I have bought 3 different car audio solutions from Hifi Buys and they are the only people I would use in TN. They have always done me right. In fact I am going to visit them this week to get a new system. Much love HB.

Oh and sorry... I agree with Jake. Go to Best Buy or Electronic Express if you just want your trunk to rattle and thump. If you want quality sound go to Hifi- period.

After working with TJ to get my dad an in-wall/ceiling home theater setup, I knew I had to come back to freshen up my own equipment. TJ was again very helpful getting me set up with some Klipsch cabinets at a great price. I am so satisfied, and working with Hifi Buys could not have been any easier. When you need better information then you can get from the geek squad at Best buy then come here. I had not been to the store in 25 years as I live out of town, but they still know what they're talking about.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with HiFi buys. TJ has been my salesman for about 8 years and he has provided me with great prices and wonderful customer experience since I first walked in the door.

The story that I tell everyone is about the 65" Panasonic plasma that I bought five years ago. I loved this TV, but no more than 6 months in a one inch black bar appeared on the right hand side of the TV. I called TJ and told him about the problem. I was very concerned because I had misplaced the paperwork on the TV. TJ let me know that everything was fine. He had all the information from the sale and he would contact the appropriate technicians. All I had to do was answer my phone when they called and let them in the house.

Most recently I worked with TJ on purchasing speakers for my new house and had them come out and put two speakers in my ceiling, two in the walls, mounted my TV and sound bar, and connected it all to my receiver in my AV closet. As long as TJ works there, he has a customer in me.

Simply put, the best Nashville has to offer. Period.

This place has all your audio/video needs for home and mobile. The staff is very friendly and is not pushy at all! I researched many items for a home theater setup on two or three visits and didn't feel pressured once to make a purchase. I finally made a purchase on my third visit. I liked the place so much I had them install an amp and several speakers into my vehicle. Again, a very pleasurable experience with no pressure to purchase anything. The installation into the vehicle was flawless! By far the cleanest install I've ever seen.
I highly recommend this place for all your audio/video needs. I know I'll be back.
Everyone I encountered was very friendly but the ones who stand out were Daryl, Scott, Bray, and Cam!

May not be a best practice for a consumer based store to advertise for a particular political-party candidate with a large billboard in their parking lot.... comes to mind when in the market for products they sell.

Was told on phone they were booked up for 2 weeks and to bring car in on 7th. I immediately put this date in my calendar when I show up they said they had me scheduled for the 5th and were too busy to do it.

Needed new speakers for my car - the manager and installer looked at my car and confirmed they could complete it and had everything they needed. I dropped my car off - went to pick it up and they stated they were unable to install the speakers. Such a waste of time - what was the purpose of looking at my car and confirming a month prior...? Do not shop here!

I bought a Denon receiver from a salesman John about a year ago. Have had to send back twice for repair . When bought was told by this salesman warranty 3 years on Denon . Told up front after asking that shipping was free to the repair company both ways. Well first time Hifi shipped it and when finally after 4 months it came back and had to pay 38.00 for return shipping . When got it home the display not working. So after heated discussion with sales guy John he told me to contact this repair company and ship it back myself . So I called them and asked about shipping . The customer rep told me shipping is free both ways and did not know why HiFi charged me for return shipping. The other thing not happy with HiFi John did not even bother to check this receiver when git it back . Had more than one issue with sales guy John and he is a real mouth piece . Every time confronted with what told in past and get highly offensive . With this said under no circumstances would I ever step foot into this store . This sales guy John stands there and very reluctant answering anything technical and gets high rate as if questions are dumb . This sales guy John told me has worked for this outfit for over 30 years . Do not know how because about the most arrogant sales person have had the misfortune dealing with in my life time . NO WAY IN HELL WOULD BUY FROM THIS HiFi Buys ever .

TLDR Great experience! Good price, clean install, and professional service.
My vehicle had an amp and subs with an older head unit that was shorting out some where in the system. I was able to drop it off in the morning and have these guys check it out for me. I let them know I was interested in possibly replacing the head unit. I received a call a few hours later about a short in the wiring. I was given several price options to repair the issue and upgrade my head unit. I decided to have them repair the short and get the upgraded head unit. It looks like a new factory install. They mounted a usb port for my radio and tuned my amp. My drives to and from work are one hundred times more enjoyable thanks to these guys!

I've shopped off and on at HiFi Buys for decades and bought both home and auto equipment from them. I've always had good service and bought great products from them. Recently, though I l received stellar service from Jon Paul Hooper, a sales rep. After a brief interview about my music preferences, he led me to a Denon close-out receiver that was for sale at a great price. After having trouble setting the receiver up with my inputs, he came to my house to analyze and fix the problem. He, and HiFi Buys, won my respect and admiration once again. They are a class act.

