I started my engagement ring shopping just by googling jewelers in the Pittsburgh area. I was really impressed by the reviews I saw for Henne, so I started there. My search ended there as well! I was immediately impressed the first day I went there. Their service and knowledge is the best you can find, and they had such an incredible selection of rings that could fit anyone s style and price range.

I worked with Meghan and she was extremely helpful, knowledgable and kind. I had a particular customized style ring in mind that I wanted before I got there, and Meghan was able to walk me through the right ring and diamond sizes/quality. I was clueless about diamonds when I got there, but we looked at many different options together and I felt confident the ring I wanted was going to look exactly the way I envisioned it before I left that day.

When I picked up the engagement ring weeks later, I was amazed how beautiful it turned out! I ve gotten nothing but compliments from everyone since I proposed.

My experience from start to finish at Henne was incredible. They offer to have a photo of you and your spouse-to-be on display inside the store, which is nice. They allow you to come back anytime to have your ring cleaned for free, as well. We just went back yesterday after a year, and since I wasn t able to see Meghan when I picked the ring up, she gifted us a small ring cleaning machine so that we can clean the ring at home! I highly recommend Henne Jewelers to anyone shopping for an engagement ring. I wouldn t even consider anywhere else!

Henne Jewelers was everything I d hoped it would be - When I was shopping for my engagement ring, I was very worried about getting the right ring for the best price. I went to several stores, and Henne was the only place that showed me all the details of my ring and made me feel confident in my purchase. Meghan helped me out, and was very kind and patient with me as I had a lot to learn. I will be purchasing my wedding ring here, and am planning on shopping exclusively at Henne as I purchase jewelry for my wife in the future.

I also had a more moderate budget (read: under five figures) and was intimidated to shop in person because I was worried about being a small sale. Meghan gave me all the time and attention even after I told her that, and didn t try to oversell me once I told her budget was important to me. This says so much to me about a quality salesperson and business, and when I have big money to drop in the future, I won t want to go anywhere else.

I bought an engagement ring at Henne and had a great experience!

My then-girlfriend had a bracelet repaired at the shop a few years ago. The cost of the repair was under $20, but she remarked how kind everyone in the store was. I thought that if the staff put that much care into a low-ticket item, they could be trusted with a larger purchase.

Jami helped me throughout the process and I couldn't imagine anyone I'd rather work with. She was not pushy, but provided valuable guidance and advice when needed. Jami even helped get the ring ready ahead of schedule to ensure I could propose on vacation! Since receiving the ring, Henne has also been very responsive when setting up re-sizing appointments.

I don't plan on getting engaged again - but if I do, I know I'll get the ring at Henne.

Meghan provided excellent service and found a specific diamond for me, even though it wasn't in stock initially. She offered great advice and was available for immediate contact throughout the engagement process and even after. My ring was even resized within hours of taking it in! We are looking forward to going back to Henne for our wedding bands soon!

I visited Henne this morning. I just moved to Pittsburgh and was looking for a local jeweler. Boy did I find one. I spent about an hour talking watches with Debbie. She was extremely knowledge and super nice.
This is the place to go to be treated like a king.

I would highly recommend this jewelry store to anybody searching for an engagement ring. I worked closely with Meg who helped craft the PERFECT custom engagement ring I wanted to give my fiancee. Great experience working with Henne Jewelers in Shadyside! Everyone we interacted with there was welcoming and professional. We worked closely with Meg during our wedding band shopping. She was instrumental in helping us build my custom wedding band that fits perfectly with my estate engagement ring. We had one hiccup with the ring artist who manufactured the ring prior to us seeing/approving the design. About a year ago I went to a few different jewelers in Pittsburgh trying on watches. At the time I wasn't ready to make a purchase but I knew when I was I wanted to go back to Henne Jewelers. I really cant say enough about Bert Esterhuysen, the Gemologist at Henne. I had a pretty horrific experience with my insurance claim process, and Bert was with me every step of the way. He worked with me for 5 months as I navigated the craziness of my insurance claim and gave me invaluable advice throughout. He went WAY above and beyond for me, when he definitely didn t have to. Once the insurance situation was handled, he worked with me to create my dream ring, and was really an absolute joy to work with. I know Henne can seem a bit intimidating to those of us who aren t financially in the upper echelon of society, but they really do treat every customer with care and respect, and I can t say enough about Bert and my experience with him.

