Very disappointed!! This was the 4th time we have stayed at Heart Six. The room we just stayed in was not completely renovated. No screens on windows so unable to open the windows and it was hot in the room. One window was partially open...about a 1/2 inch so dealt with bugs in the room. Room was dirty! This was the renovated rooms called Buffalo Valley. Unfortunately will not go back which is too bad because it is beautiful there.

My wife and I are on our last night staying in the Chuck Wagon and what a pleasant surprise this has been! I'll be honest, I was a bit worried booking this after reading some of the reviews but I am so glad I didn't let my wife talk me out of it. First of all, the Chuck Wagon is great! I didn't realize that it had electricity AND heating...this really should be emphasized on their site. I was able to charge my phone using the USB outlets right by the bedside (which I thought was very convenient), and my wife was happy to see a small electric baseboard heater to keep her warm throughout the chilly nights. Everything in the wagon was clean, which was a worry of ours after reading some negative reviews. We actually stopped at Kmart when our flight arrived to get blankets and sheets. Turned out that was completely unnecessary because they provide you clean linens and a really warm comforter. The food, suprisingly, was really good. One of the best burgers I think I have ever had. I will admit, the service was a bit slow, they probably could use another waiter or two, but they were all very friendly to chat with and knowledgeable about the area. My only criticism would be the bathrooms (they could use some updating) and also the lighting by the chuck wagons (would be nice to have lighted posts by the wagon with the number under it...almost unzipped the wrong wagon one night!) Overall, great experience... will certainly come back with kids next time. Thanks for a great stay!
I booked a suite with private patio and view, what I got was some strange layout of a room with the bathroom in the hallway for $200.00 a night, that was nothing like what I had seen on line. The bathroom was in the hall between the living area and the bedroom, so if you want privacy you would have to lock your partner in one of the two rooms. The place smelt like sewer, we found rotten boiled eggs under the couch and outside it smelled like maybe an animal died under the building. the grounds outside was littered and unkept, the picnic table is on a side of a hill so you couldn't possible sit and eat at it, haha, I'm not making this up and it gets worse when checking out and asking if they possible gave us the wrong room compared to what we thought we had book and paid for and when telling the owner (very nicely I may add) about the smells and that we can hear every little peep or snore from the neighbors, he stood up and with a raised voice said "I'm not going to fight with you, this is a log cabin, if you want the Marriot then go stay at the Marriot". At this point we walked out with no thank you for your $400.00 or a concerning ear of the poor cleanliness. btw, they don't tell you on the web site that due to covid only one take out restaurant is available, not the advertised two restaurants and 2 bar establishment, so you'll need to bring your own food and drinks. The wifi is not good enough to stream a movie, so bring a book there is no TV or entertainment here at night. We did not try the outing activities, they are very nice I hear. Here are some pictures I took so you can see my view.
The food was great. The cafe/ bar was very cowboy like. The cowboy waiter/bartender was very patient and talked with us. The ranch had the most amazing view of the Teton Mountains. Good hospitality and reasonable prices.
Variety of different places to stay in cabins wagons tp's or the lodge. Horseback riding was great. They really make sure you get a horse for your level of riding and beautiful scenery!!
Exceptional evening on the ranch. Magnificent views of Grand Teton, dancing with the beautiful cowboys of the ranch, typical rooms of the American West. A real dream!
The stars are for the view. Cleaning incredibly poor, non existent. We stayed there for 3 nights without cleaning, garbage bags were not emptied. The hamburger was ok, the french fries cold and soft and the baked potato was several days old, all in all, inedible.
Please note that any reviews from prior years are now irrelevant, as Heart Six is under new ownership and management. We have stayed at Heart Six 4 times in the last 3 years (travelling from the UK), and loved it. Our boys consider it their favourite place in the world. How sad, then, that the new owners decided not to retain the Palmquist family, who were truly the heart and soul of the ranch. Like many of their loyal customers and staff, we will not be going back.
No coffee machine, insufficient heating, not enough space to keep stuff in the washrooms make this a below average lodging place. The location is wonderful though.
