One of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The tables outside have a classic view of the street car on St. Charles. I've never had a bad meal here, but standouts include the pasta with guanicale appetizer and the steak.

We ordered the Mexican Firing Squad and the Kreyol Daiquiri first, and we both loved the daiquiri. The appetizers we ordered were both amazing, especially the deep-fried poached egg on the spaghetti. The beef short rib was also fall apart tender. Both entrees we had were also great, but the duck confit really stood out.

I quite liked the restaurant, it has very good food, without a doubt, an excellent service that the waiters provide us, the food is quite good, and it has an excellent atmosphere, quiet music that is held in the place that I liked a lot.

My husband and I snagged a last minute table and had a lovely and delicious evening. The service and recommendations were great. I had lamb and mushroom lasagna and it was fabulous. Don t miss dessert!

Classic decor in an area that be a bit dead on the weekends. This means you may not need to wait to get in. Normal portioned dishes that are not overloaded with sodium - perfect place for lunch.

The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star review is the noise level--conversation was very difficult. Beyond that--wow!
Service was prompt and friendly. Our server had recommendations and answered menu questions confidently.
We had our wine within minutes of ordering, and our appetizer shortly thereafter. Entrees were delivered as requested and were fantastic! The grilled teres major was perfectly prepared, as was the trout others in our group had.
They have a extensive wine list--you can definitely find a bottle of something you like. The dessert menu is also good and they happily provided extra plates for sharing.
The location is right on the St. Charles streetcar, and an easy walk from the main hotel district.

I will be talking about this meal for a while. Quite a few glasses of Cava, short rib, ceviche, filet, swordfish, vanilla bean custard, espresso. Everything was exceptional. Everything was outstanding. Small details did not go unnoticed. The atmosphere & staff were perfect as well. I will HIGHLY recommend this to any future travelers & I look forward to returning on my next visit (I was in from Philly).

I'm not sure if we had an off day or what, but we went after reading glowing reviews but were disappointed with extremely slow service (over 20min before even having our order taken and much longer for mains to come out after appetizers). The chicken we had in the gumbo was overcooked and tough, coffee was lukewarm, duck was good but overall an unpleasant experience.

Friendly staff and delicious food! Had a busy atmosphere at lunch. Great recommendation from the bartenderess - French 75. Have never had a breaded and fried poached egg Woah! Paired really well with the pasta!

HerbSaint at it s best! We ve been several times over the years, but everything was on point this time. With reduced seating capacity you could hear yourself think and have conversation at the table. Our table was along a bench that Id sat at years ago, afraid I would sit on the table next to me, but where there were 4 table tops -pre pandemic, not there were 2. Service was fast, so fast, the food was steaming hot and perfect. Started with their excellent gumbo. We had the very hard to beat duck confit over dirty rice, it s just wonderful, and a flounder special which was also delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was a great finishing touch. They have ole ty of outdoor seating and two dinning rooms to spread tables out in. HerbSaint was shinning this visit!

Had the chicken, which was flavorful and quite good. Service was also good. Just wasn't blown away by the overall experience; not a real knock on Herbsaint - it's good - but at this price point a five star restaurant should do something special.

I would recommend this to a friend.

We had reservations for a party of five when we arrived on a thursday evening just before Christmas. We were welcomed and promptly seated. There was plenty of wait staff lined up near our table and we were welcomed by them as well. Withouts a moments notice drink orders were taken and bar service was quick. The atmosphere is laid back and the facility is clean and well decorated. Joe, our waiter was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when asked questions about wine parings. He explained the nightly specials and went into details about how the cobia was acquired. All our dishes were well presented and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend Herbsaint. Be sure and make reservations.

Modern bistro with southern style dishes and a huge wine list! Came here during Jazz Fest and would recommend to anyone wanting an upscale experience. Lots of ways to mix and match your meal with small plates and entrees to choose from.
