7-8-25 I unfortunately had a very bad experience today at Tullahoma, TN ER. I'm very sick and dehydrated so my doctor told me to go get labs and get fluids. I was the room getting fluids with my head thrombin whole body aching and just so sick and exhausted. My husband and I were waiting on doctor to come review results after nurse Chris said they were completed and for an hour had been listening to the nurses right outside the door sounding like they were having a staff party talking and laughing very loudly about their favorite alcoholic drinks etc. (about 6-8 of them) while me and other patients are suffering. I'd finished my fluids and just couldn't take any more cause my head was hurting so bad and aching all over and I had no call button so I went to the nurses desk and most scattered, but two so I said I'm sorry to ruin your party but I need my results and discharge papers cause I can suffer at home quietly and walked back to room. I did not yell or act hostile in any was just crying.

The Dr. Backstrom came in with an immediate attitude and asked what was going on thinking he would also think it was unprofessional I explained and then he started raising his voice to me shaking his head back and forth and had his hands balled into fists toward me! My husband finally spoke up and told him to get my discharge paperwork. The Dr. Started yelling louder and threatened to call security on him! I asked why he's not acted hostile in anyway or cussing at him. He yells that he's yelling at him and he's calling security.... my husband had every right to be upset the way he was treating me and still was not threatening this man or anything. He acted like a cocky teenage boy. I left worse than when I went in with my head hurting even worse, drained of all energy and having a bad panic attack which elevated my heart even worse. The report he has written is falsified and now I'm wondering if I am the only one he has done this to. I came in for help and was treated like I meant nothing.

I had a really bad fall when visiting a few days ago. The staff sent me out with a brace but didn't identify whether I had a sprain or break in my ankle. They took x Ray's and told me to call back to determine ththe severity. Every time I call back, the hospital answers and hangs up on me.

I have tried calling 10x and have been disregarded and hung up on just as much. I'm appalled and disheartened

Ijust left harton becuse the lady was rude in tri room she told me i should have gone to my doctor who is a hour away,i had feel and i have had a bad cough,she told me to pick on I have CANCER and been there many times and never treated that way ,Iknow they are very busy but she did not have a right to make me cry and feel bad for coming so I left ,.You have a great place to go when you are sick maybe she was having a bad day.I hope someone reads this

Tullahoma hospital doctor prescribed me cyclobenzaprine for a nerve problem in my back. I found out that when you have congestive heart failure are you are prescribed medication for heart failure such as carvedilol you're not supposed to take cyclobenzaprine. Does Tullahoma really do the research when they are prescribing medication I don't think they do because of Tullahoma hospital I wound up having to go to Winchester hospital where Winchester hospital took care of what I needed done and they explain to me why tell him the hospital should have not prescribed cyclobenzaprine to someone taking carvedilol. Doctors there at Tullahoma hospital do you research before you prescribe somebody medication or you're going to wind up killing somebody.

Emergency rooms are never the place one wants to be. However, I must say that the service I received was exceptional. The entire staff was very professional and knowledgeable. They were also very warm and personable. They definitely went the "extra mile" to make sure that I was very well cared for. Thank you so much for what you do!

Waited at the er for 4 and a half hours. Really sucks they don t even try to help doesn t look like they care. Will never come back.

I was was sent to Tennova for a STAT ultra sound. An hour after registration I was still waiting. They took several people back who came in after me. Also there was nobody at the desk in the waiting room where I was directed to go. So frustrating.

This is a joke for an ER. I went there with severe back pain and was given a prescription and told to see an outside doctor. No imaging or anything else. I have received better care from an urgent care facility.
As an addition I am receiving better care from St Louise clinic now than this hospital provided.

The staff in the woman s center are excellent.
Sadly cleanliness in the woman s bathroom was lacking, they were filthy.
In the handicap cubicle there was dried lose feces on the toilet bowl rim and black round the water level in toilet. The other two toilets had the same black ring round the toilet bowel.
This is extremely unexceptable in a hospital.since this hospital was bought by Tenovva the paper toilet seat covers are no longer available

My mother was brought in to the ER .after 4 1/2 hours we finally got word that they were going to admit her . 6 HOURS LATER we are still waiting in the ER......and still not being given any treatment.

Anytime you goto the E.R. your treated like an addict that is just there to get medications. They have a Pulmonologist Dr. Lang (That In My Opinion) does mercy killing of patients, because he got in my face outside of ICU and told me "By You Letting Her Live In This Condition Is Cruel And Unjust Punishment" like I have control like I'm God, but it sure made me think about his intentions and I complained to the Administration that did NOTHING! I'd rather goto Winchester anyday.

Place discriminates, and they're still as slow as they've always been, not even Vanderbilt can improve their ethics, I'd rather go to a veterinarian. (would rate 0 stars if possible)

Very rude staff at front desk. To long of a wait time especially if you are extremely sick.