My wife and I just had our wedding at Heart Six last weekend. I grew up right down the street from Heart Six, and was very excited to be able to get married in the neighborhood that I was raised in! First off, let me start by saying that once we arrived, the staff was easy to deal with and friendly. The staff was very heard to get a hold of up until we arrived in person, and we had to constantly pressure them to get anything in writing. This was a constant stress for us, trying to plan the wedding. When we first signed on to get married here, there was a different owner. Since we put down our deposit, they went through a surprising amount of staff. We talked to two different chefs, and a number of different people in the front office. The original chef we talked with, we were very excited about! He made our meal sound amazing! The chef that ended up taking over....was not nearly as good. Our wedding food was the biggest disappointment of our wedding. We ended up paying $15 a plate over what we were originally quoted, and the food was not very good. All the items that were told to us as being "homemade" were very store bought and frozen. The actual venue itself, however, is beautiful!! The views, the rooms, and the area were very nice. We have no complaints about that! In summary, the food was a disappointment, but the venue was beautiful. We would recommend doing food through a different cater, or other means.
The service is pretty good and the rooms were pretty nice and comfortable, but I had two issues with this place. Since the hotel is right next to a swamp, there are SO much mosquitoes and it is really annoying because they follow you into your room and bite you all night. And the rooms don't have restrooms so you have to walk a bit to get to the restrooms. But the restrooms are well maintained and they have showers too.
The absolutely worst lodging experience of my life. We made a reservation for a family cabin a year ago knowing that it is peak season in this area. My girlfriends and I have spent a year excitedly making our plans and working overtime to pay for this trip. Three days ago I called to book some activities like horseback riding and rafting after receiving a final confirmation notice suggesting we do this in advance. I have a confirmation number and over $400 was taken out of my account when I made the reservation by phone directly with their front desk.
When we called already en route to our exciting week at Heart 6, at first they said they didn't have a reservation and then they did but it was for a much smaller cabin then we had reserved. They also were going to charge me an extra $50 a night for a horse that is traveling with me although no mention was made of this when I ask about a small corral to keep her in while we stayed in the cabin before we made our reservation.
Things went downhill from there. My girlfriend's arrived before I did and went to see our accommodations. They are not particularly fussy but said the place was filthy and shabby and entirely unacceptable. One of them spoke with the owner, who I have been trying to speak with for days and he would not return my call, and he told her face-to-face that if we did not like the room we could stay a day or two and leave. As we had no other options on places to stay at such short notice, and it was getting dark, we decided we would stay a night or two there while we looked for other accommodations.
I received a phone call from the front desk asking if we were still planning to stay there and I confirmed that we were but perhaps only for the night. A few minutes later I got a call from their manager Terry telling me that he cancelled the reservation. First he tried to tell me that they had not received my deposit but I was able to guide him to exactly when and where I paid for it so he dropped that line of bull. Then he cancelled the reservation and I told him we did not want to cancel the reservation. He told me the owner would not allow us to stay just one night even though he had already said we could. He refused to return my deposit and even THREATENED US WITH CHARGES OF TRESPASSING when I suggested we come and speak with them face-to-face.
This is the most unethical and illegal operation I can recall and certainly suggest no one ever stay there. I will of course be reporting this to the local Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and my credit card company. So instead of me and my friends enjoying a lovely evening at a beautiful Resort I am stuck with a horse at nightfall in a strange town and no place to keep her. My friends are in Jackson trying to find a room for the night. I cannot believe they think they're going to get away with this.
P.S. I finally had time to search my credit card records and apparently they did not charge my card as I stated previously. They had taken the number but not run the charge. Nonetheless, it speaks volumes that they had no intention of returning my deposit even though THEY cancelled our confirmed reservation with us literally 20 minutes away and saying we were on our way. My girlfriends were able to find a hotel room but I spent a sleepless night in my truck with my horse stuck in the trailer in an empty parking lot on the edge of Jackson. I'll add to this that someone at the front desk (I know their name but don't want to get them in trouble) let it slip that they were over-booked and that the new owner was staying in the cabin we had originally reserved. We ended up spending the week up near Cody and had a great time in spite of the unbelievably rude treatment we received from Heart 6.
Son of P.S. Heart 6 was banned from membership in the Wyoming Dude Ranch Association effective January 2019.
The attitudes of the people that work here were appalling.
We ate dinner at the Bronze Boot on the property. After waiting at the door to be seated, the first thing the only person working there said was "we don't usually have people this early". Not once did he say you're welcome, sometimes not responding at all. There were flies all over the restaurant we constantly had to block. The food was only ok, we were super nervous about the quality though, and the price outrageous. We were not warned that we would be charged a 15 percent gradituity for dinner. The service was so disappointing.
When we went to find our room, and there were no numbers on most doors. During our search, someone who I assume worked there, drove up on a four wheeler, went to his room, left the door open and was loudly complaining about a customer to whomever was in the room. Luckily someone else who worked there was in the building, and she showed us our room the had no number.
