If you plan to see the Polynesian Dance Show at the Hilton, watch where you are seated. We were seated right in front of the musical drummers, and it was so loud the music actually hurt our ears. This totally soured our experience. In addition, the performers face forward to the main seating area, so if you are seated on the side or behind the dancers, you will miss out. We felt the buffet was only so-so.
FYI, if you are planning to go to Bora Bora, the show at the Intercontinental La Moana is supurb and there is no charge.

The hotel is incredible and worth every moment of your stay!
Positives: one of the only hotels that has a bungalow in Moorea, but if the budget is short, it has conventional rooms with a private pool - we stayed in one of them and it was super worth it. I didn't think it was worth staying in the bungalow at this hotel because the water is not one of the most turquoise.
The breakfast is very good, with a lot of variety.
The hotel offers a SUP board, kayak and diving mask - there are many corals and colorful fish that are worth the dive!
Points for improvement: the staff could be a little more friendly - they are dry and especially those at the reception are not very cordial.
Sao over price restaurants - the individual meal costs at least 70 usd, but the food is not amazing.
Conclusion: the best infrastructure on the island and the hotel makes the experience worthwhile!

If I wasn't in the overwater bungalow would have been disappointed. The hotel is over priced for room amenities and dining options. Nothing beats jumping off your deck into the stunning water. Staff is friendly, but they are very limited on the cuisine. Breakfast is buffet option only. Also a time during the day when you can't order food. I was like wait what....
But the water is beautiful and they have paddle boards and snorkeling equipment that are complimentary.

Very nice hotel on Moorea. Private pool in the room. Great breakfast.
An excellent gourmet restaurant, pity the other restaurants are rather average in terms of quality. Our stay went very well we were delighted!

Good food in the creperie, good staff and incredible marine life just next to you.
PS: Came back tonight for the Wednesday Polynesian Show. Service at the bar was poor: no hello, after 20min we went to the bar to have the drink menu, by that time happy hour was over, after 2min with the card were asked for what we like (not enough time),... sorry but that was not good at all.

Amazing resort! We spent our 30th anniversary here and had a romantic candlelight dinner on the beach. They did all the preparations, the wait staff was perfect and the food was so amazing!! Snorkeling is fantastic, relaxed atmosphere and everyone was genuinely pleasant. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff, very relaxed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it feels just a bit.... Hilton-y, which isn't a bad thing! It was up to Hilton's very high standards...it just felt a little corporate! Would recommend if you just want to relax in the beautiful French Polynesian sun.

Very nice resort! Modern and has a very nice pool and beach.
The reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt nickel and dimed every day. Having to buy bottles of water for $8/each is ridiculous. This is a modern resort catering to mainly Americans from what I could tell... I think at the least it would be a decent amenity to provide filtered water for your guests to drink at meals.

As mentioned repeatedly, this is an absolutely perfect place for a honeymoon. The wife and I stayed in a panoramic bungalow and the views were sublime. Overall, the resort gets top marks. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, the facilities are excellent, and the experience is amazing! Wake up each day, enjoy some breakfast, snorkel, soak up some sun, and just enjoy life. The staff are also very helpful to setup excursions, taxis, or cars(we highly recommend swimming with dolphins down at the Intercontinental)!

This Hilton property is a nice option if you are visiting Moorea. With bungalow options for over the water or garden setting, the resort accommodates all tastes. Despite COVID impacts multiple restaurant options are available including full breakfast buffet and the over the water creperie where you can watch sharks while you dine. Rays and a variety of fish also frequent the area around the overwater rooms providing a good place to snorkel or a chance to glimpse through the glass floor under the coffee table.

1) The price is five stars, but the water bungalows are old and neglected for maintenance. The handrails on the veranda were taken away from the decayed trees, and the towels turned black after wiping the floor water.
2) Unsatisfactory service on the last day. Forgetting supplementary Mineral Water or forgetting the turn down service (if you ask twice on the phone and you finally came, there is no supplement for shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc.)
I made a reservation in August 2020, but I'm thinking about changing to another hotel.