Top of the line help and equipment. They carry the best and do install too. When i needed service for warranty, they did have to send it out but they got back to me quickly when it came in

I visited HiFi Buys last week with no intentions of making a purchase however, Scott in mobile audio took the time to listen to what I wanted. He actually understood my goals and brought out a few different subs and hooked them up and we listened to them. I had purchased a far more expensive subwoofer in a ported box and I wasn't getting the sound I was looking for in my car. Scott took the time to explain everything and work with me although he already had two other customers in mobile audio. I was so impressed with his customer service that I made a purchase. The low end in my car sounds perfect now and I understand how a company like this has been able to compete. I went to Best Buy and other audio stores in the area and no one wanted to take the time to truly understand my goals. They certainly didn't take the time to listen to the audio in the car. It was such a simple gesture but it made a huge impact and I purchased a new subwoofer there that day.

These guys are definitely the best source for the customer who actually knows what high end audio sounds like and are willing to pay to have that quality. Not the best place for the people who are just looking to hit their $100 budget and don't have a clue what value is. Know your place, don't hate because you shopped out of your league and got shut down... Also it doesn't matter how much you spend on your system, if you are solely using it to impress those outside your vehicle, you're probably going to blow your sht up. Dumbass

Their website says they sell Mobile electronics but all they have is home theater and car stereo systems.

The store is amazing. For people who are into quality noise, these guys will help you with whatever you need, doesn't matter your budget. Shout out to Paul for being the man!

I bought a pair of JBL Synthesis speakers from them over the phone. There aren't many Synthesis dealers in the nation compared to your everyday brands, and even fewer dealers that keep the Synthesis speakers in stock. Hifi Buys had them in stock and was willing to ship them to me in Atlanta. Sean was very pleasant to deal with and I would gladly do business with him again in the future.

I had been struggling to set up my amp and subs the right way and settings in my Sonata for years. Got with Lee from hifi buys and it took nothing but minutes and I was set!

If I could I would not give any stars, I spent 35 min waiting for someone to assist me with the car stereo and I finally just left, when I walked in I wasn't even greeted to begin with. What a waste of my time.

Extremely friendly and nice - the salesman didn't put any pressure on me and let me demo a ton of gear. I was only visiting the Nashville area and would have purchased if I lived in the area. Extremely knowledgeable as well.

This place has great rating because the the employees love their job. If they didn't , this place would be like all you other subpar big box stores. THEY ARE AMAZING at HiFi-Buys!!! I came here one Saturday in April after detailing my boat, and realized my amplifier had burned out. After panicking, I came here, told them exactly what I needed, and they went straight to the perfect JL marine amplifier. I got it at a price below anything I could find online, and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Been buying my electronics from them since I first moved to Nashville. Always give me good deals. I think I bought almost every TV, VCR, DVD, and Blu-ray I ever owned from them. Mostly Sony. My goto place.

This is my favorite store for my tv and installation needs. Super friendly staff and extremely professional and knowledgeable. Did a quick tv mount in my bedroom and it looks great! Would recommend them to anyone.

I can't stand walking into a store and getting hammered by salesmen ONLY interested in pushing highest end products and making that extra buck.
That said, this was the best showroom experience I've had in quite awhile.
T.J. was fantastic and took the time to walk me through all my questions and concerns.
I had no intentions on purchasing when I walked in the door, but the center channel I was interested in sounded so great, and the price was so right(and lower than online prices), I couldn't pass it up.

I plan on becoming a long time, repeat customer.

Hi-Fi Buys is the best place in the Nashville area for serious audiophiles. The product selection is great, the staff is great (ask for Paul!), and they can work with virtually any budget. Whether you want entry level gear or the best of the best, they have it. They have become my go-to for all audio and video needs. Will be going there for years to come!

Stellar business. Quality products. Installation is immaculate. I super don't want wires all visible, it's really unattractive. HiFi has a magic wand perhaps. No wires anywhere. It's so seamless and pretty. Frantasic job.

WOW!!!!!!! I went into the store on thier anniversary sale. After pulling into to lot and seeing nothing but high end cars I thought oh boy me an my 04 Silverado are out of place. Also the fact that I had on my holy jeans and I wasn't going to church. I was greeted just inside the door and directed to the car stereos. After a few minutes lee met me. He asked what I was in need of. He listen let me finish the started to show me speakers and radios in my price range. This was one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. He never tried to sell me on the big stuff just what was in my range. These guys are GREAT!!!! I'm just sad I had to put off the install. I didn't budget enough for it. I'll see you guys in a few weeks can't wait to hear my new stuff. Thanks Lee!!!!

