Such a wonderful place to take young kids. A wonderful time and the carousel is crafted in such a beautiful manner. My kids loved it! Concessions are reasonably priced and there are a lot of interesting things to do and see. This is a must if you are visiting the area!

Amazing work on the carousel and the volunteers were very informed.
We went for the first time today with our 14 year old granddaughter. She remembers seeing a lot of the animals being made when she was 6 or 7 years old. We got a tour of the basement. We had the best time!! Thank you everyone for making the day wither our granddaughter so great
We had a birthday party for my granddaughter there. The staff was so wonderful! They were all friendly and helped to make our experience very enjoyable.

Quick stop here to see the carousel. Very detailed craftsmanship on the hand carved animals. Didn't have any time to ride the carousel but there was lots of interesting information. Watching the painting and carving was very interesting. This would be a great place for younger children.

Very cool to see the new animals in the process of being carved. The "museum" just consists of a few older carousel pieces on display. So don't expect more than that!

Definitely worth the visit. The price to ride is cheap at $2 per ride. You can get a tour of the whole place and see how the animals are made and painted. Make this a must stop if your in Albany.
Very interesting place and good place for birthday partys
This place is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly. There is a neat museum section and you can see them carving and painting new stunning animals for the carousel in another section. We had a great time.
We took my grandmother there for her 103rd birthday day and she had the BEST TIME!!! And yes @ 103 she got on a horse!! They are so magnificent to look at, it's hard to believe that these are made & run by volunteers!!! Can't wait to take her for her 104th!

I absolutely love our carousel! There is just something about the joy a carousel brings to people! The hard work and devotion that was put in by each artist is amazing. Even the building that holds the carousel is beautiful! Watching the smiles it brings to each person wether they are watching or riding definitely warms the heart! It is a magical experience each time we go and never gets old. They have a big party room that can be rented out and different party packages to choose from. If you're looking to celebrate a birthday and want something different than the standard pizza party I seriously recommend the carousel, you won't be disappointed! This is a great place to take the family too that won't break the wallet!
Friendly volunteers, we even got a free ride because they didn't turn on music our first go around. A fun activity for a rainy day.
