The most striking impact of this building is the exterior contrast between the first floors, built before the 1929 crisis, and the vertical culmination projected by Norman Foster seven decades later. Access to the interior is restricted, but it is worth entering the lobby, which is spacious and bright.

I visited the Hearst Tower on business. I was first taken in by the architecture of the building, and then by the imposing waterfalls once I entered. While the offices are located at a higher level, several of what would have been the lower floors are taken up by water cascading down steps. It is pretty cool!

I came here to volunteer for a study. The security guard was friendly and allowed me to stay in the building until the appointment time. The building had a beautiful waterfall display in the main lobby. They do require a valid ID for entrance and call the related parties before you are allowed entry. The elevator banks had a different section for each floor. Each bank has two kiosks in the front where you can choose your floor. Also, there is a cafeteria available to pick up lunch or a drink.

A very controversial Norman Foster passing through his timeline ... Can you criticize? Gives! But I won't. It was an order, as my mother has said lately: "wrap and send". Within what was asked until it was very good! Paulo Mendes had a "similar" proposal to extend the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro. This project, in fact, is very depreciated by critics. Speaking is easier than doing ... Honestly, the live sensation does not cause so much discomfort. But it's hard to believe that the same person made the Reichstag Dome and the British Museum, oh, that's ...

Hearst Tower (2006)

Hearst Tower (2006)
The new tower by architect Norman Foster stands on top of an old Art Deco building to a height of forty-four floors, exteriotized by a glass skirt that encourages an idea of the tower floating weightlessly above the base. At the base of the tower, the main space module is a diaphanous hall that occupies the entire old building, six stories high. Like a bustling main square, this space provides access to all parts of the building. The uneven fountain present in this space manages to cool the building enormously.

Structurally, the tower has a triangular "box spring" - a highly efficient solution that uses 20 percent less steel than a conventional frame structure. With the corner cut back between the diagonals, maintaining the design of the Urban building, creating a different silhouette on the Manhattan skyline.

Great building and the natural light us amazing. Its very underrated how natural light in a working enviornment can benefit those who work in that building. The building inside is very well kept and tech savoy. The people who wirk there are very kind, helpful and are good at what they. Plus oprah comes to that building!

Beautiful lobby that honestly is worth looking at just for the beauty and design.

The building itself (you won't get past security of you don't have business here) is modern and well maintained.
