Did a lot of research on which restaurants to try while visiting. This restaurant showed up on multiple lists. We were not disappointed! We came for a birthday and the service and food were perfectly on point. Hands down would order : crudo, ceviche, lasagna, and duck. Lovely time all around! Thanks for helping us celebrate!

This ranks as one of my best meals ever! The soup of the day was a spicy chick pea that had so much depth & brightness. It had some heat that wasn t overpowering but added so much. Our main dish was the Duck Confit & it was outstanding! Don t miss this-the crispy skin plus perfectly cooked duck & splashes of acid ? Citrus-was so surprising & satisfying.

Nice place to go have a meal or a quick bite. Very large selection of wine. Impressive. Ambiance is wonderful

Loved the duck confit and a pork belly entree. Good drinks too. Expensive but we really enjoyed it as the parades rolled outside.

Got there before 5:30 dinner menu. Was able to order the gumbo which was excellent and the shrimp (tasted like andouille sausage). Good but expensive cocktails, too.

Delicious from beginning to end with attentive service. The homemade spaghetti appetiser with fried poached egg was exceptional.

We had great service and since fabulous food dining here. Would love to return and will when in NOLA again.

Have dined at Herbsaint intermittently since they opened. Their food quality and preparation is going down. The personnel are aloof and the bartenders obstinate. If you want great dining in the same area, suggest Marcello's, Josephine- Estelle or Desi Vega...all within two blocks

We had an amazing dinner experience. The food, service, and drinks were fabulous. My wife and I shared a baked Asiago for appetizer. She had Duck Confit and I had the filet. We ordered a bottle Michele Magnien Fixin 2016, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the correct crystal glass for the wine. We closed the night with a Banana Brown Butter tart and a Strawberry and Pineapple sorbet, both delicious. I also want to make a special mention to the delicious homemade bread.

Eh, it was just okay.

The servers were kind of stuffy & uptight, trying to force small talk. Clientele was similar, but sitting outside helped us deal with the cold demeanors. No warmth.

Why is the service so painfully slow? It took us about ten minutes to get our waters. We were there for roughly two hours, & I'm not sure why.



Save your money for food & service that really demands it.

Food was food , but very limited menu for pescstarian as pork overused. Wait staff was pretty good though an app was taken away when I was not finished. Desserts at end were delicious. Not as good as when Susan Spicer opened it but still nice.

What an excellent example experience. We were greeted quickly, taken care of by our service team well, and the atmosphere for lunch is lively. The food is the star here. The soup of the day was a drum and mustard green chowder that had an amazing broth. The spaghetti appetizer is one of the best dishes we ve ever had. A perfect portion of handmade pasta, a smoky cheesy sauce and a fried poached egg on top. The dessert we had was a chocolate mousse covered in dark chocolate with a creme anglaise and malted milk powder.

Exceptional all around experience in a low key setting. Casual atmosphere with high end service. Ever detail of the meal was perfect. The lump crab with watermelon gazpacho was done perfectly. The gnocchi was surprisingly light, didn't stick to your ribs as gnocchi often does. The highlight of the meal was probably the saffron fideo, never had anything quite like it before. We ended up ordering extra bread because we didn't want to waste any of the sauces.

Great food. Great workers. Not to many people but thats good with covid-19 right now. They clean the area real good when people done eating. Everyone support your local restaurant's wear your mask and stay safe

Usually if you go to a nice restaurant and try a couple of items, one or two are particularly good and the rest are alright. Here, everything we tried was incredible. So get some small plates and share.

The food was good, service was a bit rushed due to the "kitchen shutting down soon" but I didn't really let them bother me ;) I was a huge fan of the spaghetti and lamb lasagna.

Blindfolded for the Mexican Firing Squad and the rode the goat. You'll enjoy the meal!

Exceptional food, but please be aware the portions, including wine pours are small. The prices are definitely not indicative of the sizes. There are alot of New Orleans resteraunt that offer bigger portions and better pours at a much better value.

