Supportive and professional. Excellent service would highly recommend.

A very good legal practice with kind hearted, positive minded staffs. Extremely hard working. They helped me to finally achieve a positive outcome from a long case, which I feel extremely happy about.

They are so rude and never call back. I ask to speak to a solicitor and get a Terrible time wasting reply asking me to write a considerable amount to a dead end email address. Bad customer service really bad.

As a Litigation Friend for one their clients, I had direct contact with solicitors and barristers on her behalf. HJ&A were useless when I used them for a case some years ago, duping into changing from Legal Aid to No Win No Fee but upon doing so dropped the case when they thought they had the possibility of losing, But in my friends instance, once I'd persuaded them to change barrister from the one they'd selected to one I requested we ended up with the perfect outcome for the client.

Unfortunately when I published the above paragraph 6 months ago I thought the matter had been resolved but it had not been and, as so many other reviewers have said here, Hodges, Jones & Allen just left the client floundering with no support and left to face the Royal Courts of Justice on her own.

Hodge Jones & Allen made the response below as if offering an olive branch. But they had already investigated this matter, ignored all evidence and knew I was pursuing with the following;

I am raising a complaint with the Legal Ombudsman for their failing to correspond in a timely manner, ineffective management of Legal Aid Funds and unprofessional conduct.

Under no circumstance should you consider using this firm. They exploit the poor & the vulnerable & I'm hoping the Law Society & Ombudsman will agree with me and will deal with them accordingly.

I was lucky enough to have Hodge Jones & Allen represent me this year and received the most wonderful support and encouragement from my solicitor Ruth Harris. I would recommend this firm and Ruth to anyone who needs someone in their corner.

Absolutely terrible. I was recommended by a friend, but I had bad experience with them. specially my case worker Retha Khan and Sioned Roberts. both of them are unprofessional and incompetent. they acted as mediators unfit for their job. very poor quality.

There is a woman by the name of Rachel that works for this firm. He has no customer service skills and doesn t allow the customer to talk she talks over them each time and doesn t allow them to explain what is going on with their situation. In the end I asked her what is the name of the company and hang the phone up so I can put my reviews I can t deal with a company that doesn t allow the customer to speak let alone explain the situation this is disgusting very unprofessional. Each time I was explaining my situation she was patronising by calling me my last name and talking over me which I found very rude I have now found another solicitors what deal with housing and I will be spreading this housing along Twitter and Facebook to let customers know what this was all about I sure will not be using this fan ever again and will be sharing this on Facebook and Twitter for people to know. I have recently instructed Hodge Jones Allen in a case where I was wrongly accused of a crime. Before I had even entered Stratford Magistrates Court, my lovely solicitor, Bianca had organized for the case to be thrown out of court.
I also recommend the housing department.
I nearly lost my flat a couple of years back but with the help of my solicitor and barrister, we practically threw the opposition actually out of the court room.
The good Judge, my barrister and I were in stitches!!

We had a housing problem with our previous flat. A huge damp and mould situation where landlord and agency didn't cooperate or allowed us to leave.

In my opinion and from personal experience, they have questionable ethics, and are also very unresponsive and difficult to deal with. In my opinion, they don't put the customer's interests first and even though they have some very experienced solicitors, as a collective team they don't seem to care for customers. I've concluded the above based on my interactions with them over the past few days.

I'm not from the UK nor European so had trouble finding a lawyer for my personal injury. I received my compensation within 8months after my accident. I really want to recommend Hodge Jones and Allen because they helped me. They really did. I appointed Sarah Flanagan in their civil liberties team and received, at times good service, other times bad service. The work was often good but the service was often bad, but communication always poor. When it was bad it was bad! For instance they are never contactable and often always have voicemail on with limited support staff to inform of arrangements when solicitors aren't present. So you phone again the next day. Very old fashioned. They don't use mobile phones which is deeply frustrating too. The worst thing was when they would not allow me to understand their recommendations and communicate properly with me. They would just send complicated emails rather than discuss the ins and outs and they didn't seem to want to spend time doing that. My strong impression is that they had an agenda for dealing as they saw fit, regardless to a large degree of the input of myself. Ms Flanagan put the phone down on me and that was that. So I wouldn't recommend this firm at all. All their good work was undone by poor communication and attitudes and their unreasonable lack of communication over important issues. They are clearly good in getting the bit they want, which is money from legal aid, and maintaining good arguments, but not good at the customer service bit. My impression is that they need to do proper customer service training and I'd strongly advocate that if you are lisenting Mr Allen. Plus get those mobiles sorted out! We live in 2017! The attitudes of many of them are quite arrogant, and expect that of these solicitors even though they present outwardly a 'nicey nicey' image. For instance Mr Richardson advertising on his profile that he was named a 'solicitor from hell' and he took it as a compliment. Hardly something to promote. My recommendation would be to avoid Hodge Jones and Allen. Deal with a solicitor with a better profile and who have a forward thinking a1 attitude to service and support staff to do so!

