Hilton Darwin Review

3rd stay, always good service, hotel is starting to look dated though.

We started with room service on a bad foot here. Wanted to give them 1/5 but I always belive everyone deserves a second chance. Except we won't be long here in Darwin and will be spending our money in so many good quality restaurants and services around town, instead. It's a clean hotel, basic amenities small pool etc which is fine for a business traveler. Haven't tried breakfast yet but I am not putting my hopes up.

Nice hotel, but under renovation, so much work still needed.

Poor sound proof. I can hear snoring from neighbour.

Lobby was well presented. Clean and tidy. Presentable and yet comfy couches as well

Nice rooms, very average service and food in restaurants

Contemporary hotel set in the middle of the city, with easy access to everything. The staff are first rate, attentive and always helpful. The decor in places is starting to show it's age, but it is still an excellent hotel.

The restaurant for breakfast is fast, reasonably priced and offers an extensive menu.

The bar/restaurant is great for drinks but can be a bit slow on the meals side of things compared to breakfast. The menu is pretty straightforward, and there are many options within a few minutes walk in the evening.

The hotel has a great pool and excellent gym, and the facilities are what you'd expect from the Hilton.

A very nice place to stay. Four and a half stars.

No complaints. Had a seaview room on the 20th floor. Service is friendly and efficient. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Cocktails are excellent, and pool was clean. Only improvement would be a cocktail bar by the pool.

Went for Breakfast. Nice selection. Did not like the coffee.

Nice hotel and great location, walking distance to all the bars on Mitchell street and only a 5 min walk to the waterfront district. Staff are super helpful and amenities onsite are great. I would recommend getting a harbour view room

Centrally located hotel in Darwin. Very simply designed rooms for a Hilton, not really luxury. Breakfast was ok.

Good location, comfortable, 4 star, good atmosphere.

Pretty basic and in need of a facelift. No minibar in room and slow internet.

The valet damaged my car and hotel did nothing about it. Worst customer service.

Went to function to help friends celebrate. Bar and nibbles service very good - had a great evening!

Average at best.
Rude check in, no mini bar, after 11pm menu is butter chicken or ham n cheese toasted sandwich.
Room and bed linen smelt of mouldy water.
Can t recommend or would I stay there again. It s a no.

Well... 5 stars I wouldn t say that. The pool is terrible ... no sauna etc... rooms are noce with fine beds and linen etc but wouldn t give it 5 stars. Also, parking is extra and only vallet with is a bit of a pain, you have to wait for tour car. Breakfast is buffet and with a good selection of all you can eat but it costs extra too. No views from the rooms. I think you Can get better value for money elsewhere .

We were there for Xmas Party and there was no vegetarian dish other than boiled veggies and bread roll.
Not happy about it.

The location and the service was very poor. I leave a coat in my closet of my room and it dissapear. In the hotel was surprised with this situation but the dont give me any solution.

In the door of the hotel some people of this zone wanted to hit me and in the hotel told me that sometimes happen this situation.

room is clean , however my pillow stinks. seems like an old pillow kinda stink. their restaurant rocks, staffs were superb!

Attended a professional conference, staff are good, facilities are good, rooms are nice. Overall very happy.

However, the air conditioning was ice cold (and increasing the temperature made no difference) and the room was nice but nothing special.

Probably one of the better hotels in Darwin. But the furnishing, decor, amenities are a little dated. Rooms definitely need renovation - not quite the same standards as one would expect of a Hilton in other locations. Has a couple of decent restaurants for breakfast and a bite to eat. Front desk staff is not too helpful though, seems to lack training/