The first time I went to Hi-fi Buys, my car had broken down in front of the store, and I determined that the same fuse was burning up, and causing the car to shut off, so I went in and asked them if I could buy one fuse to make it to an auto-parts store, and they gave me a handful free of charge. The second time I went to Hi-Fi Buys, I had been to 12 other car audio stores beforehand and had been told by all of them that to replace the receiver in my car would require them to install new speakers, receivers... Everything! Hi-Fi Buys told me, no problem. It wasn't until I pulled the stereo out of that car that I saw the engineering and creative skills that had made that possible, it was truly impressive. I have always had a good experience there, and have bought many of the higher priced electronics that I own there, and they all still work. If your buying a car stereo ask for Lee, (although I've never been there when he isn't, and didnt greet me peraonally) the guy is encyclopedia of audio knowledge.

If you want the current and best in HiFI gear this is the place to go. I have no problem telling my friends to shop here. Knowledgeable,friendly service and the best gear.

Recently I decided to upgrade and enhance my current audio system and television. I went on all the forums, read all the reviews, visited Best Buy Magnolia 4 times and I went down twice to hi end shops in Atlanta. Every one I spoke with was A) either confusing and just trying to sell me. B) Confused and just trying to confuse me. C) Knew absolutely nothing about the difference between the Sony 85 inch 900 series VS the Samsung 82 inch QLED Q8FN . Or all of the above. Then ( Tim my AV Guy ) a friend told me to go see John/Scott and TJ at HiFi Buys. Being knowledgeable is one thing. Being knowledgeable, understanding and able to convey their knowledge in a helpful manner is another. I cannot express how amazing the experience I had at HiFi Buys was . John answered all my questions and put up with me for 4 visits. Never once tried to " sell " me but only to " assist " in what I was trying to accomplish. I purchased the 85 inch Sony 900 series along with several other items I had researched for weeks. Very OCD I am. Their prices were better , their knowledge light years ahead of the others, their courtesy was like a Ritz Carlton ! I was amazed.

Very positive experience shopping for speakers. We drove two hours to get to the store and listen to some speakers. We were provided with the expert advice and full attention of a sales person whenever we needed, and were allowed all the time we needed to make a decision. It was a lot of time, because it was a big decision.

They even used the same amp we have at home to run all the speakers!

With all the support and the time to consider, we felt totally confident in our purchase. It has been several months now (5? 6?) and we are still as excited by the awesome speakers as were were when they first came home.

Don't know who I should point the finger at but my experience has been poor. Spent plenty of money on the Control 4 system in hopes of automating my home. Started with the Theater but never went beyond because of unreliability in the system and expenses with "updating" hardware. Anytime there is a power outage or network issue, the system would need to be reprogrammed at $120 per hour and $160 per hour if you want it done faster. Ridiculous. Probably will change the whole system out to something more reliable.

This is the best place in middle Tennessee to find anything you need for your home and car audio needs. They have some of the most qualified people as their sales associates that I have ever seen. They carry audio for the smallest to the largest budgets.

I have been shopping here for years. Jon Paul Hooper always helps me out in store, and he is great about returning my e-mails. Hifi helps me find the best that I can afford within my budget and they never push me towards items that are out of my price range. A couple years ago I bought a turntable from them that I got home with and just wasn't happy with, they exchanged it for something I would be happy with no questions asked. Today I went in to buy a subwoofer for my home theater system, and I was set on buying one particular brand. Jon pointed me in the direction of another brand he thought I should audition without insulting the one that I came in for, and after a side-by-side comparison, I realized that he was pointing me towards the better subwoofer for the money. Always great help, thanks guys.

I was sold some car speakers from what Hifi Buys sells to you as a professional. But they are only professional sales men not professional electronics assistants. I gave my specs for he amp i had, Even brought it in and was sold a speaker that was to fit the amount of power I would be supplying. Also told that when installation is done at Hifi Buy there is a guarantee. So as long as nothing was altered in the amp or speakers from installation then if anything was to occur for instance blown amp or speaker then repair would be covered. So of course due to their hook up my speaker has blown and now i am out of a speaker and money for this poor service

Would give 10 stars if I could!! We paid 1/2 a down payment for sonos speakers over a month ago with a different retailer told us they had no idea when they would be in and when they could install.