Nicola Waldman has been handling our probate file. There are no words to describe how polite, efficient, thorough and pro-active she is. She is a top notch lawyer who combines modesty with rigorous knowledge of the law, and makes the complicated feel simple. Rare to find a lawyer of this Calibre.

i would like to give my most gratefull thanks to Mr Roger Sahota for taking on my case. From the very first meeting up to completion Roger was extremely polite,helpfull and friendly and most of all was not judgemental. Having stuggled for almost 4 years without any fruitfull help i was lucky to come across HJA with only days to go before losing everything. Rogers insight into the proper details of my case, his unique ability to see what was really needed and his prompt action has been a life saver. What can I say about this company, my case was the first of its kind in the country. I worked in a youth prison and bbc panaorma done an investigation in the establishment I worked in. I was recommended Hodge Jones & Allen by a family friend who is a well regarded barrister in London. As soon as BBC Panorama aired my establishment Hodge Jones & Allen were straight away involved I was on the phone with the solicor who took me on within in minutes. The level of professionalism was outstanding from everyone from juniors who attended police station with me during questions and advice given was excellent during this. I was taken to crown court 2 years later as I was on bail for this length of time. They hand picked me my barrister as I had two because the case load was so big and they were tremendous. I was supported all the way though this trauma and got my justice and was aquitted of any guilt and found not guilty after verdict. I will highly recommend this solicitors as the best in London and would urge anybody in need of legal help to go here.

Asked for courtesy & respect & they then told me that they wouldn't act for me? Simply because I was unhappy that they wasn't calling back

They think not calling back one week after the other is immediately? Call on Monday & to call back the following week?

Then because you chasing them up then say we cant work together?

Now if I was late with your payment wouldn't you want that immediately or you then wouldn't act on my behalf.

My experience is very poor... I had a claim for disrepair that lasted 15 f..k months.. which is unusual, my solicitor: S Bell. I later complained as I was advised of flaws been occurring. I also did about the end result, which I have been confirmed by solicitors even a barrister as "inadequate-poor" and with the outcome of a "badly drafted" agreement now stated in legal correspondence.
I opposed this "agreement", but for no avail as I had a CFA and they can decide if the final agreement is good and "satisfactory" and if you oppose it, YOU MAY BE FORCED TO PAY legal fees FOR the 15 months of "representation" even TO THE OTHER PARTY, as they stated if I opposed and refused it.
I've had to re-open the case, to set the "agreement" aside, with another firm. This 20 months after their representation started. No responsibility for "fawns" have been accepted after several requests. Very poor representation and bad firm in my view. Before, their "internet ratings on Google were poor.. but we now know that "this can be changed"... I
trust my experience as a test of their interest in their clients cases and to correct any wrongs... I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THEM.

I spoke to one of the partner's Jayesh Kunwardia about assistance in forfeiting a lease on a commercial premises. Before I could start telling him of the problem he said, "I DON'T ACCEPT THESE KINDS OF CALLS". He started saying this as soon as I said my name. I can only assume that this Law firm don't like white people. AWFUL SERVICE

I have been trying to get a hold of them for 2 weeks. I have a text message from them 3 days ago asking for availability which I replied right away. I called on the number of the person that messaged me and it prompts to the voice mail of a different person. Sounds like a very dodgy company, lots of aggressive PR on social media but that is it. I wonder how they treat their clients. I would not recommend this law firm by no means and give them zero stars if I could.

Very unhappy with this firm. I have contacted them 4 times now for no one to get back to me and have left a message and still no one has got back to me very disappointing as they came from an excellent recommendation.

Zena Macbeth, Paul Bradshaw and Rose Kelly are totally correct in their assessment of HJA. I am a client, or was, as I have just ordered HJA to cease all activity with myself.

I made a huge mistake using them and disgusted by their greed, their time-wasting lies, their abusive manner on the phone, feeding me misinformation to the detriment of my case and all-round unprofessionalism.