The next morning we really wanted coffee, we got 2 cups from the cafe on the property. The guy at the counter kept telling people "maybe you should learn to drink your coffee black". It was $9.98 for 2 coffees and again we were charged a 15% gradituity.
There was only a door between us and our neighbors. We were able to clearly hear their conversations. The beds were very creaky we were nervous they might break. The rooms only had 2 pillows on each bed. The shower head sprayed in every direction. The sink basin and toilet rocked when used. The blinds were missing the stick that opened and closed them, but they were open when we got there.
The overall attitude of this place really put a damper on our trip for that evening and morning. The cheap quality and minimal maintenance of the place made me feel like they didn't much care about the costumer's experience. It's just a money machine. I would not recommend it.
Cheapest place I could find. Service almost non existant. Room looks cosy, but you can hear your neighbors breathing. Nothing to sit on other than bed. Close to Grand Tetons, too far from Yellowstone.
Great location with fantastic views. Best paid trail ride I ve ever done. Katie, Wade, & the barn crew were accommodating & fun! Our Lodge room was really all we needed but felt as if it was used as a storage room. The drawers were filled with miscellaneous items. Comfy beds & clean. The two things I d suggest are; have a microwave & complimentary coffee available in the living room or table section of the lodge area. For $200 a night a complimentary cup of coffee in the lodge is a must in my book. Being able to reheat food from town would also be handy. Thanks for a fun couple of days!
Good place to stay over as long as you set your expectations correctly, it's a barebone camping place, with limited services. We enjoyed the stay style which is either a wagon, tent, or more luxurious cabins, only a few cabin styles have bathroom, others share toilets and showers. The staff are good and do what they can do to make you feel at home. The wagons get very cold at night and the baseboard heater is basically useless, there is a propane heater in room which is not working and even on requesting the staff to get it working was ignored so that was a bummer, we were prepared though with our own comforters and blankets, still woke up with swollen faces from cold in the mornings. They do have on site cafe and bars which are very expensive but do offer descent food. Views are amazing, it's a working ranch so you get to enjoy that if you pay for it, there is not much to do on the grounds other than enjoy the views, WiFi is sketchy in most areas. Overall it's a good experience but you can't enjoy it for a long duration, short stay for a night is good enough.
great place, very nice and peaceful. the stuff is friendly. huge entertainment room with TV and piano. but nothing is better than the views. highly recommend!
absolutely incredible. Great food at the cafe. Lovely staff and affordable lodging. You're missing out if you pass them up while looking for a place to stay out here. Will be back next year!
I gave them a 3 only due to the good customer service in the restaurant-despite some new employees looking somewhat uncomfortable. I get the rustic theme but for 250 dollars a night, I expected a strong wi fi to compensate for not having a TV. We could not stream over their weak wi fi. What was odd to us is our room had a combo dryer and washer. How is that being rustic? The counter had no washing detergent for people who actually wanted to wash clothes. And with no fridge in the room, we could not get ice since their ice machine broke down. Only the commercial ice maker worked and of course that cost money. To add insult to injury, our external door had a simple door knob. The dead bolt was removed! Are you kidding me! What kind of security is that for you and your family in todays unpredictable world. Under proper management, this could one of the greatest dude ranches in the country!
Loved this little set of cabins. The people were unbelievably friendly and the setting was beautiful. The bathrooms were falling apart a little bit, so don t expect anything too fancy. But overall it was warm and charming.
Well they tried to over change me....... By telling me my room was not paid.... But it was......with Expedia......then lied to Expedia about it.........
The service was some of the worst I've ever had. The employees were friendly enough but they hated their jobs and were very vocal about it. I saw them tell people they were out of food at the bar just because they couldn't understand them (they were Asian and didn't speak much English).
They call it roughing it, but it honestly just comes down to how cheap the owners are. That's what the employees say anyway. They are very understaffed and I can see why.
The room we stayed in was newly remodeled but it smelled very strongly of paint and other chemicals and that's because there is no vent, no fan nor any A/C to dissipate the smell and there were no bug screens on any of the windows, so without letting all of the mosquitos in we had to deal with it.
The back deck was literally falling off (see pictures) and there is clearly no one keeping up with the grounds. It truly is such a shame because this place has so much potential and the location is just perfect but as of now, I advise anyone that is thinking about staying here to stay far far away; It's way too over priced for what you receive.
Like living in a farm, there is a horse farm nearby. By the way, the breakfast in the living room is not for the tenant. He sent a breakfast coupon to the cafe next to him.
