Wonderful piece of Victorian architecture still preserved in the heart of erstwhile 'London of the East' definitely a tourist attraction
Try to have a look at the details in the ornate pillars.
The new annexes stand as an eyesore beside this majestic building. Try walking along the corridors, history will whisper in your years from centuries afar!
Parking is a pain....try to have a round on foot...won't regret!!

It is the oldest high court in India. The building was built by the Britishers. Though the area is very congested but that is where it's charm lies. General public can also visit inside the court & can see any court proceeding live & don't forget to carry an valid ID card for entry inside. Although it will be shifted from here to New Town in few years as new & very big building of high court is being built there. Parking is a major problem.

I am an Advocate of this Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta & practicing in the Writ, Civil, Criminal & Arbitration matters apart from other matters; so many persons got relief from here & it is the best place to have proper justice to the citizen. This Hon'ble Court cannot do injustice to anybody in proper matter, it is my belief. I love this Hon'ble Court very much as a Golden Temple of justice to the people at large.