Resort is small, but still amazing! Stayed in an overwater bungalow that had a glass floor. Lots of fish in the coral reef and great view of sunrise nearby. Service was wonderful and having gold status is a must for the free breakfast, free re-stocking of drinks in mini-fridge and 20% off tapas. Definitely should check out the crepes place for food and view of sharks and rays below.

Staff is friendly and welcoming, hotel is beautiful, and location is unparalleled. Get the overwater bungalow. If you've gone all the way to French Polynesia I can guarantee you that no part of you will regret splurging on that.

This resort was amazing and the staff are world class!! With all things there are faults, so let me start with those as I feel most want to know them first. The overwater bungalows have an ant problem. You can t leave an food or snack unwrapped and out. The second thing is we wished the room floors were a little cleaner. That might just be me though and they do provide slippers. Apart from that, it was perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive. I have seen others complain about the service when they check in and with all due respect...they are crazy. A lot of flights arrive in the early hours of the morning and check in is not until 2pm. This resort goes above and beyond but providing a little breakfast for those that have not officially checked in yet. You get scrambled eggs, a selection of 3 pastries, coffee, juice, and water. You, also, have access to all amenities. The pool, the beach, and all the equipment. You can t ask for more. Next, get the breakfast buffet when you book, while the food isn t best thing ever, it is really good. Omelette station, fresh fruits, pastries, sausage, bacon, pancakes, crepes, French toast, and waffles. Another great perk is kids 12 and under eat free for lunch at the pool bar. That was a huge cost savings. The rooms have a mini bar that are re-stocked once daily with 2 beers, 2 waters, and 2 sodas. Lastly, the rooms are amazing. The beds are soft, the sofa sleeper is get for kids, the shower has good water pressure and an abundance of hot water. The room has a safe as well. Again, the staff...amazing. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

Fantastic resort. Really accommodating and friendly staff that really want to help guests. We stayed in both types of rooms, and by far the bungalows are out of this world. Beautiful sunrises can be viewed across the ocean, with lovely bright blue water.

The resort is also very family friendly, our daughter had a great time playing on the beach. She enjoyed the glass floor in the bungalow as she could spot all the colourful fish. Would recommend this resort and Moorea in general.

Huinei (pool and beach supervisor) is the best! He's happy, cheerful and always helpful. He's an honorable man...he was very considerate of my high maintenance senior citizen mother. He's #1. Without him, the Resort's level of service is good, but not great. He makes it great. From the first day when he made sure our group had 4 sets of fins, thru the daily cocktails by the pool. He was always there to serve!

Beautiful place, great staff, free mini bar (limited stock)... But absolutely HORRIBLE Wi-Fi. Beyond slow even on 'high speed'. Once on property you are a ways away from anything. Oh yeah, and Most places on island only take cash. Minus a star for wifi, expected better from a Hilton resort.

Absolutely loved this place. The premium garden bungalow my wife and I stayed at was perfect for us - air conditioned, open layout and personal little wading pool in the backyard. Loved the friendly, professional AND helpful staff - they always said hello with a smile - but as we learned the people on Mo orea are pretty cool. One of our favorite things was the COMPLIMENTARY once daily recharge of the drink fridge - (1) 1.5L water, (2) Cokes, (2) Diet Cokes (a.k.a. Coca-Cola Light) and (2) beers.

The resort itself is nicely situated and beautifully landscaped and the clear, aqua blue water is not a sight you get tired of; we found ourselves on the sand overlooking the overwater bungalows on the daily. Snorkeling around the bungalows provides a neat opportunity to see the various types of fish swimming around.