We had a beautiful sunny day for a horseback ride. Jay was our rangler and he was great at making everyone feel welcome and he was very accommodating and made time for enjoying the beauty and taking pictures. The scenery is breathtaking. The ride is kept interesting with the up and down hill climbs. This was our 6th trail ride and ranked at the top with our trail ride in Estes Park. Only thing missing was the wild animals, but that is not in their control.
Went on two hunting trips thru Heart Six and both were horrible experiences. I am an avid hunter and this outfit did not know what they were doing. Put our lives at danger on both trips. Dishonest and untrustworthy outfitter. DO NOT USE THEM. WARNING!
Had a great experience here. We had a minor hiccup having booked through trip advisor, our reservation wasn't "confirmed," however, they took care of us right away. We took a 2-hour ride, which was about right for a group with an eight, twelve, and thirteen year old.
While the scenery is wonderful and the horse run is very cool, there are a lot of issues here: lack of ADA amenities, not enough places to hang wet towels in the family cabins, no refrigeration so if you're diabetic or have anything that needs to keep cold forget it. Lack of: attention to detail, communication and customer service. Warning: no cash accepted; credit cards only for everything.
Charming, but overall dirty. The room was basic. There was no place where to hang clothes, nor bath towels. Not even shower curtain. Real pioneer life style. Position is convenient to visit Grand Teton National Park. Surroundings are beautiful.
This is a ROBBERY ranch not recommended. They charge you exorbitant fees. Not worth the money. SHOULD BE ZERO STAR! I demand a refund! And the lady who is in the check in staff is a racist!
Nice Staff, Good Breakfast and small but clean rooms. The place is perfect to reach Southern Yellowstone and Teton NP. Big fun especially when you travel with kids or like horses.
Use caution. We knew we we staying at a ranch. We knew there was no electricity and no heat. We were ok with that. What was disappointing was the fact that there were exactly 0 towels available for the 3 days we were there and the bathrooms were NEVER cleaned while we were there. The comforters provided were Amazon basics and were paper thin. We stayed the last week of June and FROZE with the blankets provided.
The service was very bad. The guy who was handling the reservation treated us like garbage. But the location is very nice, about 10-15 mins away from Tetons National Park. We rented a cabin, the heating was really bad. we couldn't feel our feet when we woke up in the morning. So, if you are planning to stay here, bring your own heater.
n what seems like a lifetime ago [1999], I took a new truck and 35 plus foot RV to the Buffalo River Valley, staying at the Grand Teton Park RV Resort for the last 2 weeks of May and another 1 or 2 in June. Got there while the grizzlies and elk were still down in the valleys. The insects had not yet emerged.
The sight seeing was amazing. The hiking trails off the pass west of Jackson Hole were still impassible due to the snow drifts where the sunlight was slow to penetrate. I carried both a bear whistle and spray.
But what I remember the most was the horse back riding starting from the Heart Six Ranch up into the Buffalo River National Forest on the mountains to the north paralleling the river and private road serving the ranches along that side of the valley. I had no previous riding experience, but negotiated a package of six rides approximately every other afternoon.
Usually three or four of us dudes with a wrangler / guide who was scouting the condition of the trails for the riding season to come went out for a couple of hours. Our wrangler taught us basic riding skills, and took us to most of the great valley overlooks. For me, the rides were the experiences of a lifetime because I came from a city in Michigan where I had neither the time to ride nor the access to stable horses.
We got the wrangler to talking while we were riding. He had abandoned the corporate life. [He had a doctorate or law degree in his past, but worked southern dude ranches in the winter, and came north in the summer.] One of his jobs was to supervise the younger [college student] wranglers in caring for the horses. Each summer's horse herd was different, depending on which horse rancher Heart Six contracted with for riding and draft horses for that season.
Reading the above reviews brought those experiences of a decade and a half ago back to life in my mind. Knowing that Heart Six is a purely commercial operation with different Work Kamper and other seasonal people each year, I can understand the range of experiences in the reviews.
We just got our rides in before their real dude season began. We were warned that if we had rides left, the scheduling would be per availability, with guests receiving priority, and the rides would be both much shorter, and with much larger groups. And he talked about how sometimes they were forced to use every available cabin on neighboring ranches to house all their guests, with the condition of those cabins being uncertain at best. Obviously, the full term guests get the best of the services and attention. And few or no activity slots remained at the end of a week session for the short termers.
