The rooms / suites are lovely and well appointed. Staff nice, approachable and unpretentious. The restaurant clearly deserves its Michelin status: delicious dishes that, in all its simplicity, put the season's ingredients at the center with nice new combinations or Anglo-inspired twists. The accompanying wine menu is also clearly recommended. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also unpretentious; and the music flowing out of the kitchen helps reinforce this impression. A fine combination of professionalism and Jutland charm!

The food is fantastic, probably the reason for the two michelin stars, the rooms are all decorated with each their slightly abstract style with still high precision. Everything is carefully selected and set to the smallest detail, a fantastic experience in itself.

Fantastic experience. All the details were in place. Super service, beautiful, delicious rooms, lots of focus on land to table and clean ingredients. And despite michelling and gourmet, the mood was informal, with a twinkle in the eye and very accomplished.

Been with Paul before they got stars in Guide Michelin. Great food, good wine and lovely place. Compared to the price and they have 2 stars, I personally did not think neither the hotel nor the service lived up to expectations.

The food was fine but there was a lot of acid in almost all the dishes. During dinner there was loud music in the kitchen, and there were always different waiters with us. Even the chef was inside and serving in a spotty apron, shorts and just feet in sandals. The room we sat in did not harmonize with the exterior of the place. The service was also a mixed country store. We have eaten at several Michelin restaurants and see it as a holistic experience. Here was a little mess in the aesthetics but the food was good!

Henne Kirkeby Kro announced autumn autumn evening celebrations until November 28th. When I called the 5th to book dinner and accommodation, they just changed the day before, so they did not have any openings on Wednesday anymore!
It's simply too small that you can't trust their advertising!

Beautiful place out in the country. The surroundings are fantastic and it helps to make the experience absolutely perfect.
All the senses are pampered when the chefs conjure up the kitchen.

Have eaten at many gourmet restaurants including Noma and this one is on par with Noma. There are two differences:
1) service was good but not at quite the same level as Noma 2) location. Located in the countryside in West Jutland, which I also think is the reason why they do not have Michelin stars yet.

FANTASTIC PLACE .... try it.

Fantastic lunch experience in beautiful surroundings! It is seldom that I want to be able to give a sixth star, but the on-site service rises in class by being competent, knowledgeable and entertaining without being pretentious, otherwise the miami scene can be influenced. The food was wonderful and I am happy to come again for the desserts.

Beautiful environment not far from #Vesterhavet #HeraklitHouse. I loved to see the free ship in the fild.
Inside strictly comfort with design and soul.
Michelin stars is all right.
Outside you find a WALL and flowers to be used inside. Love the place when heading for #Badevej.

There were some very loud guest in the room where we ate. It was very unpleasant and the staff/waiter didn't do anything about it. At some point the other guests were so loud (and drunk), we couldn't understand each other at our own table

A great meal, served with enthusiasm and love! Can recommend a walk in their little garden before or after dinner. The waiters are professional, and yet personal with all the focus on you as the guest. Very enjoyable!

A really good experience, with an unsurpassed dinner.
Upon arrival, the receptionist speaks on the phone, interrupts the conversation briefly, welcomes us and apologizes for a moment. A good start.
The dinner consisted of 5 servings. First we had to have 4 snack servings.
The staff who served us for dinner were absolutely amazing. Friendly, had time to talk and listen to our stories.
The food cannot be put a finger on.
The 5 stars are completely in place and fully deserved.
Can only recommend a visit.

Delicious food .... right after my taste buds ... hard to highlight a single dish, but the monkfish with peas and lemon sauce to sat right in the cupboard. I can still taste the dish when I think about it. The wines matched the food perfectly.

All in all ... THANK YOU for really nice food and wine. Can definitely be recommended

The restaurant is run by the English chef Paul Cunningham and has had two stars in the Michelin Guide for years - and last year it tasted extremely good. Also this year, despite Corona, a wonderful, multi-hour and multi-course experience with extraordinarily charming service.
Our meal started with a "papadam" on which the usual sauces and chutneys were already served. This was followed by delicious Danish squid in an umami stock made from soy, garlic and ginger. Afterwards there was wonderfully thick duck meat wrapped around a confit, with a little plum and a cracker. The last "snack" consisted of a cheddar mousse with a cheddar cracker with mustard seeds and caramelized onions, "cheese and onion" par excellence.
As an intermediate course we were served wonderful bread with baked-in herbs from our own garden, with herb butter, in the shape of the film "Han Solo".

The cod that followed was a dream, perfectly cooked, with garlic sauce, thick-fleshed olives and lots of fresh lemon zest and olive oil, spicy, delicious.
Now Henni's favorite course, which was already cooked for Queen Margarete: pigeon leg with claw (for the teeth!), Confit, then a wonderfully cooked pigeon breast with a crust of pepper, pistachio and sugar in a red wine jus with vegetables from the garden, with a raw piece of fillet. I've never eaten pigeon - something tastes like game to me.
We treated ourselves to another cheese platter: very aromatic French cheese and a Danish Parmesan, with something that looked like rye bread, but was a sweet biscuit, but which went perfectly with the cheeses. Here they dared to do something - and not just served lame Gouda.
The highlights were also the desserts: "Pig's ear" with cinnamon, persipan, cherries, almonds, in a cherry sauce (divine) with lemon thyme and almond ice cream and "Belgian waffle", heavily caramelized, in between praline parfait, with caramel sauce, on top of which is white mousse Chocolate with lemon zest.
An incredibly balanced combination of sweet and slightly bitter, crispy and soft.
With the coffee there was nougat made from honey from their own bees and a funny, slimy lemon thing (gummy bear?) Rolled in tonka bean sugar.

The food and wine menu (and, incidentally, the rooms, too) did not meet the very high prices they charge at the inn. The final (VERY heavy) dessert wine was served without any sense of situation - people simply left it after the long dinner. Despite several comments from the guests, the shooting didn't seem to touch the staff the farthest. The great experiences on the menu were simply too few to recommend the place.
