I asked reception if they could have the a paper put in front of my room in the morning and it wasn't a problem but in the morning it never turned up.
At 9am I had breakfast in the cafe and they looked understaffed as the counter staff member was doing at least 3 things at once as I walked in she was making a cappuccino and asked for me if I would mind waiting for a minute, and just at that time the phone rang and it was a room service order so I had to wait for her to not only finish the cappuccino then the phone call and then finally ask me if I wanted a table for breakfast, to my reply was yes.
All I wanted was some scrambled eggsand toast and a cup of tea with a nice bowel of fresh fruit. Disappointingly the eggs had been put out for to long as they were very dry, and I went to get a cupbof tea but there was no more hot water I had to go up to one of the service staff and inform them not having any more water so it was off to the cappuccino machine for the hot water. The restaurant only had about 10 tables being used at this time and I found the best part of the food was the fresh fruit it was so fresh.

We were very pleased with our time at the Hilton. You'll find everything you need for either a business trip or a jumping off point for traveling adventures. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast room, open from 6 to 10, offered many options (including great coffee of several kinds) and would surely provide something for everyone. And the restaurant/bar, although not big, was good. It had enough variety for four of us for three nights.

But best of all was the friendly, helpful staff. They were there for any need: booking a tour, loaning an adaptor, confirming flights and more. I would definitely return.

Excellent service. Decent pool. Gym a bit small but equipment is in good condition. Building and interiors are a bit tired at time of writing. A good option if you need to be in town. Lots of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Decent bar & lounge. More convenient than the newer hotels on the Waterfront. But just a short walk (10 min) to the Waterfront.

Close to city centre. Seen reports that hotel is dated, it is older I think it used to be IHG but our bathroom had been renovated and was very good. Let's not forget that we are talking about Darwin and not Melbourne. Staff very friendly and helpful. Booked club room with view and overlooked Darwin harbour. Would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, the room wasn't ready at 3pm, had to wait an hour for the room to be available after spending 5 hours in the plane and transfer. Happy hour was misleading, only cocktails! After asking at the bar if we could have a wine and beer. Not very impressed air con far too cold. Not a good start to our stay in Darwin. Let's hope all improves.

Staid exterior but very stylish and slick interior. Room is spacious with a king size bed, modern TV, and decor. Bathroom does not have a bath but otherwise is well thought through.

Mini Bar is deliberately left empty in case you want to use it for storage or can be filled in request. Staff are as expected for a 5 star hotel, professional and helpful.

We had booked this hotel for three nights. Before the arrival they were contacted whether we needed anything so that our stay could be made more pleasant.

Check-in was smooth and fairly straightforward. As a status customer, I received an upgrade to the next category, but decided to upgrade to the executive level for a fairly small surcharge (that would be the second level).

The rooms are modern and modern and are of a reasonable size. Two bottles of water are provided every day, as are the hygiene articles typical of Hilton.

Breakfast was right next to the lobby in the Mitchell Grills Bar. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Ice cream specialties could easily be ordered. A highlight was the juice machine, where you could have pre-cut fruit and vegetables processed into juice, a real vitamin bomb. A tip: We only got ginger on the last day. For a juicer, ginger is the best ingredient, at best always make it available and instead of watermelon maybe apples or a little more varied.

We only tried the pool in the evening as we were out during the day. It is large enough, since it is probably not used too often. You can use it daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the fitness center is fine, there are all important equipment, but the space itself is not large. In my opinion, this can be used 24 hours a day.

Parking at the hotel costs AUD 35. In front of the hotel there are other parking spaces that can be used free of charge on weekends. On workdays, parking from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. costs around AUD 2.50 per hour (maximum 2 hours parking allowed). If you are traveling during the day anyway, parking in front of the hotel is sufficient.

Overall, a really nice stay in a typical Hilton hotel. We can only recommend this hotel, the price / performance ratio is absolutely right. Thanks a lot! We will be back :)

We stay at the Hilton Darwin for our 35 years wedding anniversary from 15 -23 August 2018 . We are Hilton honor member .the most depressing, sad, gray hotel .high price for very low level hotel from the room , breakfast, restaurant ,room, swimming pool and the service (we had to carry our luggage to the room and when we left to carry down)my advise to you if you stay check your account while you are in the hotel,we charged for breakfast and WiFi which we allready paid all up front. After talk with the reception manager and she investigated we got the refund. On the second day we try to cancel and move to a better different hotel ,we couldn t as we going to loose all the money we paid.never ever Hilton Darwin . As Hilton honor member Very upset and very frustrated. Big disappointment .
The onli compliment I can give is to the reception staff Lucia and James god bless you both.

This is for the conference rooms only and the catering.

First up it s a lovely place to walk into off the street. Big interior with a baby grand a bar the concierge a lounge area and the dining to the back right of the venue.

A big staircase leading to level two for a few large of one huge conference room. So the room is a good size for say about 300 people and it is well lit with modern faculties to set up training or a conference etc

The food was good with a wide variety of seafood or meat and vegetables eg. but this of course depends on your budget

In our case we were totally ripped of but this is not the Hilton s doing just the organisers.

We paid 3 grand for three days. Totally crazy for what was offered. Except for a few awesome speakers one from me.

All up great venue and polite staff in a grand environment.

