Lovely facility. The tasting bar had plenty of seating. The staff couldn t be bothered to pour. They were quite busy with their smartphones and personal dialogue. The wine wasn t amiable to our pallet; that said #7 & 8 on the flight were more noteworthy. Alexander Valley Cab (#8) was the most enjoyable & we revisited that pour. We suggest that the staff receive customer service training. No one wants to beg for the next pour.

Not a good place. They treat the customers like they are doing you a favor to serve you. I was there with my husband on his birthday. The couple of men near to us had a desert with a candle. They took pics. When i asked for the same for my husband i was told only they get it because they are friends of the chef. None available for us. Very bad example for the rest of the customers.

Always a pleasure to visit this winery with the charismatic workers. Best Kosher wine in the area. If you didn't know, it makes it Vegan too, but why try argue against the Whole-Foods connoisseur while we have this delicious gem in Ventura?
You can have a nice self-guided tour. Very welcoming staff. Wine tasting with description of each wine. Elegant restaurant serving lunch, may be a little overpriced then closed after 2 until dinner. Great food!

Quite the experience going to #herzogwinecellars the #tierrasurrestaurant does not disappoint. For me the symbol of a good restaurant is their desserts. Most kosher restaurants buy their desserts. This place makes everything from scratch and it shows. Never thought I would like hibiscus ginger ice cream, but I stand corrected. Really enjoyed the pickled vegi tapa during the wine tasting, definitely added the palate cleansing acidity. They served some very yummy whites. Love this winery!! Great wine, gorgeous tasting room, fantastic food and super friendly staff (they make you feel like family). Joined 2 of their wine clubs recently and came to the latest member pick up party. It was amazing!!! Such good food/wine pairings. And really great atmosphere.Oh, and make sure to go upstairs and do the tour, you can see their enormous barrel room, it's really cool. Can't believe this place is in Oxnard (Oxnard isn't exactly known as a wine town, haha).

I had the privilege of going to one of the harvest Dinners here and I'll be totally honest it was outstanding. It was a four course dinner and each dish was better than the last. Great people and top notch service. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting a must if you are a foodie and a wine lover

Wonderful wines. Delicious (if not slightly overpriced) food. Great atmosphere. You can do a quick self-guided tour of the facility and see their process. The advice on a Sunday afternoon was very slow. But the wine is great!
Arguably some of the best wines in the ventura and oxnard region . they have a very large collection of excellent wines. The service staff is friendly and knowledgable. There is an integrated restaurant which has an amazing buffet. it was excellent. I highly recommend this winery. The building is one of the nicest Iv6e seen and is comparable to a large Napa winery.
Herzog's winery is very nice. The people are very friendly and I enjoy myself every time I go!
We went there as a party of 8 for my cousins birthday and when we ordered our meal, I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed at a restaurant before in my life. The steak had no flavor and it looked like it was boiled. And the lamb (even though the waiter told us it was 10oz) it was no bigger than a 4oz steak. In addition to that, 4 of my friends ended up being sick the same night and a couple the day after. We tried calling the restaurant for 3 days in a row, and every time we got a hold of them, they told me that the manager will call us back and he never did. I tried to dispute the charges and they told my bank that they never received the call from them. I will never step my foot in this place ever again and definitely urge people to not go especially with such high prices they charge for low grade food and services.
The service: The staffs are very knowledgeable about wines. When I spoke to them, I could tell they are all wine lovers!

Herzog is wonderful. The tasting room is great. The servers are all nice, and a couple have become my friends. The other customers are usually really nice too, I've had fun conversations with the other guests at the bar on random evenings. The atmosphere is casual and fun. The wines are great. The selection is massive so if you don't like the wine you're tasting, just try another. The flights are always fun, the servers are knowledgeable.The food is fantastic! Starters are great to pair with the tasting flights! They have wines for $100 a bottle, and some for $10. The lowest priced wines are still delicious. All the Baron Herzog wines are great. I have become spoiled on their wines so that I only want the ones I get from there. I am a member and I really just love this place. It's so much fun to visit, I've never had anything but an excellent experience.
Lovely tasting room. Pleasant staff. Adequate pours of 8 wines. We didn't LOVE any (all were just "ok") but they change their flights every 2 weeks and we will absolutely be back for more. I've purchased Herzog from retail outlets and have enjoyed so I am sure to find something lovable in a future tasting. We weren't hungry at the time but will plan to try out the small plates as so few places have food. Great option!
*Update: been back at least twice since I first reviewed and have found wines to take home. I'm glad we have some good local wineries in Vta Co.
I expected better food and service for the price we paid, the server hardly was around the food was not great, the lady in the front was not pleasant because we were ten minutes late for our reservation, the building specially 2nd floor was fantastic.

Absolutely an amazing time! Personal service was included in my meal! The server took the time to explain all the dishes and then, at my request, chose 3 wines for me to taste that complimented my choice! Wonderful! The best meal in ages!
Womderful place to have delicious wine. The hidden gem in oxnard no longer seens hidden. If you come look for wine-tenders Kristin or Ed. Both are fabolous.

Great experience. The wines are, mostly, great and I think fairly reasonable for the price. The wine tasting is $11 but, if you buy a bottle of wine (the cheapest is $11), the tasting fee is waived. There are not many places you can get a tasting and a bottle for less than $15. The food is decent too. When I was there, they had $10 shipping so we sent a bunch of wine back home.
