German Texan Heritage Society Review

The German Christmas Market was not well planned resulting in long lines and crowded conditions. We were not able to enjoy the market because of the crowding.

Great folks dedicated to keep up the German heritage in Texas. If you want to speak German while in Austin, this is probably your best bet. Alternatively, you may go to the German department at UT and ask for their currently scheduled events and meetings for the general public.

Wonderful school to learn German, from little children to adults.

Nice German School in a historic building. Some festivals trough the year.

Came here for the Oktoberfest and it was great! Good German beer and authentic pretzels, even an oompa band.

MaiFest was fun. Enjoyed the Stammtisch with my Dad recently, and this is where I used to teach German

Attending the Christmas Market is an exercise in patience. Spend 45 minutes in a line to enter, then immediately join a line to enter the indoor market.I Spent over two hours there in lines.

We had fun but it was so popular and crowded during the holidays.