Hopefully this information will help you make a more informed decision. Also remember that just up the highway to the east is the ten thousand foot plus Wind River Pass. With so few people living year round at this elevation, cell towers are as few and far between as their subscribers. You cannot expect good wifi reception when you're hanging out at a cabin miles from the wifi server. So bring your own cellphone modem if you absolutely need the access, but you will still have an intermittent signal because you are surrounded by big mountains populated by more wildlife than people.
This is a rustic, cozy ranch with down to earth people. The horses are great, food is delicious, and the view just beautiful. We spent 5 nights, and enjoyed every bit of our time. We're farmers, so we loved the laid back atmosphere. Our accomodations were adequate and comfortable, and right next to the cafe. Definitely try the huckleberry milkshakes!
The location is beautiful, the staff are overworked and stressed, and the new management seems interested only in maximizing profits. I'd rather have spent my money elsewhere.
We stayed here 7.5-7.7.2018 with our family which was about 12 people. I had made the reservations in advance about a month prior, we were quoted for two nights 1250.00 worked out to something around 279.00 each split four ways. I was quoted over the phone, my confirmation email did not state price. When we arrived the front desk man Armando said it came to 2084.00, and I said "What?" " NO" I am not making all my family pay more than what we were quoted. Than they sent for Terry. He is the owner, he took me to a back table and my husband came with us. Where he said go check in, and give me the reservation email, he snapped a photo and said he would give us the rate we were quoted. So we checked... we are in MORAY WY.. no where land, where everything is expensive and booked during this time. So we gambled.
Now when we checked in, we saw underwear in our room on the floor, which I removed, and a big empty water jug on the floor, which we left. Than we started putting things away and saw RAT OR MICE POOP IN THE DRAWERS. No biggie.. we just kept plugging through.. we still waited for Terry to come to our room and charge our cards and tell us the cost. He never showed up all weekend. Instead he would see us at the Dining hall, and say " Oh, I could not find your reservation but it came to about 2400-2500.00 and knocked off 800.00," which comes to like 1450.00. I said, " No it was 1200 something!" Later that night, I walked into our cabin room " Antelope" took off my shoes and felt a small tickle on my feet. I looked and saw from the light outside a small brown and white MOUSE OR RAT had crawled over my foot. I SCREAMED!@##@!! So than I ran outside. About 5 mins of me calming down, I realized I left my purse on the bed and braved it with my nephew to go get my purse. We turned on all the lights, and heard noises like crinkle sounds. Than my nephew went close to my purse, which the MOUSE jumped out and ran all over MY BED! Of Course I was screaming. Than my husband chased it and it ran everywhere until he caught it. I went immediately to tell TERRY... the whole front office acted like oh no big deal!
YES IT IS! IT IS UNSANITARY TO HAVE MOUSE RATS ON YOUR PROPERTY IN PEOPLES ROOMS... WHILE THEY SLEEP!!!!
We braved it another night BECAUSE I HAD TO FOR MY FAMILY!
We decided to check out as usual Terry charged us 1290.00. HE GAVE NO DISCOUNT FOR THE DANG MOUSE IN MY ROOM!
They have NO CLEANERS!
As we were leaving another lady and husband came in and wanted a refund for finding a MOUSE IN THEIR ROOM! Yes you heard me!
Terry said " No we don't give refunds for mice, were a ranch."
REALLY! By the way Terry did you check the water heater as you said. The water heater was FULL OF MICE POOPS! I should have took pics!
Horse ride was nice - wranglers talk to much Cafe is nice- over priced - but wait staff was nice. Views are beautiful.
BUT I WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN! Unless you want to SLEEP WITH FEAR AND POTENTIAL DISEASES!
This place was awesome! The room was huge! Comfortable beds, and a gigantic common living room with a fireplace, piano, lots of couches, a pool table, and a couple of computers! Beautiful views! A cafe within walking distance, with good food! Wish we were staying longer! During the summer this must be a fantastic stay with horseback riding, covered wagons to stay in, and did I mention they have dog sledding? This place was a gem! The downside: the heat was being repaired in the great common room (we still enjoyed it). The restaurant might have overcharged us, twice. Their is an 18% gratuity added into the cafe bill automatically. Overall a great place to stay near the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
I haven't been to the Heart Six in a few years but it is one of the best places in the Jackson area. The area is perfect for getting away from the overcrowding of Jackson in the summer. They have a great location and when I recently had an issue come up causing me to cancel my trip they worked with me to be accommodating to my situation and I can't wait to get a chance to come visit them again.