I called Hifibuys and worked with Dylan and he had two people out the SAME day to install for us. Anthony and Corey installed and made it look very nice and were so helpful in teaching us how to use it. Awesome company and awesome experience!! Highly recommend

The staff there very co-operative, took time about an hour to explain how the home theatre system will work when everything we want to customise.. Hifi buys are a long term players serving from years...

Best home speakers I have ever owned. They are so knowledgable, have some of the best brands and everything I needed. Prices and service is better than any big box. Buy Local. Completely recommend them.

Excellent service overall. Good price on car audio equipment especially for the quality. I worked with Scott and he is the man. He has great technical knowledge, felt like the suggestions he made to me made sense for what I was looking for, the install was much better than I was expecting, and the sound and quality is amazing.

Sales associate was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Took his time explaining the options.

I've been a customer of Hi Fi Buys since the 80s. I'll no longer be buying anything from them again. Their car stereo department is lacking to say the least. They kept my Jeep 7 1/2 working days to install a system. Then when I picked it up Lee told me to come back in a week to fine tune it and show me how the new head unit worked. The nerve!
I spent $4,300 on this system. In all I spent around $9,000 in there in February and March total. I didn't get what I wanted, expected or was promised. I took it to another store and they added another amp and different speakers. Hi Fi Buys sold me entry level speakers. I wanted better.
If you're looking for car stereo equipment or install there's other places in and around Nashville that appreciate your business. Do your research. Shop your business around and you'll see.
Also they have a very minimal listening room with very little variety of brands to listen to and choose from unlike the other places I visited after I left Hi Fi Buys dissatisfied. I was very impressed with Cartronics in Brentwood and Titan Motoring too.

The system you "designed" took all of 60 seconds to "design" it.
When Lee Dobson and I took a seat in the Jeep he instantly told me the components he would be be using. I questioned the power of the amplifier since it was only 20 wpc more than the one used in the Corvette. He said "trust me." I should have been insistent and demanded a more powerful amp but I now understand why he is stuck on the JL Audio brand. When I asked him why he was locked in on JL Audio brand he told me that when they buy more of a certain brand they get a discounted price and then pass the savings on to the customer. I was charged full MSRP for every component in both of my vehicles. Enough said. Also I told Lee I wanted the best Alpine head unit that could be bought. He told me he would get in touch with the Alpine rep and get back to me. I called him twice and asked him had the rep and he talked. He said yes, and that I would be getting the newest model and I would be impressed with it. After picking up the Jeep I then saw that the unit was actually released in 2016. It was not a recently released model. He lied to me.
Also, you did not put a valet cut-off relay in the engine bay like the one in the Corvette. Guess you guys overlooked that. I would like a refund for the missing relay.
Now here's the kicker: Lee gave me the date to bring the Jeep in for the $1,000.00 install. It was on a Monday but i got that day confused with a doctor's appointment. When I listened to my voicemail messages around 10:45 on the install day i had a msg from Lee asking where I was. I called him and told him that I thought my install day was the next day and that I was sorry and I could bring the Jeep to him right then. He said no and that I had actually cost Hi Fi Buys money and that he would " have to find some work for Scott to do keep him busy." He then began to tell me that it would be at least a week before they could do the install and I told him that I thought maybe we should just do it in about a month so not to rock the boat. The tone of the conversation then changed from one of being berated to an it's ok...could you bring it in...2 weeks I believe. I'll always..always believe he was on a mission of revenge when he took possession of the Jeep because of way he jerked the Jeep remote out of my hand and his inability to get ahold of me. I guess he doesn't like sending text messages.
I also was able to find out who the owner was. Lee told me that you and him are close, that he comes over to your residence ocassionaly and spends time w you and your wife and that you are a very cool guy and that you treat him like he was a son so the customers contact of recourse isn't a very good one. The reason I asked him about the owner was I had planned on contacting you/him about me " costing Hi Fi Buys money. I'm truly sorry I got my days mixed up and put HI FI Buys in the red for the month of February and March. I'm running out of character spaces.Uhaventhearditall. s

Nice, pleasant, polite staff even when you don't buy something. Although, we did order something. . But seriously, I have been doing business with them for decades. They are a great place to go for audio/video for home/car.

I was very impressed with my service from Hifi Buys today. The assistant manager name: Lee Dobson was so "HELPFUL"....I recommend him for any help or service that you may need at Hifi Buys. He is so awesome and polite; very, very, helpful. I am one satisfied customer.

I have been waiting for them to schedule an appointment for more than a year to help me get my home system to work properly. Every time I stop by to get help they always say we are 2 weeks behind for appointments and told them to schedule an appointment and they say we can t do that.

Always the best service and Equipment you can't find anywhere else. Highly recommended!
