Very friendly, attentive, personal service, nothing too much trouble. Fabulous array of styles and ties to choose from. My son was spoilt for choice! Both trendy and classic in equal measure. Top quality merchandise in a loveky atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

I'm going to review the features within this store and then give my overall review. Starting with:



Services & Selections - There's a wide range of clothes and services provided in store. This is the biggest H&C store I've been to so far in London and they seem to have everything in here ranging from formal, casual to clothes for special events & occasions.

The members of staff who do the tailoring are very friendly and take the time to measure you up and ensure that the fit is to your liking. During my time in the store, a member of staff restarted all the pinning he was doing for my suit after having better understood the precise requirements I had. This is something I respect as it shows how dedicated the members of staff are to getting things done right and to the customers liking.

That being said, I was surprised to learn that you can't order online items in the store. You have to do that at your own leisure - so that was dissapointing, especially since most clothes stores have this feature.

Hygiene - The store is kept clean inside and out. Even the changing rooms are to a good standard. The clothes are also kept well racked according to their section and I don't recall seeing things out of place as you might in other stores.

Lighting - Hmmm.. when I initially tried on a suit I liked - I ended up leaving it because of how it looked in one the changing rooms. It wasn't until I was outside the store and saw the same suit on a manikin and in natural lighting, that I realised that I wanted the suit after all despite how it looked under the changing room lights. All this is to say it would help if the changing rooms all had consistently good lighting. This is because as good as the store and the clothes are, the lighting inside doesn't do them justice AT ALL.

Summary - This store is fantastic! I'd highly recommend it to you, my friends and my family. Lighting and online ordering aside, I rate this store a solid 8/10 - would buy from it again and again AND AGAIN.

Could be better. It is big and the staff are great but the selection is not very great.

Mad service. Everyone is helpful and sensitive and kind. Shirts are well priced and worth it for the seamless experience tbh. Cheers guys and girls, will be back.

Nice shop for all your suite shirts ties both for ladies and gentlemen. I have been buying from them for all the families for the last 20 years at Piccadilly west end central London.

I bought several shirts a few years ago And very happy with them in fact they wear so well I had the collars cut down a bit They the high back ones But now it s time to replace some I am 84 years now and still look for to being smart Thank you

Just picked up the suit I have bought last week due to it being left with the store's tailor.

Unfortunately, the trousers have NOT been tailored to my request, I was very specific about having them slim/tapered but the tailor has done a straight cut design. I also believe that the trousers have not been marked up properly by the sales person which led to this issue.

I wouldn't recommend this store because of the above.

Bought a 2nd blazer from this store, the alterations were wrong and had to come back, the assistant said he would talk to the manger and call me back. This never happened, as would not expect a cowboy job alteration from a back alley sweat shop. Spoke to Derek the Manger who is rude .It was like talking to tribal village idiot! Complete idiot . Going to the store 3 time and having to explain my situation time and again was not what I wanted to, I will never buy any time ever again from Hawes Curtis, you get better items and prices from Charles Tywitt, Give the Hawes Curtis store a miss all!

My loyalties mostly lie elsewhere when it comes to Jermyn Street shirts, and I'm a bit put off by the apparent ubiquity of Hawes and Curtis branches, but every now and again there's something specific I can't quite find anywhere else, so I come here. One recent example was an evening shirt - this was the only place I found the precise combination I was looking for of wing collar, marcella, slim fit, with dress studs, in my neck size and with the right sleeve length. I suppose that's a benefit of scale - a smaller company wouldn't be able to keep that many variations in stock.

Whilst my snobbier side may have qualms over their mass market appeal, if their shirts were good enough for Edward VIII, they must be good enough for me.

Friendly staff. Tried an example shirt, based on that we bought others. Just fine ;)

I have now bought several shirts and a jumper since Christmas and I am very impressed with quality, value and speedy delivery of the products, but most of all I love the fit, I wish I had discovered Hawes and Curtis years ago. David Dee

Big store and a very good selection of their shirts. Staff is generally friendly and I find service to be good. The quality of the shirts is OK and I like their range of styles.

Very good selection of clothes and prices. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, that being said it feels like they're constantly trying to sell you something. I think they just need to tone it down a little bit.

I visited once and bought a few items and they even gave me a nice discount, the second time it felt like speaking to car dealers with how they were trying to sell stuff across.

For the prices they charge it's better to wait for the sales, however that being said I bought a camel overcoat and within a couple of months the seams had frayed and the buttons fell off plus it was not very insulating. For the price paid I would say it isn't great quality.

My favourite experience was at summer when they tried to convince me that wearing a jacket would cool me down as it had 'air conditioning' properties, and was so light it just falls off you, and even demonstrated it by blowing a sleeve out of their hands. It was so entertaining the other staff laughed at their employee - presumably in complete disbelief he was trying this hard.

Personally I prefer T.M. Lewin, the sales staff are very helpful and don't feel like they're trying to sell you stuff so hard and also the quality between the two appear to be very similiar. I wouldn't return.

Great British brand with really high quality products.

Hawes & Curtis shirts look nice - but be careful. The quality is not always there any more. I am an ex-customer. I have been buying Hawes & Curtis shirts for the last 10 years. They were never great quality but the cut has always been very More

Avoid buying here. We purchased a suit for our wedding on 3 March and my husband didn't wear it till 27 April. In a matter of a day the suit was already pilling. Hawes & Curtis stands only on its longstanding name, not its quality. We politely reverted to the store, and they refused to either refund us or replace the suit pants. Our wedding was a 20 minute elopement, followed by a 4 hour photo shoot, my husband was hardly breaking it down on the dance floor. Suits are guaranteed up to 30 days, after that they will disintegrate.