We got ourselves a vacation package thru AAA so got the daily buffet breakfast included - the spread is impressive. Food options at the resort otherwise include a couple of restaurants, and a bar - all with varying degrees of view of the lagoon and sky when you want to catch a sunset dinner. Each night at Bar Eimeo is Happy Hour from 4-7 with 2 for 1 drinks. If you tire of the food at the resort, a number of surrounding restaurants provide free round trip transportation. You can also get pizza delivered to the hotel from the local establishment (Allo Pizza) - just call out from your hotel room ($3 charge to dial out but you can easily save $30-40 easy on dinner if dining at a hotel restaurant).

Since we were honeymooning, we decided on a couples 50 min massage at the hotel spa and it was a great way to get rejuvenated after all of our adventures on the island and hours under the intense sun. The staff there greet you with a refreshing iced tea and you are able to select from a number of choices of massage oil the therapist will use on you (recommend Papaya or Bamboo; vanilla and gardenia are a little feminine for me.... ;-)).

If I had one knock it would be the TP was one-ply but that s really a 1st world problem. Although it s paradise, it s not home... so everyone has to get over being waited on hand and foot. We came prepared with things so we were probably ahead of the average person. We represented the Lovely Americans and not the ugly ones.

Overall we loved the Hilton on Mo orea and already thinking of future trips to this resort. It s truly paradise.

I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member and decided to splurge some points on a night at the Hilton Moorea to start off my vacation.
My check in and interactions with customer service/concierge were terrible.

Be sure to wear your luxury clothes and snobby attitude when checking in because you ll be ignored otherwise.

They helped some lady who looked straight out of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before me even though I had been waiting and was clearly there before her.

So, I get checked in and they mention they have upgraded me to a bungalow with an outdoor soaking tub. It s pouring rain so we didn t use it and this comes with my Hilton Honors membership to get a free upgrade if there is availability but was nice.

The room itself was pretty nice. It came with a bottle of wine (Barefoot Wine which is cheap in the states but imported is pricier) and some macarons. The only problem was the toilet seat was broken (I sat on it and it came off its hinges and I m barely 120lbs) and a cosmetic mirror was also hanging not hinged to the wall properly. I expect more for a nice place so that wasn t great.

The amenities and hotel itself, as well was the pool staff and bar staff, were nice. It was raining so not many people were out, but the snorkelling was nice and pool was pretty. They mentioned that if I wanted to eat in one of their restaurants, I could call and they d arrange it for.

I called the concierge to get a reservation and the man on the other end of the phone snapped that the restaurant was very busy and I should have made the reservation more in advance but that he will make the reservation for me. I ask if they have gluten free options - You were supposed to tell us 24 hours in advance!

When we get to the crepe place for our reservation they had no reservation for us. The manage to squeeze us in the back and the food is great. But it is clearly written on the menu that all items can be made gluten free. So much for need to tell them 24 hours in advance.
When we checked out, they didn t even ask how our stay was so we didn t bother telling them of our complaints.

I left feeling that if you don t book an over the water bungalow don t expect good service.

I wasn t sure what to expect in Moorea but had read so many good things about this Hilton property. It did not disappoint!! This place was truly something special. We stayed in the overwater bungalows and they were set up so great. The snorkeling right off our room was first class. They had this great creperie over the water and at night we d go watch the sharks and other fish swim by. I hope I get back here someday, it was truly magical. The staff was great, the location was central but felt very private. I just can t say enough good things about it. When we saw the other hotels nearby we were so glad to be at the Hilton.

Let me start this by saying I live in Hawaii and I booked this property from the Hilton honors website and not a travel agent. I'm also a property manager so my eyes are trained to look for issues lol.

The property is 20/30 mins from the ferry dock and there is not a free shuttle. You have to pay for one arranged by the Hilton (3200 cfp) or book your own in advance. I feel like this is one area they need to improve on.

I prebooked a overwater bungalow but changed to a garden villa a month or so before I got there. I'm glad I did because they were doing construction on them and people had to be moved. The overwater bungalow was a small space. We got to see an empty one. The garden villa room was much larger and I got a small pool and lounge area. The bathroom and showers were really nice.
The garden villas are 2 side by side, so you may end up next to someone loud. Ask for one without a person next door. The side by side are connected via a door but would be fun for groups that visit.

