There are good hand made wood pieces of animals. Its a nice place to visit while in Oregon

It is a MUST see/do . My 82-year-old friend was as blown away as a child might be. The volunteers are so friendly and helpful. We got free rides for our birthdays. The tour is so interesting.

Very nicely restored Carousel, volunteer staff were helpful and enthusiastic.

Great place to take the kids or grandkids. Mine had a blast riding the merry go round. Will definitely go back there.

I have been taking our residents from Junction City to the Albany Carousel for the last 5 years. We've seen the different locations and watched the growth and conception of this marvelous project. It is an absolutely amazing project that involves the community as well. Hats off to everyone for this incredibly special place of beauty and inspiration!

Gorgeous place. It can get crowded though. But beautiful and a lot of fun.

Great experience! We'll staffed with knowledgeable volunteers. $5 lunch options, hard ice-cream, and free tours of the workshop (talking with the painters and carvers) make it an exceptional time for everyone

Great place, all the carousel animals are hand carved, and painted. There is a walking tour on the property, small gift shop and small food shop. Very impressive

A blast to the past if you ever rode a carousel when you were a kid. Well worth the time.

Ride the carousel and be a kid again. The small museum an fabrication area tour are interesting too.

Cool hand made creations good place to feel like a kid again

We've got two little kids (2+4), and they loved the carousel here. The staff was very friendly, and I thought the price was very reasonable at $2 per ride. They only charged for our kids, and we didn't have to pay to accompany them on the carousel. Not a bad activity for $4.

What a phenomenally delightful group of volunteers!! It's clear that they love what they do. They make you feel warm and welcomed, they're very engaging with the kids and adults alike! When we came looking at houses in the area, this is the fist place we went after looking at a house. These are the people who made me want to live here. As for the carousel itself, truly beautiful carvings. This place is perfect. We come as often as possible.

Oh my word. A piece of heaven to experience! And a blast from the past from my childhood there in beautiful historic Albany! I loved every minute of this perfect blend of yesterday and shiney brand new!

This is a new attraction in Albany. It's a work in progress and worth the visit. You can even eaych craftsman making future rides for the carousel.

Worth your visit. Hand carved horses and other carvings. Go to the area where they carve the horses very good lesson in what it takes to carve the animals for the carousel.

The carousel is amazing. 2$ for a ride. The change out the animals. It is so well done. Kids can get a passport and a stamp on each animal. There is a concession stand as well.

Took our 2 1/2 yr old grandson. At first he was a bit nervous about riding, but once he rode it it was tough to get him off.

They have done a beautiful job. They do special events for the holidays that are magnificent.

My Grand Daughter loves this place. Very friendly staff and very clean. I had visited during the building of the animals and was looking forward to the completion of the actual Carousel. This is a must see and bring family members to ride the beautiful Carousel.

Tremendously charming building and carousel. amazing craftsmanship and great family atmosphere. The staff allowed us to go to the basement and observe some of the Carpenters working on new animals. Great experience.

This is a great place for a family outing. The carousel is slowly being refurbished with hand carved animals painstakingly carved from bass wood. There is a room downstairs where one can see the carvings in progress.

Little slower than Salem but a very cozy friendly atmosphere. Beautifully carved carousel animals. Children loved it!

This historic carousel has an amazing history and is a phenomenal place for my hometown community. It's been so great to see the carving process come to fruition. A great stop for about an hour.

My girls love to go. My youngest loves to ride different animals each time. Plus many stationary for my eldest daughter is has autism.

I really like that this carousel has different animals other than horses. Can't wait for the orca in the carving room to be completed.

What an amazing place. The carousel is beautiful as well as the building, but what is more amazing is it was all done through volunteers and donations. An inspiring place to see a vision come to fruition and visions coming to fruition in the carving of the carousel animals. My friend I brought loved it. We took a tour downstairs and saw where the animals are created. It is a true showpiece of community spirit and Oregonian resolve and pioneer tenacity.

Nostalgic and heartwarming. The artistry in the handcarved whimsical animals is superb. This carousel is housed in a beautiful building complete with a snack bar, gift shop and workshop displaying work in progress. Every detail is wonderful starting with the handles on the front door. This is a wonderful place for people 1 through 100 years old. Seeing the reminiscent smiles on some elderly people's faces brought tears to my eyes. This labor of love is truly a magical place.

So outstanding that I could hardly wait to move back home and be a tour guide!! I am also a carousel operator - wheeeee - what fun!!!! So much fun that I volunteer in the gift shop and for special events too. We can always use more volunteers -- come on down!! Five stars?? Heck, I'd give it 9, 10, 11, 12, even more!! It is grand to feel like a kid again and help put smiles on the faces of so many. Our own little Disneyland, right here in Albany!!

People are ready to help and show you yhe history of the place right when you come in. Good priced concessions and museum portion too with a gift shop! A wonderful place to sit and enjoy or get a ticket to the carousel.

Loved seeing all the hand carved pieces! They're not "Vintage" like I thought but it was still really cool to see the artistry stay alive! I LOVE Carousels.