That alone is 0 star worthy, I won't go into the experience of buying his suit shirt (separate appointment) where the assistant wrongly sized him and we had to return to get shirts of the right length. She was clearly not educated in how to, that or she wrongly selected the shirt from the wall. Either way we had to go back. Waste of time.

Amazing shop! Friendly, professional and helpful staff that takes time for you or leaves you alone when you don't want to get bothered. The style of shirts is great, shirts feel awesome and fit perfectly.

I like the shirts , ties and suits from this store / brand. I have quite a few already. They are a good quality make and have a good range of colours, styles and the staff are very knowledgeable at their profession. I even get a further discount in certain stores as I work for the NHS.

Good variety and friendly staff. BUT, be careful with the price. I bought a suit that was significantly cheaper online compared to the price I paid in the store. The staff told that the price was the same as online but it was not true.

This is definitely my favourite place where to get my shirts, waistcoats, brackets and a lot more! The team is always been very helpful and friendly! Love for Hawes and Curtis!

Came in here after awful customer service experiences across the road at CT and TM Lewin. The gentleman that helped me within seconds of walking through the door was courteous and experienced. I couldn't have asked for more. Happy with the quality of the shirts purchased. Will be back in the near future.

There is nothing better than finding a good tailor. If you re looking for expertise and a relaxed atmosphere then this store is perfect. I would hunt for the branch in particular and ask for Keith. He is amazing and his honesty is refreshing. Nice collection of suits too which always helps.

Service during a fitting for a wedding suit that was pretty paid wasn't fantastic. The shop is pleasant though and clothing of good quality.

Staff were friendly however we went to this store specifically to have my husbands wedding suit bought and tailored.
I thought they'd be able to do this with ease considering it's their expertise however they didn't tailor very well, measurements and alterations were wrong! It came back incomplete and despite the fact that i had paid for this service they asked me to sort it out myself with their tailor!
So Unhappy! They ruined this wedding suit experience for us.

Went to Hades & Curtis to get new suit found what i wanted right away with the help of the young assistant very helpful I know the place very well and will go again when I need to get other things the suit is fab!

Absolutely brilliant. After traipsing all up and down Regent St searching for a pair of shoes to fit a particular requirement i found the perfect set here. This is not to say that the shoe style wasn't available elsewhere but the quality wasn't the same of the cost was more than prohibitive. Ended up with a nice pair of Loake shoes

Best place to buy shirts when the sales are on, huge selection of sizes

Typical unpleasant London shopping experience. The SA Alicja is dismissive and cares little about her customers. She provided unpleasant and indefferent service and got me fitted randomly. Due to her terrible service I decided to return the suit the next day because I would prefer to visit the H&C shop in Tottenham Court Road or some other shops where the staff are more passionate. However, Alicja tried to stop me from doing it by lying that the suit had been sent to the tailor for alternations last night so the suit was not refundable. Hey! Do you think anyone would believe that your staff could still work after 7pm? It turned out that the suit was sent out just ten minutes ago. The manager there was nice, and he refunded the items.

Used to buy my shirts from here all the time online. Unfortunately my first time going in store was terrible and I think I'll buy from somewhere else instead now. Some of the worst customer service I've ever received and far worse than any of your competitors that day who were all exceptional especially suit supply and TM Lewin who I would recommend if you want to be treated like a human.

The short old guy working there was incredibly rude after I explained what I was looking for. Rather than saying "sorry we don't have anything like that, how about this.." or suggesting other places (as many of your competitors did that day as I was looking for something specific) he looked at me like I was dirt and then went on with a condescending attitude saying what I want doesn't exist and this is all you'll get etc and made me feel stupid. I tried adding more detail incase he had misunderstood but he wouldn't listen and continued to talk down to me so I eventually said forget it and left without looking at anything else in the shop.

What I wanted does exist and I eventually found it in one of your competitors shops.

WOMEN'S section is really amazing. Prices are very reasonable and quality seems VERY high. The men's shirts really aren't my thing, but the ladies section is full of imagination and creativity. My GF loved it.

Do not go to hawes & curtis jermyn street unless you are looking to get insulted by white members of the staff who are racist and quite happy throwing elitist and classist jabs at you. I had the misfortune of shopping at this store only a week ago and now am in process of returning the two suits and a tie i bought there. Because honestly i would feel dirty wearing a brand that does not respect diversity of skin color and backgrounds in its consumers. On comparison charles tyrwhitt store which is right opposite this hell hole is a much better option. I am never going to ahop with hawes and curtis again.

Terrible quality shirts. They do not last at all! I bought a minimum of 7 shirts from here. All of them ripped at the elbows within 4 months of usage. They were all alternated properly, washed according to instructions. I had another 7 shirts from various places such as Next and Zara and they are of a much better standard. How this brand is on Jermyn St and still receiving any customers is incomprehensible. I complained at an alternative branch, the Westfield Stratford store and was told by the manager on duty that I would need to visit Jermyn St again. A sales advisor there said I was measured incorrectly and that was the reason for the poor longevity. The incompetence proposed by the sales assistant was merely a cover up for the poor quality shirts. Colleagues at work have also said they have similar experiences with TM Lewin and they have come to accept it. DO NOT accept poor quality and switch to quality menswear alternatives such as M&S, Next, Zara, Mango. The customer service and quality at Hawes & Curtis is shocking.

A good menswear store with a great selection of shirts and a tailoring service

This is my shirt shop for few years now, they have never disappointed me. This was recent purchase, with good discount too. Staff always helpful and friendly. Love it!!!