After being married for 13 years, we finally decided to purchase an engagement ring (we take our time with things). I had a very vague idea of what i wanted to get and Juliet was honestly the most patient person i have ever met. I am super indecisive and she explained everything to us and showed us so many different rings/styles/ diamonds. Everything went so smoothly and the ring was ready before the estimated time frame. Juliet communicated with us every step of the way after leaving the store that day that we ordered the ring until the day that my husband picked up the ring (and after to make sure that I loved it too). I was concerned that the two watches I wanted to take on a snorkeling vacation might not be waterproof. Chris pressure tested both and found both waterproof. Thank you Chris for the peace of mind. I have been working with Jennifer Perham at Henne Jewelers for the past several months on several projects and I have been impressed with her diligence, knowledge, dutifully getting back to me on each issue I had (and I always have many), and her honesty. Henne Jewelers was recommended to me by an out-of-state jeweler. I'm glad I asked Henne for their advice, and a quote for getting a piece of jewelry back into wearable shape. They are the best! They helped me evaluate the stones, and the condition of the metal. They gave me all the information I needed to make my decision. I had the damaged stones recut and polished, and had a new setting made like the old one, only better to protect the stones. They even ordered a 3D printed mock-up for me. About 6 months ago, my girlfriend and I began the very overwhelming process of engagement ring shopping. After visiting few different shops around the city, we thankfully stopped into Henne Jewelers on a Saturday morning. The store has a small, local feel to it; coupled with a very inviting and knowledgeable staff. Jami LaAlbo helped my girlfriend thru the different types of sizes, cuts and charities (among other things, i'm sure) and found EXACTLY what she wanted, within our budget. I then went back a few weeks later and picked up the ring (It really was that easy). Jami and the rest of the staff made the process seamless and very transparent. I was never pressured into making a purchase. More importantly, I never felt like I was being "sold" anything. This process was supposed to be stress-free and enjoyable - Jami ensured it was that way. Of course, my girlfriend is now my fiancee and we have a date set late next year. I cannot recommend Henne enough.

He was extremely professional, personable, and friendly. I went to Henne to have my damaged engagement ring repaired. Burt explained to me and my husband that it was beyond repair and the reasons why. He offered us different options , and was very patient with us while we decided what we were going to do. We were able to use the gold and the smaller diamonds from my damaged ring to make a new engagement ring while purchasing a new main stone. I picked up my new ring today and WOW, what a great job Burt did!!!

Exceptional service, absolutely gorgeous expertise craftsmanship, unbeatable value and sales experience. Can't say enough good things, especially about Chad Rickicki, aka "Chad the watch guy." Chad does far more than watches, he facilitated the computer-aided engineering of a gorgeous custom engagement ring and was exceedingly patient, understanding, honest, attentive, caring and gave us a great deal. He also worked with me to meet my timeline and honor the discretion needed for a surprise occasion when I gave the ring to my wife.

We've bought several items now through Chad and Henne, most notably including wedding bands, a custom engagement ring and a watch. In Pittsburgh this is simply the only place we'll go, and the only place to go for all things fine Jewelry, if you ask us.

Henne's is super low pressure too, and they can offer refreshments and chocolates while you shop.

My name is Jessica and my husband and I have been happily married for almost 17 years. Two months ago I noticed the bridge under my engagement ring had cracked on the side of the main diamond. Never needing repairs in the past, I wasn t sure where to turn.
Our first estimate came from a big name store who needed to send it out of state for repairs. It would have taken over a month to fix. I felt uneasy, so I called Henne and spoke with Sharon. She was warm, friendly, and reassuring. I brought my ring in to the store for an estimate and loved the family atmosphere. Sharon understood that my ring held great sentimental value and that I simply wanted it fixed, not rebuilt with new materials, etc. I loved the idea of it being repaired on site! And not only was the estimate $100 less than the other place, but it was ready in 2 weeks!

I had nothing but positive experiences during the entire process of designing and purchasing a custom engagement ring from Henne. I worked with Debbie N. who was incredibly helpful, and went beyond the call of duty to ensure every aspect of the ring was perfect. Additionally, Bert the Gemologist was not only extremely knowledgeable but equally helpful as well. While absolutely unnecessary to his job duties, Bert went as far as providing local tips and suggestions regarding an upcoming trip to he and his wife's home country in Africa.