Activites on property were included with my Hilton honors account as well as a free mini bar and water. Snorkeling and beach stuff like paddleboarding and kayaks were free. Other then that theres not anything else to do on property. They may have a luau show one night but if you want activites other then water sports they dont have any.

The restaurants were ok but everything is expensive. I never realized how expensive Tahiti was in general and that's coming from someone who lives in Hawaii. Tahiti is twice as expensive. The cafe by the beach had surprisingly good pizza. Breakfast wasn't free and dinner was expensive as well and was a weird menu.
If you can get a package for your food included, I would do it.

There are no buses near this place. No bus stops. You either have to book a tour in the hotel, take a taxi everywhere or rent a car.

The property seems older but in decent shape. The villa patios need an update. Some of the rattan furniture was broken and there was some wood water damage on on of the walls. One of the doors in the bathroom wouldn't close shut. The property is kept clean. The beach is not fine sand so take water shoes or you might step on something.

The front desk was helpful and I had no issues there.

Overall it's a small expensive hotel to stay at but if you are going for that then you should be happy. I could have stayed on Papeete, taken the ferry over for a day and booked a $80/90 day pass instead.

Hilton should include a free shuttle or free breakfast at least. The only perk here is the grounds and view and for the $600 per night, I'd like to see more offered.

Wonderful place. Great location, be sure to get a room over the water. At night you will see all sorts of fish through the glass window in the floor. Resturants are ok, but pricey. Breakfast buffet is very good. There are better choices for dinner outside the hotel. The better restaurants will send a car to pick you up. Ask the concierge to make reservations for you.

Beautiful surroundings and room and breakfast buffet were nice, but it's not as upscale as I expected. Most people were nice but a few of the front dest personnel seem quite snobbish and a bit snarky. Pool and beach area are nice. Be prepared to spend LOADS of money, where ever you go. Not an inexpensive place to visit.

It is disappointing to see how one bad representative can ruin the experience for visitors, Hiravra, front desk receptionist is simply the one reason to take away 3 stars from this review with her aggressive attitude. Sadly that did ruin the positive experiences we had when interacting with all other hotel staff... disappointing.

Great location near the entrance to Cook's Bay. Food and drink prices are high, though, and you can't drink the tap water. Bottled water in the restaurants is $5.50, but they do put two small bottles in your room each day, along with some soft drinks and beer. Reef sharks gather every evening underneath the crepe restaurant, and it's a hoot to observe the reactions of guests watching them.

Amazing property. The over water bungalows are incredible! The service here is everything you would expect in an exclusive Hilton Resort. Even on a cloudy day, such as this one, the stay was beautiful and enjoyable. Island life on Moorea moves at as slow pace. This is a place to relax and enjoy. The Tahitians will say "A'ita Pea Pea" ( No Problem!)

Very impressed by the Hilton team who organized our Polynesian wedding and reception on the beach of the hotel at the beginning of the month. Lise and her team have met all our expectations with professionalism, kindness and efficiency (all by email because we live in Australia!). The service was perfect from start to finish and the Hilton team even offered us a night in an overwater bungalow on the night of our wedding .... A DREAM! All our guests are left with stars in the eyes and my husband and I with unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to all the Hilton team that we highly recommend !!

Staff are the least friendly people on the island....

Staff are the least friendly people on the island. When you order the same cocktail it will never taste the same twice, some ingredient is always missing! When you order a port it sometimes comes in a port glass and sometimes is a whiskey glass. If you then ask the staff about this, they claim the port always comes in a whiskey glass and they don't have port glasses (I litterally got it in a port glass the day before!) And then the exact same thing happened when one time I got a beer in a beer glass and the next time in a soda glass. Again they claimed they didn't even have beer glasses!
If you want friendly staff, a great service and a nice atmosphere, I would recommend the Manava hotel instead!
