertainment as you know it at a Parks center. For once live music, bingo or other kind of entertainment.
Park is dog friendly. Is worth repeating, hope for better weather so that being outside is more fun.

Nice park, everything well maintained and there are many activities that you can do for free if you are in a house. The pool is nice for a few days of pleasure and the hospitality of the employees is high. Really recommended!

The luxurious Hof van Saksen is surrounded by beautiful nature. For example, you will find the Drentsche AA National Park at 3 kilometers. In this vast landscape you can walk for hours through the woods. Also go cycling on the winding roads and along the picturesque villages. For example, visit the village of Rolde, where you can admire 2 hunebeds. Children prefer to go to Kabouterland in Exloo. Here they experience a great day in the fairytale subterranean world with trolls, gnomes and special exotic animals.

Preferences Preference costs are charged for most wishes / preferences. This applies to, among other things: next to each other , central location , a specific design of the bungalow, etc. If your wish / preference is granted, you will find the costs for this on the invoice of Landal GreenParks (from 2018 20.00). van Saksen is car-free, so after checking in and unloading the luggage at your accommodation, we request that you park your car in the central parking spaces P1 or P2. Pets and pets are always on request. You must indicate this when making your reservation, the park will process your request.

The park has more than enough to do. There is a nice swimming pool, mini golf, bike rental and much more.

Very nice holiday park with a nice swimming pool and lots of activities for the kids. A bit more luxurious and therefore also (much) more expensive than normal. The buffet restaurant is for example 32 per person.

Can hardly be better for a holiday park. Very beautiful nature nearby: heathland, peat and forest!

This is similar to center parcs but so much better. The lodges are clean and modern and very spacious. There is so much for the kids to do from cooking to climbing as well as many free things to do. The staff are helpful and polite too
The swimming pool is a must with 3 exceptional slides and a lazy river

Super Resort. There is everything you need for all ages. Everything is very clean and the staff is great. Unfortunately, you can afford this as a normal earner only out of season

Nice park with nicely furnished houses, spacious and clean. Children's activities at the park are great for but a single activity must be paid for. Swimming pool is actually a standard pool but what makes it so special are the new slides but beware in the whitewater course I have a few bruised ribs left over. Furthermore, great staff friendly and helpful

A wonderful place for families with children. There is something for everyone. There are various "academies" for the kids where they can either do handicrafts, paint, etc. There is also a great swimming pool and an indoor playground from 0 years old.
There is a fitness room and wellness offers for parents. Childcare is also offered, but we didn't use it.

All in all very recommendable!!!

Very nice park, especially for children with families. Enjoyed the cleanliness, friendly staff, swimming pool, bowling and indoor playground. Supermarket is good too and pizza and wraps freshly prepared. Houses clean and well equipped. Good beds and shower too! Other parks can learn a lot from the cleanliness and hospitality!

We had one of the older bungalows ourselves, but these were as good as new on the inside (new kitchen and bathroom).
The catering establishments were also neat and good.
Enough for children to do outside of swimming.
Think of the spring park, the many playgrounds (both inside and outside) and the various spaces for tinkering.
In short, a must.

We (2 adults and a dog) spent a week holiday in a 4C house.
The holiday park has inspired us, the structure is clear and the system is lovingly designed. Since the park is mostly car-free (except on the arrival and departure days Monday and Friday), you lay most trails on foot or by bike. But that's not a problem because you have relatively short ways to the central points.

The holiday house:
We had a Reihenmittelhaus, on the ground floor there is a small hallway, a guest toilet and a spacious kitchen / living / dining area with an exit to the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped, but friends of us was missing, for example, a blender to prepare baby porridge. In the living / dining area there are comfortable seating, beautiful decoration and a gas fireplace, which provides warmth and coziness at the touch of a button.
The terrace is waiting with four good garden chairs with table and a parasol. A barbecue is not available, but can be purchased in the Noordermarkt.
Upstairs there is a (windowless) bathroom with bath and shower, as well as two one-bed rooms and one parent bedroom with double bed. There is plenty of space in closets in all rooms, in the parents bedroom, however, there was not much space, here you could easily go to bed, but nothing more.

The department:
The Hov van Saksen offers a wide range and it is almost impossible to name anything here. There is the free Hof van Saksen App, which offers an overview of the numerous offers and in particular about changing events, such as archery, beer tasting, Tai Chi, etc. The courses can not be booked through the app, you have to either to the reception or the edutainment area "de Brink" - but no problem.
Particularly noteworthy is in any case the swimming pool and the good offer of slides, for which you have to be at least 1.20 meters tall. The visit of the bathing area costs for park guests nothing extra, you come into the swimming pool with the key card of the house.

There are also four different restaurants in the central building of the park, which also offer a varied offer for holidays lasting more than a week.
There is also the Noordermarkt, where you can buy practically all things of daily use at fairly reasonable prices.

For electric vehicles, there are two charging stations for every two vehicles: once at parking lot P1 on the north side of the park and once in the parking lot for day visitors near the main building. You can borrow the key at the front desk and charge for free - but must deposit a deposit of 50 .

In the park much emphasis is placed on sustainability, but sometimes not consistent enough: So there are in the cottages z. B. Nespresso machines that are very waste intensive and the roll bags in the noorder market are made of plastic instead of paper. These are just little things, but that does not fit.

The communication in the park works very well in German and English - so you can also travel the park, if you are not so fit with Dutch.

Overall, the park offers a good deal, although it must also be mentioned that there are certainly cheaper holiday parks in the Netherlands. We'll probably come back anyway.

Had a nice time with the family. We had a 12-person farm and stayed with 10 people (5 adults and 5 children). The farm was in perfect shape, elegantly finished and well maintained. Even the beds were super good!
The swimming paradise in Hof van Saksen was also the max! The whitewater course was the children's favorite and they also loved the separate slides with the swimming pools!
The indoor playground was especially pleasant for the youngest (4y), but the others were able to enjoy the trampolines.
It was also quiet in the Park, in short, it was a pleasant holiday!

Super nice pool with very friendly staff! We have participated in toddler swimming which is highly recommended for children between 2-4 years old.

Food at the park was also well arranged, lots of fresh products. And again friendly staff :-)

Great accommodation, good service. Overall a really good experience, really recommend it.

A beautiful park with beautiful houses (both inside and out). The modern swimming pool with the 4 large slides makes it complete. Only down the slide very quickly or with 2 or 4 people in a tire. First a big climb with the band up and on busy days you have to wait a while before you can go up. Afterwards good food in one of the restaurants. We tried them all and they were all great.

Super! Nice house and equipped with everything. Our daughter (3 years) has had a lot of fun in the swimming pool and at the indoor trampolines (where there are separate times for children up to 6 and from 6 and where children first have to get a strap for a certain time. not jumped upside down.)
The craft room and the indoor and outdoor playgrounds were also great. The construction and textile corner were very nice for the older children.
All in all a nice park where everything is clearly just a bit more luxurious than at normal Landal parks.

A beautiful and luxurious park. We had a 6-person house, nice and spacious, not very noisy and fully equipped. Swimming pool is nice for our oldest children, but also a nice children's area for our daughter. Also a spacious indoor playground. Recommended!

We had to save a very long time for it but it was well worth it !!!