Shopping at Henne for our wedding rings was the best experience of our wedding preparations so far! Henne showed us the personal attention, time, and personal service I always dreamed we'd have when choosing our wedding bands. We live about 2 hours away from Henne, but the trip was well worth it. We had a pretty unique request for the engraving of our wedding rings -- a personal message in Elvish writing. Henne and the Lashbrook engravers worked closely with my fiance and me to make sure our rings were exactly what we wanted and within our budget. They kept us involved in every step of the process e-mailing or calling us to update us on the status of our rings or to give us other options. Our salesperson Meg took the time to sit down with us and show us rings to try on in a variety of makes, styles, and finishes until we found the ones we really wanted. She understood our unique vision for our rings and even found it as amusing as we did! Walking into Henne even the first time felt as though we were walking into the home of a friend because everyone was so welcoming and helpful.They even offered refreshments and chocolate coins while you shop! I was also impressed with their free Valet parking around the holidays. Henne staff and the companies they work with seem to understand that their business is not so much about the jewelry they sell, but more about the people to whom they are selling it! My wife and I had a great experience working with Jacque at Henne Jewelers to pick out our wedding rings. Jacque showed us a lot of different options as we started the process and helped guide us through to picking out the perfect rings for us. She was great to work with, patient with us as went back and forth on our favorite designs, and communicated promptly. Couldn t be happier with our rings and would highly recommend Henne!

I have been a customer of Henne for almost two years now. Each time they have exceeded expectations and been both friendly and professional.

I've had two watches serviced with Bert's help. Each time he was helpful and informative, and actually explained a great deal about how watches should be serviced and how often. Chris, their watchmaker, did a fantastic job at servicing both of the watches I brought there.

I have also had several custom pieces of jewelry designed at Henne. Bert and Nina helped with this process, each time, they helped by describing the materials I could use, explaining the cost, care, and properties of each material. They went through several CAD models, which were very helpful for me to understand what the finished product would look like, and even made multiple CADs at once if I was not sure about which design I liked better. On some occasions, they even suggested to me ways that I could keep costs reasonable and get something more in line with what I was looking for (e.g., easier to maintain or to clean).

Throughout my experience at Henne I have never felt like the staff was trying to upsell me or pressure me into service, and being and engineer, I especially appreciate Bert's technical knowledge, which has ultimately helped me in designing beautiful pieces, including an engagement ring. Though at times the service is expensive (for someone who doesn't spend much money on non-essential items), I've been very happy with the quality of work and with the expertise of the staff here.

Audrey saved the day. I was looking for a custom ring my three friends and I were hoping to gift to our friend on her wedding day. The four of us have been friends since birth and had something super specific and meaningful in mind. Audrey was able to help us get it made in UNDER TWO WEEKS and even had it shipped overnight to arrive in time the big day! Highly recommend working with Audrey.

15 years ago, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and was at the Hillman Cancer Center for surgery. As they prepared her for the surgery, they could not slip her wedding ring off, so they cut it in two pieces. At that time my mother-in-law and father-in-law had been married 42 years and the ring had never been off her finger in that time. Needless to say this devastated the both of them, and their 11 children. My wife and one of her brothers came to your store and encountered you. Hearing the circumstances surrounding my mother-in-law s ring, your repaired it free of charge, as my wife and her brother waited. They were able to slip it back on my mother-in-law s finger as she woke up from the surgery in the Recovery room. Your gesture and act of kindness have never been forgotten by our family.

Five stars for excellent service. We had Henne's refurbish the prongs on my wife's engagement ring, which is somewhat older (it was my grandmother's). We're grateful that Henne's double-checked the setting after offering to clean the ring while we were in the store browsing. Night and day difference -- they showed us the (quite poor) condition of the prongs through a jeweler's loupe before we decided to leave the ring with them, and again after the repairs. We were also impressed with the fairly quick turnaround time, especially during the holiday rush.

Bonus: ask for Bert and he'll give you a delightful crash course on crystallograpy and gemological science!

Finding myself in the position to buy my first new Rolex watch had me doing a great deal of research and shopping in the Western PA area.
I wished I had started with Henne Jewelers and I could have saved myself a great deal of time.

I will update this review after I stop in this Thursday, however I wanted to give a personal review of John Henne. John is a tremendous person who was recommended to me by Mr. Somrak and a YouTube personality. Right away, John made me feel as if he knew me for years and even went to the extent of helping me decide on neighborhoods to move to. I strongly recommend dealing with him personally and will be purchasing all of my watches here.

Update: The store was great and I ended up purchasing a Charm for my dog. Meeting John was great and I look forward to going back!

Bert was beyond exceptional with his compassion and kindness in a somewhat emotional situation; he was able to keep me calm while explaining how my ring could be repaired and even made a recommendation for improvement. Upon pick-up my ring looks better then ever! Henne and Bert did a fantastic job, this will now be our jeweler for all purchases going forward big or small.
