I have never left a negative review of any business; however, following a recent attempt to trade a watch, I felt it was deserving. This was after being offered less than 20% of the cost new of my Omega watch that is less than two years old, toward the trade on a new Rolex. I guess premium watches are not a good investment to lose more than 80% value in less than two years.

We were in town for a wedding and (with an Apple store across the street) I knew this area of town would have some unique spots....this store has an old world feel with unique pieces of jewelry. My wife and I were first introduced to Henne when we were searching for our wedding rings. We found ourselves in a time crunch to get a wedding band just over two weeks before our wedding when another jeweler fell flat on their promise to order us the matching band to our engagement ring. When proposed with the challenge of making a custom band in 10 days (to account for travel time to destination!) John Henne did not back down. In fact, he didn't even hesitate to accept the challenge. At this point he turned things over to Jami LoAlbo who helped us design our band. Jami was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable and continued to ease all our concerns about possibly not having a wedding band for our wedding day. When we picked up the band it was PERFECT. It was far more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. I walked into Henne Jewelers with a concept for a custom piece I wanted to create for my wife. I was introduced to Jessi who immediately made me feel welcomed and that she was personally invested in creating/making this perfect. I brought a few ideas from Pinterest and general ideas but Jessi helped guide the entire process and ensure I was beyond thrilled with the final result (as pictured).
My wife was raised in/around the Squirrel Hill area her entire life. When the shooting occurred at the Tree of Life synagogue, we were both devastated but having such a personal connection to the area and people, my wife was very deeply impacted. We attended many services and vigil's where we were placed a stones on the names of those eleven victims but at one in particular we were encouraged to take one to keep. The Jewish tradition to leave stones on gravesites is to symbolize the permanence of memory. Stones do not die - nor will the memory of those that were taken from us.
I had taken her stone after that day without her knowing and replaced it with the one I had. It was this stone that I walked into Henne with and Jessi truly understood the full meaning of what I was trying to accomplish. Once the pendant was complete, she helped to pick out the perfect chain and wrapped it in beautiful paper & ribbon.
To say my wife loved the finished product is an understatement. It serves as a reminder to her to truly live while we are given the gift of the present day and physical symbol to never forget those taken too soon. I was looking for a pair of antique cuff links in the estate section but was not at the time able to find the exact look or style. We had a wonderful experience at Henne. The sales associate, J. Ivan, was professional, courteous, and knowledgable. The overall environment and all staff members were very pleasant. We originally went to get a watch resized, which was for a small fee. We were served mimosas and looked at other items while the sizing was completed. After sizing, we discussed several prices of items with J. Ivan, and he was very informative and helpful. Finally, he informed us that the resizing fee would be waived. Henne's commitment to the customer remains true, and this experience most certainly earned our future business.
I'm a music fan and Miles Davis is one of my favorites. My wife bought a Montblanc Great Characters Mile Davis Rollerball Pen for me and I broke it, trying to change the refill. Naturally, I was frantic; I broke a $600.00 pen! I got online to see who in the Pittsburgh area could possibly repair my pen. Enter Henne Jewelers. I took the pen in and was greeted by Ivan and Sharon. They checked my pen in and told me that they would send it to be repaired and get back to me with an estimate. Sharon also mentioned that she would check to see if it was under warranty. I'll close by saying that I got my pen back yesterday (good as new) and I was extremely pleased with the charge. Sharon, Ivan, and Nina provided first class service and I would recommend them to anyone with jewelry needs. I will go back to them to do business.
After deciding to take the next step with my then boyfriend, I began to shop around for rings to ask him to marry me. I set off excitedly to find exactly what I knew he would like. Unfortunately, that excitement wore off after I encountered less than enthused sales associates at the big-box stores. When I started looking for an engagement ring for my wife, a friend recommended Henne Jewelers. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I bought my wife's engagement ring, I loved the experience! The staff was extremely helpful and genuinely caring. In fact, they told me about their "To Have and to Hold" program. In the program, the Henne's will offer couples a financial incentive on a couples purchase if they commit to going through premarital counseling. They told me that, "Most people spend more time planning for their wedding day than they do for their married life." I couldn't agree more. My wife and I went through premarital counseling and it was extremely beneficial to us.

Bert helped us get a replacement engagement ring when the original one, which we got from an online jeweler, broke. It's really true that you get what you pay for, the online jeweler was subpar quality. The original ring broke not even a week after I received it, but well after the return period.