We, 2 guys who'd never ridden horses before, did the 2 hour horseback ride with Lauren and Lauren last week. They were amazing and despite never having ridden before, they got us up and down the mountain and by the end we were getting quite confident on our horses Riba and Skittles which they'd chosen for us. The views and scenery were amazing (and they took some great photos for us), they kept us safe and it was an absolute pleasure riding with them. 5* all the way! Thank you for everything.
We took the 2 hr horseback riding trail, and it was great! Monica and Becca were great guides and very helpful with my two kids (ages 9 & 8), who had never ridden before. Views were beautiful as well as the horses! Great place for families and newer riders.
1-sub par food quality 2-not enough help in the restaurants 3-restaurants/cafe always ran out of food or basics like coffee creamer , juice 4-coffee and hot chocolate probably the worst I have ever had 5-Room needs a fan(since there is no AC), towel holder 6-room walls are so thin I can hear everything from our neighbors!!!!
Place to stay. Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend. See the pictures of the disgusting shower and judge for yourself. Under construction during our stay. Were told at check in to use the stairs behind the office to walk up to our room. Later told by a man we shouldn't be doing that due to construction. Food is pricey. $15 for a breakfast burrito. No TV or free / complimentary breakfast. WIFI cut out. Guy at front desk is kinda rude. 15% gratitude charged to all food orders.
Had a great time horseback riding and the staff was very, very friendly. Horses were beautiful and well kept. The trail had some very scenic views and the guides were fun and informative. Not sure why people gave it poor reviews, but when in a place like this I think you have to know you're there for Mother Nature and to enjoy the outdoors...not wifi and such.
We booked a 4 night stay at Heart 6 Ranch September 9th-13th 2020. We had the worst experience ever the room and bathroom were filthy dirty and disgusting we could not get a good night's rest because of the ranch owner's contractor's partying and playing pool in the main lodge along with lot's of drinking, cussing etc. The Ranch owner Frank is extremely rude and very unprofessional the first night we checked in Frank was on a rampage in the front office spewing how is was going to fire employee's if things didn't change. We only stayed one night at the ranch and left on September 10th we heard and saw enough to know if was time to go. Since then we have disputed our credit card charge because Heart 6 Ranch will absolutely not refund our money for the other three nights we did not stay there. Also I would like to add you have to buy all of your food which is very costly their menu is not cheap a breakfast starts at $15.00. I would advise going to another ranch and avoiding Heart 6 Ranch all together.
Place was too loud... could hear people walking banging doors.. bathroom window was not covered with curtains and was just open. Heat was set too high and there was no way to turn off heat!!!
Wonderful trail guide! Horses were slow but once the guide knew we knew how to ride we had some fun cantering on the hills. The views are amazing! Temperatures in July were great!
Could be charming but they have missed the mark. It's expensive. They don't offer maid service, but they also don't have trash bins anywhere, it's next to impossible to get clean towels, there is not a refrigerator or microwave. There are no amenities... The cafe is filthy with the slowest service ever...people ordered and finally left without food. The man making milkshakes licked his fingers after scooping ice cream!!! The prices changed day to day and they didn't have basic supplies i.e. salad dressing. They also added gratuity on bill without disclosing. Many of the staff were crabby.
READ BEFORE YOU CONSIDER :If I could give this no stars at all I would. It is not worth the money. My wife and I spent two days there. Couldn't sleep. Had some one on each side of our room. On one side I could here this guy snoring all night. On the other side people talking through the walls. It was dirty, I happened to see something under the couch and it was a boiled egg with other food under there. Infront of the rooms as you drive in looked like a junk yard. The place smelled like a sewer. I talked to a worker there and was told we do get complaints about these rooms. This was told after we paid 400 dollars on the room which we couldn't get back. The rooms that was shown online wasn't the same room. I almost got in a fight with the owner after I told him about it. His response, this is a log cabin. Then he knocked on the side of the wall and said, see you are going to hear everything. As God as my Witness I'm not making this up. Please be careful before you waste your money.
Fully functioning ranch with high quality cabins, tipis, converted covered wagons to sleep in. Very unique place for your dude ranch vacation. The staff was not very knowledgeable except for a few returning workings, everyone else seemed to be new. A few issues with language barrier. Several staff members were Asian and not super great with English. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely make a return stay.
This place is a hidden gem. We slept in the covered wagons and had a blast. The view is spectacular and the horses are beautiful. Location is north of GTNP but totally worth it !! We will be back to participate in more activities at the ranch.
