My family and I were forced into a hotel stay when our furnace stopped working on a very cold night. The staff was very helpful and sympathetic. The room was clean and they were very accommodating. In the morning I ordered breakfast which was delicious and checking out was a breeze. Would definitely reccomend

I don't have the time to describe how bad our stay was. Rude service in restaurants, horrible room service, uncomfortable accommodations, broken beds, bad air conditioning, twice stepped on broken glass shards in breakfast area, found a disgusting fake eyelash in our bed when we arrived. wallpaper peaking off wall in room, waiter told me to just not eat the onions on the sandwich I ordered when I ask him to make sure they don't put any on it in the first place, asked for extra towels and pillows- took 3 hrs to get them, when we complained to the front desk, all they offered was points, points don't cost them a thing and that's all they offered. this place was definitely not worth 600.00 for the weekend. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Had an amazing lunch on Mother's Day! However was sad to see they did away with the kids bar with Mac and cheese, chicken, etc. which meant my kiddos didn't eat much. Everything was clean and neat and very nice. Whomever made the sweet tea was top notch!!
Rooms are dated and for the price the quality is poor. The restaurant inside the hotel is good and it is next to the golf course. Location is convenient.
Went to the Civil War Round Table held here. I thought it was a very nice facility for any meeting.Lobby roomy, meeting space roomy, bar roomy, architecture impressive what more could you ask for? How about a room for the night!
This place was beautiful. Our room was fantastic! The lobby area is beautiful and the pub area is very nice. Breakfast buffet was so yummy. Great view. The staff was very helpful and great to talk with. Would definitely visit again.
The location was very clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious the beds are very comfortable and they had good admitted tee such as a pool and jacuzzi sauna workout room.
The stay was okay, but one month later there was an unknown incidental charge on my credit card. I called and the staff said it was because a form was filled out wrong. I was attending a conference and was there for two days. No one contacted me while there to correct what could be wrong. Also, there were many others in attendance with the same form and my husband's was signed, so the person handling it could have made a minor correction. I have called three times and left a message with two of the staff members and neither of them have bothered to call me back to discuss a remedy for the situation. The hotel needs to review the staff, as they are the ones that affected a low rating on this hotel.
Beautiful hotel but the A/C in the rooms are terrible!!! Hallways and meeting rooms the A/C works great! I had my a/c turned as low as it would it go, 60 and it would never blow cool air. I was there for 3 nights and complained about it the 1st night and it never got fixed. My other 30 business partners all had the same problem
The only things that go for this place are the kindness of people who work there and the view of the golf course. Everything else is substandard. Rooms are old. Bathrooms are tiny. Pool is closed. Food is terrible for both breakfast and dinner. Nowhere to go around this place. Avoid if you have a choice.
Our conference room was a great size for our class needs, the gentleman who was in charge of the room (I assume assigned to our room/event) kept everything neat and stocked
Very nice, there was a couple of people who were arguing half the night next door to our room or I would have rated it 5 stars, I could still hear them through the walls.
I attended the conference center for a wedding dinner. The evening went off without a hitch. The service, and waiter did a great job. The food was delicious and was served promptly. The venue was beautiful and seemed to be perfectly setup for a wedding dinner. I would recommend this space to anyone look
Hotel is a good location. For Marietta with a good breakfast. They are a little slow on fixing problems with the room. However I constantly stay at this hotel.
Attended for a retreat. Did not spend much time in the room, but it seemed quite nice. Lobby and other public areas were nice. Breakfast was only okay, with few servers to give coffee/etc and food was getting refilled slowly.
HiITON PLEASE REMOVE YOUR NAME FROM THIS PROPERTY!! This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. And I travel frequently. When we walked into the lobby it smelled old and musty. That should have been a sign of what to expect from the rest of my stay. The entire hotel needs a major renovation. The chairs in the room are stained. The guest rooms are musty and old. The bathrooms are small and the showers don t drain. So if if take a shower, you re also taking a bath. We moved to another room and that room was just as bad. We had an event at this hotel and we will never ever book here again! I believe that the Motel 6 would have been better than this horrible place. Everyone in my group had the exact same experience.
It's ok. Very much ready for a renovation though. If you like playing golf it is nice to have to course right behind the hotel, but as a non golf playing guest , I find it underwhelming at best.
Nice, quaint rooms. Kept clean and the like. Two of the elevators were out and for the 4 nights that I was there, I saw no work being done on either of them. Added to this, there was no coffee or tea out in the mornings. I don't know why you wouldn't have this at other times of the day but not the morning- the time when coffee is most consumed. Front desk was really nice, albeit a tad slow on resolving the matter.
The hotel.is showing its age with struggling air conditioning and aging upholstery. I still love the setting and hope they will invest in upgrades soon.
My wife and I got married here at the end of August. As far as the guests could tell, the wedding was lovely and went off without a hitch, but despite the beautiful grounds and Brumby Gardens, I would never recommend getting married here.
It was a little surprising that, when we checked in, we weren t greeted as a wedding couple. We didn t hear Congratulations or Welcome to your wedding, and were treated just like any other guests that came through the door. This wasn t a big deal at the time, but a signal of things to come.
My mother had called the hotel a few weeks before, to ask to buy a bottle of champagne to have in the room when we arrived. She was told there was no need, that champagne would be waiting for us anyway. It was not, nor did anyone say anything about champagne.