Ms Suzanne Bird was my primary contact at HJA and I am repulsed by her. She gives solicitors a bad name and her colleagues are no better.

I should have seen the signs; HJA promoting themselves through Stephen Lawrence s Dad as a client is a crude way to drum up business. To use that family in that way is obscene.

There are much better, morally sound law firms that you can go to. You have been warned.

Used these solicitors 25 years ago and they were excellent. Sadly they have declined since then and have become part of the system unwilling to stand up for what is right and where you will only get justice if you have money.

In my professional life I deal with lawyers and never thought I'd require a solicitor in my personal life. The service I received by the solicitor and her team was first class and better than I could have imagined. The firm are a credit to their profession. I'm so impressed by the advice and service I received I would definitely use this firm again should I find myself in a difficult situation. I'd recommend the firm to anyone who is considering the need for legal advice esp re a claim. I rarely write feed back but find this occasion worthy.

My mistake to use hja. No passion or enthusiasm to help you fight for justice they will sit back and go through the motions just to get a pay day. This is another profession that has the privilege to charge very high amounts of money without doing their utmost in return. My first representative was Paris Theodourou I was disappointed with some of his actions and didn't have the confidence in him as much as I wanted to I think he can be good solicitor or is one if only he concentrates more on the client or case rather than his smartphone and other stuff and was a bit distant. We attended Court where in court he will sit back down the corridor looking at his phone staying very distant from me and he is entitled to have a lunch break but he went lunch and told me to wait in court which made me feel a bit nervous while he can go and relax in Highbury Park. I did still wanted to give him a chance but after a fortnight i decided that i didn't want him to represent me because the information he was giving me was not accurate or in depth and I couldn't go away for holidays to relax a bit because he didn't explain to me deadlines for cps which Kerry did and if he had correctly this would have helped..It just didn't work with Paris and I was disappointed with this so I asked to have my solicitor changed it was allocated to Kerry Spence she was a bit more detailed in explanations and the basics of the case which helped. She instructed a barrister called Helen i was surprised how many mistakes my barrister was making and also the cps representative was making it was like they where in competition to see who was more incompetent I don't want to use this word but that's how it felt. I had to interrupt twice while my barrister was standing up and giving details about me that was not accurate, I also wanted to stand up when cos was talking as she was full of mistakes too but couldn't I think because of court rules I was hoping my barrister would. Again i didn't think my barrister was passionate or had huge drive to really get stuck in, she smiled a lot and very laid back when I asked a which makes the atmosphere a bit more relaxed but doesn't help you when you get sentenced harshly. I will not recommended H.J.A especially after seeing the way other representatives in court who where really good in handling the people they represent and really fight in the courtroom. This is my opinion if I went elsewhere it could of probably even be worse, however I do really think that if I had a solicitor that went the extra mile and had a great determination and saw the provocation and the reasons and all the facts it could have made a difference.. I tried to get hold of things that may help my case I did provide a lot of details with honesty of what had happened.. yet when we was in court this was not used and I asked if we can... I was told probably better not the trash the other side which I wasn't I just wanted the truth to be known and as I said before there was a few mistakes that I wanted to correct at court when barrister was speaking and also cps.

Extremely poor experience for legal aid in my case specially. My solicitor never receive any call, never make a call back, and I guess never ever listen to voice mail. Email tend to get a reply after a few days if not a week or two.

I was represented by someone hired externally which they called consultant solicitor who I had never meet in person before the court date.

If you don t want a criminal record please hire legit private lawyer who can reply your email like a friend who replies your message.

For me, I am totally unfamiliar with the legal system here. Don t know the consequence and here you go, as expected, lost the case.

They were rude, totally useless and didn't care, the last thing you need is a non empathetic solicitors who only cares how much money they make from your misery. I'd a problem with my landlord Camden Council who hadn't done any repairs in my flat,as the firm carrying out the repairs Rydons were rubbish.
My lawyer was Mr Siddiq in housing team,and from start to finish he was top class.
In fact he was the best lawyer I've ever dealt with.
He kept me up to date with him sending letters,and letters received from Camden Council.
Camden Councils lawyer was very aggressive,and not very friendly.
Mr Siddiq dealt with her in a professional manner,and he knew every aspect of the law.
I'd been trying to find a lawyer to help me for 6 years,but most are just greedy,and have no heart.
If you have an housing issues regarding disrepairs you would be very lucky to have Mr Siddiq in your corner world class Lawyer.
