I would suggest that the pools be covered with a floor since its bottom is asphalt and causes blisters on the feet. The service is excellent by its staff and its clean and constantly maintained areas.

It should be much better, but sadly it is not. They have ocean view rooms where you would only see another building. My mattress was broken! Fabulous food and beverage staff, the reception rather sangron. I do not think I will return. Food and drinks pretty good. Missing amenities, incomparable with the quality of a dreams

Overall I am not impressed with this location, we are here now. The whole resort feels old, and I wouldn't recommend it. We had dinner reservations tonight and an hour before dinner the hotel canceled them and doesn't have openings anywhere else for us.
Edit: we found dinner. The buffet is TERRIBLE and I can't believe I paid for this. Very disappointed and tomorrow we are making plans to not be here.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed there in mid May of 2016. We had the best time. The property was gorgeous, our room was beautiful and the staff and service were both impeccable. The food was great; the Brazilian restaurant was our personal favorite. I cannot recommend this enough and would stay there again in a heartbeat. We were treated like royalty and I would like to commend the following people for the exemplary service they provided:

The spa was world class as well and we cannot wait to go back!

The resort is getting a little dated.

Service was good! We were there during covid and it was very quiet.

They use plastic cups in many of the bars which is disappointing. I understand that pools need them but not a roof top bar or the lobby bar.

The food was okay but definitely not 5 star worthy.

Absolutely zero entertainment during the time we were there. Even Christmas was a big let down. No special dinner.

Other resorts in the area did have entertainment and special Christmas dinners.

A nice touch was that the small swim out rooms had the pools heated! Otherwise they would be unusable during the cold winter months.

Loved the hotel & the staff. Everyone was very friendly. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c we had to repeatedly call to request bath towels. It's a beautiful facility. Food was good too.

Staff was very friendly but I hope you don't need anything for the room. I had to beg the front desk to get my room cleaned and had to ask theee separate times for someone to come. Someone finally came at 9P. I was stuck with a ceiling fan that was on high I couldn't change settings. I go to front desk to ask for help and they tell me sorry but people steal the remote controls and that was the end of it -- they did nothing to even rectify the situation. I even had to beg to get towels for room. Tried to get extra coffee and drinks for the room and that was a nightmare as well. Could not believe the poor customer service - and I am a Diamond member yet. Will never stay there again.

EXCELENTE!!! from the architecture / design of the buildings to the pools ... GREAT meals... GREAT service... must try the sushi bar on top of one of the buildings with an extra to add "A POOL" ... AND see the sun go down!!! Spectacular view!!! THIS is life!! Thank you Hilton for making this vacation memorable!! **********

The facilities very nice, their staff very attentive and helpful all at all, the food very rich and varied the menu, me. Love to let you take your drinks in the pool there are hotels where they do not leave you, in the end they pomgo a 10 and I want to return, I recommend it a lot.

Magnificent place to rest in the adult section, the hacienda excellent staff in the pool area especially Mr. Alberto and Mr. Heriberto our appreciation for them, the towels guys also very good service I can not help mentioning The guys at the sushi bar, food and first-class service, except the restaurant fogo lousy captain service improve the service of the waiters at the Hilton hotel's main restaurant. Keep improving, thank you infinite.

Have a very nice and roomy room. The only thing it smells moldy. But I think with that high humidity here no wonder. The staff is really nice and very attentive. Food is delicious. Made service could be a little better. Didn't get wash cloths or lotions. But this for me are minor things and don't make my stay any less enjoyable. I really can recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice, I was in room 340 and it is very spacious. It has a king size bed, 50 inch TV, full bathroom, fridge that is filled daily with water, sodas and beer. Its balcony shows a great view of the pool, restaurant where they serve buffet of 3 meals a day, you look at the beach and the ocean! They also serve you drinks that you like and take you wherever you are.

Excellent food the barman Abraham of the mexican restaurant excellent service very very delicious drinks the kindness as in very few hotels you can find the chef of the mexican restaurant a delicious dinner very recommended for all of a good palate my opinion of the buffet also the food is very rich highly recommended for all who like to come to spend a quiet holiday

This was generally a nice place to stay, but some strange things. One of the elevators wasn t working for the majority of our stay, most of the staff have limited English (but this is mexico so...) the food is generally mediocre to bad. The french restaurant has hilariously tiny portions and my husband ordered seafood Alfredo at the Italian restaurant and was served ham Alfredo randomly instead. I thought it was hilarious and so did he but it would be bad if you didn t eat pork lol. When we go to restaurants off resort we get a taste of what food is supposed to taste like in Mexico

The amount of staff is insufficient to attend to the guests.

I ve been burned by all-inclusive resorts in my early (and broke) traveling years and I tend to avoid them but by luck I took a chance and
we happen to stay here as a last minute getaway. I was pleasantly surprised by the resort and food options. My concierge experience with Lisette was amazing. We corresponded via email prior to our arrival and she made sure I had. My cabana and dinner reservations made prior to our arrival. Miguel at the towel station made sure our cabana was perfect every morning and our favorite staffers included Francisco and Guillermo. Fogo the Brazilian restaurant on-site was really great. Check out the floor tiles! Javier and the staff made sure you enjoyed every cut of meat and they even attended to my 6 year old to make sure she was enjoying herself.

I would highly recommmend this resort for those who have realistic expectations. The grounds are maintained and the staff friendly but please don t expect anyone to kiss your a$$ (if you want that kind of service (which I do occasionally than go pay for it at the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons). Biggest tip: be kind and appreciative of the hardworking people here who make sure you are enjoying your vacation and I bet you ll get good service.

Excellent hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. The pools are spacious and the view of the sea is impressive.
The food is good, the drinks are very good and the staff is very friendly and efficient.

Great hotel. But this was a Christmas Trip and many concerns around the pool. Probably not a issue when the hotel is not at 100% capacity.
It was tough to get pool chairs and as others said you did need to get there for 6:45 am to put a towel down but what kills me if you put your towel down the rule in 60mins! If you leave the chair for more than that towels are to be removed but nobody enforces it and the Hilton should. This was ridiculous last week I saw towels down at 6am and the chairs empty for 3 hours! Those vacationers are to blame how ridiculous! When I put a towel down at 6 am I stay there the entire time, I don t go back to my room and shower and have breakfast, hit the gym, walk the beach and come back in 3 hours! Have some respect for your fellow hotel guests.
Hilton PV you should enforce the 60min rule, this would avoid the issues around shortage of towels, and poolside chairs which seem to dominate the most recent reviews I see here. Why not implement a towel card program, you have your towel removed from a chair and you don t have a towel card moving forward because of it that is the guests issue. Put some responsibility on the guest. I could see many guests with more than their fair share of towels. This is more work for your staff and increased towels shortage and frustration for the guests.

I would have given 5 stars. But when requesting water and non-alcoholic drinks, which is already included in the room service included. It is requested around 18.00 HRS on September 24, 2019 even only one occasion was requested. They break the dream of my pregnant wife, I in the toilet, break the intimacy of a family with my daughters of 6 and 3 years to enter playing abruptly around 23 hours the same day. That is not congruence in a family environment. For two people they leave a bad memory in an excellent service provided by their other workers.

This is a beautiful resort located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Hilton has two sections, a family room and the new Hacienda section for adults only, with very spacious and new rooms. It offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars to have a great time with family and friends.
