Cabinet EXICEL Review

I bought a brand new home from MBK homes here in Rancho Mission Viejo. I bought the acrylic cabinet upgrade at $4,865, it was the nicest and most expensive upgrade. When I moved into my brand new house A YEAR AGO the cabinets were a mess! The edges were all dented, they had glue all over the seams, the acrylic was scratched, the edges were all cut uneven. Large pieces like on the landing upstairs countertop was actually two pieces glued together! It looked horrible and sloppy! Same with the large piece under my waterfall counter top, it was 2 pieces glued together. They told me this was how they had to do it which is such a lie. I was so disappointed since I paid such a huge amount to have this upgrade. I told the builder no way is this acceptable. I even had to say to them the examples in the model home I looked at are no way comparable, I want what I was shown I was going to get. Excel came back and replaced all the cabinets which were much better but again some were not great. When they came back they missed a lot of cabinets. They ve had to come back multiple times. I have them here now to replace a piece they forgot to replace and when I checked the replacement piece it looks horrible. Edges covered in glue, uneven, chipped all along the edges. They have to install and come back again! Meanwhile every time they come to do this it disrupts our lives and schedules. I m a widow with 2 small children, I work from home, but I running around with the kids to and from school, nap schedules ect. IKEA makes a more excellent cabinet and installation! I m really upset that MBK homes offered this cabinet as a premium upgrade and continues to use Excel Cabinets after all of this. I ve asked for my money back so that I could just be done with this and eventually replace the cabinets with IKEA white acrylic ones, but MBK homes won t give me my money back! It s been 1 whole year of dealing with this mess. The lack of communication between builder, Excel Cabinets and their installers is beyond frustrating but also the incompetence is very unprofessional. My advice, if you are buying a new home make sure that if you upgrade your cabinets it is not with this company and find a builder who wants premium products and quality workmanship rather than mass producing sloppy houses. If there was an option of zero stars I would have chosen that rating.

I has some cabinets installed and I've got to tell you, these installers know what they are doing. Finally, my kitchen looks and feels like home!! Thanks everyone!!

What go me is they offer a wide range of door styles, wood species, color selections, hardware, and accessories.