Good location, very close to city centre, clean great swimming pool
(the only reason i gave 2 stars).
We stayed for 4 nights in this so called 5 stars hotel.
$350/night without breakfast from hilton website
there was better deal from partnered website somehow.
No bathtub except King Suite, we stayed in King Executive.
apart from other visitors commented about old furniture, not soundproof = could hear people walk around, close or open next door from our room, also bed, blanket / doona and pillows were definitely not up to 5 stars hotel.
pillows are too soft maybe that's why they gave us 2 pillows/person.
We checked into hotel and aware that one glass is missing in the bathroom.
On 2nd day - until the day we checked out- morning cleaners done our room, we went back to room late and only realise none of them manage to locate missing glass (ok fine, not a big deal).
On 3rd day morning (29/07/2019), cleaning service cleaned the room when I was in the room, after she left the bathroom smelled really bad. Different cleaning ladies came next day to spray freshener in bathroom but couldn't get rid of smell, smell stayed until we checked out.
We chose overnight dry clean (pay service) & got free steam service for suit & trousers just because they couldn't make it on time.
Not up to standard of 5 stars hotel, with 5 stars price.

I normally don't stay at Hilton I have status at other hotels I was pleasantly surprised this hotel has recently been renovated, the staff is friendly and nice. Parking is a rip off for a tiny city. Also the web site for Hilton said parking was $25 but they are charging $35.

Love the new refurbished lobby, bar and restaurant on the ground gloor.

Bar is quite and good service, great place to sneak a quick drink before heading out to dinner

Pool needs cleaning to be honest and filter was not running as well.

Rooms are big and the bathroom is nice. Found a cockroache running around the first night, so that wasn't great. Staff were good and the beds where nice. The AC struggled though.

Warm and very accommodating staff willing to help at all hours of the day and night. Room immaculately clean. The cleaning staff were so kind when I ask for some extra shampoo bottles (which I gift my niece after my travels).
Large relatively modern gym with free weights and a several tread mills, elliptical walkers etc.

I've just had the most delicious meal in the restaurant...the staff were extremely attentive.
I highly recommend this restaurant

Room left A LOT to be desired, paid extra for a harbour view, managed to get room with smallest window in all of hotel, aircon didn't work and other people's hair was all over the carpet still. Room was not cleaned properly before we arrived but staff were more than willing to listen to the issues.

A very relaxing and comfortable hotel, good amenities and a team that understand service.

Attending a conference. Facilities appear to be working.

There wasnt one department or staff member who failed in giving the impression they liked their jobs and wanted you to have the best possible experience while in their care.

From the young international office staff to the kitchen and dining..thankyou for making my first Hilton experience very enjoyable.

Nice lobby, reasonable rooms, great cafe restaurant / breakfast area, dining area and great seating in the lobby lounge by the nice bar. Great location. You could argue it is slightly overpriced for the standard of the built environment., but, staff are friendly and willing to address problems that can happen in any hotel.
You won't find better in Darwin, on balance.

Conveniently located close to all major venues and a short walk from the mall.

The price reflected the accommodation so overall great value. Harrison at reception was brilliant and the duty manager was able to sort out a few issues we had, making our stay worthy of a five star review. Will definitely stay again.

Ok food (but flopped on the Panacotta - too much gelatin)...good service...will come again

Parking is rubbish , they need to provide something instead of leaving visitors at the behest of council blood sucking parking inspectors.

Clean and spacious rooms, right in centre of Darwin

I went there to vote in the General Election as a Polling Place was located there.

Great location. Nice hotel near Mitchell street entertainment and restaurants. Walking distance to Stokes Hill Wharf. Though hotel looks a bit tired but good sized rooms and comfortable beds.
Friendly and helpful staff

Nicely appointed large room with king bed, great shower. Friendly staff and service, nice food. Well positioned at top end of town. Had a small problem with the room when we checked in, they promptly moved us to adjacent room and gave us some free drinks. Happy to recommend, and would stay there again if back in town.

Excellent central location for Mitchell Street bars and the waterfront. Great buffet breakfasts and well appointed rooms. Staff were great for sorting out any issues.

I went to the Hilton restaurant with a few friends, food was very good, generous serve and amazing service.