The only stress or anxiety that came out of our wedding was brought on us by the incompetence of the Event Coordinator, Christine Podwoski. She was our liaison with the Hilton, and had helped arrange everything with us up until the wedding day, when she disappeared. We couldn t find her for hours while we were scrambling to ask for more tables and running to the front desk whenever we had a question. The first time we saw her, she was showing the gardens where we were setting up TO ANOTHER COUPLE. Instead of being available for the clients who d already paid $8,000 to have their wedding, she was giving precedence to trying to sell the gardens to someone else. This was a slap in the face. We have no delusions that a hotel should shut down all new business when an event is going on, but ignoring and avoiding the clients who were already there and getting married in 3 hours is ridiculous beyond the point of reason.
On the night of the wedding, I went to the bar to get my bride a glass of champagne. I was snarkily told by the bartender, No champagne, what else does she want? Besides wanting to smack someone on my wedding day, it was disconcerting that the full, premium bar we had paid for had no champagne FOR A WEDDING. My wife and I had to scramble to find the lead server to ask for champagne and glasses, which, after some arguing, he brought us.
Christine had promised us in writing that we could have a reserved brunch for the guests at 11am before their departure. She promised we could order from a shortened menu which she said she'd send us, but we never received it. As we arrived, the staff was shutting brunch down, and we were told that no such reservation existed. Again, we had to prove what was promised to us before the staff begrudgingly set the buffet back up. They knocked a few bucks off the cost of the buffet, but I'd have gladly paid a higher price to avoid the stress. Or simply to get what we'd paid for.
As opposed to ending our wedding weekend riding off into the sunset, we unfortunately felt the need to start our life together by telling the General Manager, Dwayne, about all the anxiety Christine s lackluster job had caused.
We are not complainers. My wife and I have worked in Food & Beverage, at hotels and restaurants and bars, for a combined 20+ years, and we were appalled to be treated like this on our wedding, after paying so much money to the hotel. Dwayne was frustrated with his staff, and comped our hotel room, which was very generous of him. But he also promised to contact our parents, who d helped pay for the wedding, to apologize to them.
He never contacted them, which is why I m writing this review.
It was the final straw, that, again, we were promised something that we did not receive. It is for these reasons that I would NEVER recommend getting married at the Marietta Hilton. It s infuriating that we paid so much money to be treated like cattle, wrangled through the wedding fence so the Hiltons can eat their steak.
Beautiful location. Golf course view room is definitely worth booking. Thank goodness for the Hilton Honors member upgrade! Breakfast was delicious. The back "porch" was fantastic and very relaxing. The sunsets when we were there amazing. Take a walk around the golf course and enjoy the views from a different location.
Good and bad. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are nice, but the a/c in our room would never adjust to 70, and the thermostat does not tell you what temp. it is. We did get lucky that a cool front rolled in and the window would open. Room was over all clean. The store was over priced ($4 for a candy bar). Shower power was excellent on top floor!
Beautiful looking hotel as far as driving up to it, the reception area and the views out back of the golf course! Stunning! The breakfast buffet is very good and so is the pub food. The reality check came when I asked how to get to the pool and they said it opened closer to June! It's going to be 90 degrees this week! Plus on night one the pipes started to scream and black sludge came out of the sink! There's a folding seat on the tub wall which was offputting if you like baths. The cleaners are really loud all morning so don't plan to sleep in.
We attended a small conference here, and the building and food (which I think was provided by the facility) was top notch. Had I the need, and the wherewithall, I would certainly host an event here.
Didn't feel too welcome on arrival. We were part of the Perfect Game Tournament and didn't feel like they wanted a bunch of kids around. The facility is beautiful and the grounds. Not all employees were that way. If I had a choice it would've been a different one.
Very average rooms. Prices exorbitant and not fitting the weathered style, average cleanliness and unkempt or even slack presentation of whole complex. Not happy with staff or prices charges as we recieved much better value for money at less expensive chains.
Food was great, and that's what matters. Beyond that, the rooms were good for our conference and I appreciated the snacks during breaks (Ok I like eating)
The hotel is beautiful! I was pleasantly surprised that such a magnificent place was nesselled in this location. The view from the rear of the hotel is breath taking, with the rolling hills and trees. The staff was friendly, courteous and always helpful. Thank you for making my stay enjoyable.
The best thing about this place is the view of the golf course, the southern vibe & kind staff. Everything else is just bland, also the bed was uncomfortable.
Incredible view of the golf course and lovely architecture. Reminds me of the hotel in the Shining. However it is older so don't expect everything to be super modern. Still really loved it and found the customer service at front desk to be incredible upon my arrival. The ladies were remarkable in providing a memorable experience.
I've stayed here before and it was a little pricey especially since the hotel needs to be updated. However, it's in a great location and close to lots of food and entertainment. Only minutes away from the Marietta Square.
The only best thing about this hotel that saves from leaving 1 star is location. Rooms are extremely outdated and lack of attention to details and cleanliness: bathroom countertop was bronken in half, light in the bathroom broken, vent where air comes from filled with dust and mold, spring tiny beds (for real???). Spent at Mariott over the same trip and was amazed by renovated rooms. Hilton has to step up or will be a total waste.