Some of the best gumbo in the city. Chef Link's team executes the rustic cajun, city creole & seafood dishes to a perfect tune.

Really tasty food and the atmosphere is bustling and trendy! They accommodated our group of seven no problem and the service was great. Tasty bloody mary as well!

The food was great. It was the typical smaller European portions, the price, however was not.

I spent hours scouring the Intergoogle for pasta carbonara near our hotel to no avail. But Herbsaint had a spaghetti dish that intrigued me and was only steps away. Hubby and I ordered the spaghetti and gnocchi dishes and were so pleasantly surprised with both.

Wow! The food is just so fresh and tasty. The beautiful thing is the tastiness comes from the freshness of the food. We had the fried oysters, just out of the world! Crispy on the outside and just cooked and juicy on the inside. Nice! Service is good and servers were friendly. Fantastic experience!

One of the best restaurants in the city. I have never ordered an entree at this restaurant, appetizers are too delicious. Staffed with hospitality professionals, live this restaurant. Start with the carbonara dish, you will get another!

Herbsaint is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. I went last Wednesday with family and close friends after the Mardi Gras festivities were nearly over. Go for the great service. It's good for business lunches during the day or a nice dinner date in the evening.

This place is fantastic! We got the mushroom lasagna and the chicken with crawfish curry. This was one of the best meals I've ever had! Cocktails were all delicious and our servers were all great. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious but to be honest the portions were like a kids menu. I always ask if the plates are to share because in many places the portions are huge....but here they were the opposite and the waiter even suggested that we could share...thanks God we order separate!

Everything was amazing from start to finish, especially the Louisiana jumbo shrimp! Great service, atmosphere and drinks as well. Definitely one to go back to!

The food was amazing. I recommend the duck lasagna. The beet salad was terrific. Make sure you save enough room for the cheesecake and blueberry compote.

I ate duck confit, dirty rice, and two (not one) scoops of house made ice cream--lemon. Served with a crunchy piece of shortbread to accentuate its creamy tartness. The duck was exquisitely prepared. Amazing! The skin was crispy with silky fat attached underneath which melted together flavors from the flesh. The dark meat on leg and thigh needed no coaxing to fall off the bone. Confit can be scary. Often gamey pond fowl overly salted and dried out, traditionally rendered to not perish on long journeys. No, this was not that. A culinary and technical feat few have mastered, the meat tender and moist and yet it remained unmistakably confit. Careful attention to process and method produced this example of confit and it made me pause and wonder, was I doomed forever more never to find another duck prepared with equal, a parallel duck, prepared as well as this? Fortunately the wonderful wait staff at Herbsaint brought me back and kept me on task. It was meant to be eaten, not contemplated.

Ordered the Sicilian beef anchovies side and the pork entree. Exquisite. Highly recommend.

Outstanding. Oyster starter was cooked perfectly as was the salmon entree. But the star dish was the Jumbo Shrimp, a North African inspired dish with a broth so flavorful that we asked for extra bread to sop up all the deliciousness. Service was spot on. Truly a great experience.

Really great experience. Food was tops, service excellent, cocktails exquisite, dessert amazing and dog friendly outside. In a city full of great food, this place shines. Couldn't be better for a French option.

A great date night experience. The menu was well done with plenty of options for anyone in the party (from meat lover to vegetarian). The gumbo and the lamb loin were incredible. The cocktail menu was great too and I loved the tequila mixed with restaurant made grenadine. The quality of the restaurant is excellent and the price is reasonably matched to this level. This is a great location for a special occasion or just a fun night out.

I visited Herbsaint while on a business trip to New Orleans - and while I was on the Auto Immune Protocol, which is a fairly restrictive diet. Not only were they flexible about accommodating my dietary restriction, the swordfish I had was delicious - will definitely be back here soon.

Don't leave New Orleans without eating there. Had gumbo and crispy goat. To die for!