Very pricey for a dated hotel. Needs an upgrade to justify charging $300 a night. Good location in the middle of downtown, easy access to shops on Mitchell street. Service staff were well mannered. Not sure if I will come back again at this price.

Try to make a booking with the Hilton Darwin. Good luck with that. I have been trying for 3 days to get a confirmation for a booking for 2 people. Hilton has a central reservation centre in what sounds like the Philippines and won't transfer a customer to the hotel. Telling me the reservations office is currently closed. When I asked to be transferred to the front desk, the call centre operator hung up on me. Pathetic customer service.

5 stars

Centrally located, easy access to mall, supermarket, and lift to waterfront area. Rooms clean, staff pleasant, management and executive lounge staff keen to assist. Gym and pool on site. Enjoyed upgrade to executive room with water views which allowed use of executive lounge with light breakfast, early evening refreshments and access and use of computer terminal and printer.

We have been extremely impressed with our stay/s at the Hilton. Fresh and modern rooms with the best air conditioning you ll find in town. Friendly team who will do whatever they can to help you. We had a split booking as we spent some time in Kakadu and the team organised for our bags to be brought up when we arrived back in Darwin. They also cleaned up the booking mess created by the travel agent to insure that we had the best room to suit our needs - thank you - we had a lovely time :)

Rooms are very run down. Wall paper is peeling off the wall. Hallway smells like cleaning supplies covering up stale smoke. As a Hilton honors gold member I was not given the upgrade even tho there was plenty of availability. Breakfast was mediocre and there was hair in the food both days

Great gym! Okay pool area. They have a piano that is locked and when i politely asked to play, as i am a professional piano player, they said no. I wish they allowed people who play to play that beautiful instrument.

They are under construction so beware. They should offer cheaper stays because of it. Call and ask if they are still under construction before you book.

I'd give this hotel a 5 but i had no sheets for my bed. Only a comforter which hotels do not wash so I'd like a barrier between me and the comforter. I wish they took better care of me and offered some thing for the inconvenience. I had to put the sheets on myself. That is unsatisfactory! Also the pillows had odd smell to it. Like its been used before without washing. Very unpleasant.

I give it a 3 because it has a good gym and great location

The Hilton Darwin I personally have not stayed here yet but I have read the reviews and seen the photos of the rooms I have a friend who stayed here recently and enjoyed her stay the hotel is close to the night life and not far from the water park roomy rooms and the usual prices for a hotel that's convenient and close to the city centre the paid parking is 30 to 35 dollar's a day witch can add up if you are on a tight budget and there are a lot of hotels that don't charge for parking but it is convenient and close to Darwin and Crocasorous cove and doctors gully were the fish feeding is and not far from the centertarf and park land I will go and stay at the Hilton soon and will be able to give you a more information on this hotel so if you need some were central to town to stay give them a go let me know how your stay went cheers Billy.

What a terrible check in experience. It is 3pm in the afternoon and I have been travelling since 6am from Melb to arrive here to be told there is no clean room. What a load of rubbish. Improve your process, get people checked out by 11 and your rooms clean. It is no longer acceptable to have guests waiting at 3pm in the afternoon for a room.

Hilton Hotel was clean yes. However, it felt very claustrophobic as they have no balcony or any fresh air coming into room, so woke up with a cough. Also, bed was uncomfortable sunk in to much and pillows uncomfortable so woke with extremely sore back, and had to become a member ,if not had to pay for wifi connection. Stayed in many Hotels a cross Australia and can be certain I won't be staying at the Hilton ever again. Sorry.

Very nice hotel. I can kind of see the water from my room. Elevator seems a little aged. Staff was very helpful and I received good service every time I needed it. Pool has shade over part of it. No hot tub but it had an area in the normal pool with a bench and jets. Food was okay. Main problem is bathroom. There were hairs stick to ceiling and if you don't feel super comfortable around roommate, the bathroom door doesn't lock and is partially see through.

Had a lovely couple of days here. Everyone was helpful and the food was terrific. The room was very nice and when we requested different pillows, they arrived very promptly. A relaxing couple of days.

Not recommended. This hotel may have an executive lounge but 35$/day for street parking makes this place... avoid. The receptionist told me it was my responsibility to read the sign. I replied that the reception staff at no point in time had informed me about the cost (for street parking), i also informed the staff that had i known i would have parked somewhere else. Worse 105$ wasted. My advice is stay at the DoubleTrees, at le at Carpark is free.

A little dated but the hotel is kept pretty clean and well maintained.

Went here for a meeting and the room booked was used for cleaning staff to congregate as well which made it difficult to hear what was being said.

Seemed a little unprofessional, but I didn't book the place so I can't say what was offered.

I check in last Dec to celebrate our anniversary. Booked for king bed but to our dissapointment our matress has bad spring spring feels so wear off. We sinking down when we lay down and the whole night we didnt have a good sleep keep us tossing and sore back. We quitely check out and gave our written feedback to one of front desk staff. The room comes with complimentary Breakfast buffet which is very good with much variety of choices including asian dishes.

This is a very nice upper middle class hotel, very comfortable and conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. While Darwin itself is a little hot for my tastes if I had to come back I'd want to stay at the hilton.

A typical Hilton, good service, expensive parking, friendly service, good breakfast. Comfortable bed and nice room although noisy at times from the corridor. Lacking creativity in the executive lounge, especially when compared to other brands who charge $300 a night.
