Hilton Milwaukee City Center Review

Beautiful building, my room was very large and spacious. Sports bar and restaurant right in the lobby. Great stay.

Room was updated and very clean. The restaurants in the building are very convenient, and the staff very nice!

We ate at Miller Time Pub. As always the food and beer selections are always great. I really enjoyed my spare ribs, but I do think they should have come with a salad or veggie. The meal was about double the price of their burger meals, but half the portion.

Convenient location attached to the Conference Center. The building is old so the bathroom is small and an awkward shape. There are a decent number if electrical outlets around the room though. Only 2 blocks from the mall with a food court.

Unfortunately I can only rate with 2 stars for two reasons. First and most important I the A/C. I'm not sure if it's the same in all rooms but it was extremely loud in mine. Really, almost like w boring in concrete, I needed to turn it off at night. Second thing is the breakfast. I bought vouchers at the reception desk which weren't cheap and in the morning I was told that with those vouchers selection is limited to half of the dishes, I needed to pay extra to be able to select whatever I want (with exception for special things that you need to pay extra anyway). Although quite good but I recommend to go for breakfast to bar near the hotel, it's much cheaper and maybe even better. On the other hand bar is very nice service is very nice and food quite good. Overall hotel quality is good, nice rooms, old style interesting interior.

Hotel relatively nice, despite clearly being older. Room was pretty cramped and bathroom was very tiny. I was disappointed it didn't have a mini fridge or hair dryer. It was great staying within walking distance of the theaters and restaurants, but wasn't quite as comfortable as we had hoped it would be.

Very nice hotel. Clean and well put together all around. Parking is $25. You'll have some interactions with panhandlers more than likely.

Charity event for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center was great! Beautiful grand room and great food.

The rooms seem to be accommodating and there are plenty of food options attached to the hotel.

Swanky digs, good room service food, and the carpeting in the hallway is actually aesthetically pleasing.

Really like this hotel and have stayed here many times over 15 years of travel. Good hotel, but the rooms really need updated. Food is good, Starbucks downstairs is great, and location is convenient to downtown activities.

The room was clean and the ambiance is okay. The place is just old though. You can see some cracks in the bathroom. The carpet is dingy. The heater is an old unit attached to the wall. The place is in some need of refurbishing.

The lobby is lovely, the staff is sweet, the elevators are efficient, but this hotel creeps me out a little bit every time I'm here.

Very good value for the money! The staff is professional and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and have the "extras" you would expect. Only disappointment was that internet access was an additional, and expensive, extra.

Room smells TERRIBLE - like sewage! Called the manager but nothing else is available. At these prices, I expected to at the very least not want to vomit at the stench in the room. We've stayed here a few other times and have not had thus experience.

It was okay but not as high quality as I had thought. The hotel it's self is fine but guest experience is lacking.

We loved the Santa Brunch. The employees were welcoming & attentive. I think my daughter's favorite was Millie the concierge dog!

Nice hotel. Old, but nice. Very warm in our room and thermostat doesn't seem to work very well. Staff were very professional.

Booked a night at this hotel months in advance, for my birthday. Called earlier in the afternoon to confirm the room and was told the room would be guaranteed until 1am. Arrived at 11pm and was told all rooms were sold out. Matt Miller, the manager, was extremely rude and unpleasant to talk to. He offered Hilton points to use at a later date. However, not even enough points to book a room of equal quality. I said I was not satisfied with this and he told me that if I didn't accept that offer there was nothing else he would do. I was one of a handful of others who were told there room was given away even though they reserved and called in advance. I do not recommend trusting this hotel to hold your room even when you call ahead and book months in advance. Also, I hope Hilton will better train their employees, like Matt Miller in the future. He was incredibly unpleasant and seems to be unqualified for the job if he can't even hold enough rooms for reservations that were made months in advance

Stayed in Milwaukee for a week for work. It was a great stay. The bed was comfortable, room clean and the staff friendly.

Had dinner at The Chop House, excellent service and food. Highly recommend.

We were at a Literacy Awards dinner and it was delightful. The setup was just big enough and the food and service was great!

When we checked in we were told only rooms with 2 double beds were available even though we paid & made a reservation for a room with 1 king bed. The hotels rememdy to the situation was 2 free breakfast coupons. When we got to our room it smelled like mold, it was disgusting. Bed was also uncomfortable. The hotel lobby is nice and location is great but the room itself was really disappointing. I would not stay here again

The Grand Ballroom is a gorgeous venue for a wedding. The wait staff was very courteous and attentive despite the size of the party going on that evening.

Nice location in the middle of the city but parking is too expensive in my opinion.

I want to like this place. I really do. In fact there's a lot to like including the old world charm and the historical vibe. But I've stayed here twice and it's always felt a tad creepy in a ghosty-sense.

My fiancee was in the main lobby bathroom and she swore it was empty. But one of the faucets mysteriously turned itself on while she was there.

Could've been the plumbing. But I don't know. The place just gives me the creeps.

The building is beautiful the rooms are nice but very small. The staff was very unhelpful with any questions bordering on rude. Compared to many other "four star" hotels I have stayed at the Hilton is not even close.

The Blu Room bar has a picturesque view of the city especially at night. Great date night spot. Great girls night place. But take lots of money!

Very conveniently located. One-mile walk to Mob Craft brewery, MKE Brewing. Dunkin Donuts very close by. Room was very clean and spacious. Layout of the building was a little confusing. Cheaper parking is available in the open lot across the street.

Nothing entirely bad about my experience with this hotel, but I would not come here again. Rooms are small and the hotel is in need of updating. Parking in the garage costs $24 for a night. Way overpriced in my opinion. Staff was friendly and helpful to me though.

I really liked this hotel. Very clean....everywhere!!!!! Chandeliers and corners and everything. That's really important to me. Also if you get lakeside views, simply amazing. Bed was very comfortable as well

Nice hotel with a pretty lobby, good fitness center, hotel has an art deco look to it. Rooms aren't too small for being downtown, nice convention facilities and skywalk to Wisconsin Center if attending there. Only thing this hotel is missing is a pool, we would look to stay here again if visiting downtown.

If that's not enough, then let me list some other pluses... Full-Service Starbucks in the lobby, B-E-A-Utiful decor and ambiance, a doorman with a top hat, numerous restaurant options on-site, and direct access to the Wisconsin Center. It is also centrally located in the heart of downtown and is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and entertainment venues.

Attended a work function at the Hilton and they were the most amazing hosts. Great rooms, great food, it's hard to ask for a better place to have a convention.

Old hotel for a conference thought would be charming, but loads of bad experiences. Heating is noisy, problems with lock on hotel door, unsympathetic staff... Not friendly staff at front desk...lack of coffee at conference...took it away all the time..., not great room, bed worn out, needs paint, small bathroom, forgot to pick up breakfast ticket...no breakfast delivered to room, big dissappointment, will not return Hope conference does not pick this hotel again.

It's a beautiful building with a great location in downtown Milwaukee. The service is excellent. The room is large with clean and comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The WiFi is somewhat slow and it'd be nice to have a fridge in the room. Good on the whole.