I will not come here again. The RN bill an old man who admitted me was rude. I had a lot of fluid behind my ears and couldn t hear him. I even told him sorry sir before he got mad that I was having trouble hearing. He yelled at me and threw his pen down on the desk said he doesn t have time for this. What if someone really deaf or with special needs comes in and he s rude to them. I ended up having the flu and there was a lot of fluid behind my ears. The nurse and doctor were very nice.

I had surgery, all involved took excellent care of me.
I can t thank you all enough!!!!

Went in with blood pressure spike 190/108. Nothing done for BP sent home. To see a doctor at 2:30 in the morning. Sad to see a good hospital go so far down hill.

The staff when we arrived was friendly and courteous. They got us back quickly. My daughter was having abdominal pain for days. She went to the er in her town but they did nothing. So I told her to come here. I quickly realized that was a mistake. The er dr that came in was extremely rude. Even asked what we expect the er to do for her. Well what do u think we expect. To find out what's wrong. Did I mention my daughter is 15 weeks pregnant. Yep and this woman was being rude to us. I came here because every other time I was here in the past they were great. But this time they act as if I'm bothering them I guess from doing their job. I'm very upset and I can promise u I will not bring my kids or grandkids here. I wouldn't even bring my worst enemy here.

I was very impressed with all the staff at Tennova, the Dr's kept me updated on everything they was doing, and very polite and respectful to me and my family.

They shove u in a room and leave u with no call light nothing really so how are u supposed to call for help when needed

It s hard to leave a one star review because we ve recently had two interactions with this hospital. I guess I ll start with the best. We just had a baby there. This is our third and I have to to say this time was amazing. Mrs. Mable, Lola, Ivy, and Melissa was a few that I caught their name but their actions means so much more and all of the staff there in OB truly show how much they care about their job which leads to how they treat their patients. Thank you to everyone up there in OB that took care of mom and our baby girl.
Unfortunately now comes the bad. We had a family member come to the ER. I know for sure 4 hours went by and the patient never seen a nurse or anyone and this is after he s already in a room. The patient is diabetic so you can judge that lengthy time for yourself with having nothing to drink or eat. Of course during this time Covid-19 is always a worry. Of course this patient was around my kids last weekend due to us having our baby so we re extremely worried. They done a test that may take a few days to come back. Ok that s fine. Then he gets admitted/ transferred so they decide to do a rapid test. Made us feel better because we would know sooner. Test came back negative. Awesome because a positive would have been a huge game changer with our kids being around him. Later to only find out that a quarantine letter was given out for our kids (without contacting the parents)because of the test was still being waited on. So the questions come up as to why is the rapid test not good enough? Don t y all use those to test prior to surgeries? I don t see how you can put lives on hold to quarantine because one test is waiting and the other test is negative. I m sorry but this is just aggravating. I get it if there wasn t a test that wasn t negative but otherwise this just increases numbers that s not true. A number that for every time it increases just makes everything worse. Y all have to do better with this it s so easy for y all to set back and just quarantine people but lives, jobs, schools and everything is being put on hold when they shouldn t be.

Sat in the er waiting room over 3 hours with my 9 month old son who had been running a high fever , sat there over 3 hours , finally got back and everyone I came in contact with was extremely rude ! The radiology guy was especially rude !

I can't say enough good things about my treatment at Harton Regional Medical Center! I receive infusions which require outpatient care in the heart failure department. The nurses there are so amazing! They remember each thing about my care, they take time to know their patients and they truly care about the ones they are treating. My physician Dr. Johnson in pain management and his staff are also amazing. I travel from Clarksville for my treatments because this is the only hospital around that does these treatments in the area. I highly recommend seeking treatment here!

This place is a sorry excuse for a hospital. We brought my dad to the ER because he passed out. He is 81 yrs old they let him lay in the ER room for 4hrs. The so called Dr on call didn't come in the room to talk to us about his test nothing.They admitted him but they said he would have to wait for a bed. The Dr said there wasn't a room available. This place is a joke. I know the next time I'll go to Murfreesboro of Nashville.

I broke my hand and they xrayed it and then came in and told me it wasn't broke the next morning it had swollen twice the size so i went to have a second opinion at the Tullahoma hospital where they there told me it was broke and they did the same tests they are a joke there they think everyone is a drug seeker it sickens me

The worst hospital in the region. I believe this hospital was the cause of my husband's death. Too much delaudid. He was in renal failure. I was there Friday August 5,2016. I had to beg for him a potty chair. Had I not been there he would have been laying in a mess. I saw so much wrong doing the 13 days my husband was there. I walked in on August 7,2016 he was having a seizure. Door open to his room. Hippa violation. His nurse was at the nurses station playing in her hair doing nothing. I threw a fit. They rushed him to ICU. I'm so mad at myself for not moving him sooner. He ended up at St. Thomas and died August 17,2016. Dr.O was his kidney dr. I have never heard nothing from him as to what happened. I do know this, my husband walked in that hospital on July 28 with stomach pain.

They take forever! Been here for over an hour!!! Still waiting!!! This place is always slow like they could careless about your time or your emergency for that matter!!! Elderly lady been here longer than I & she looks very sick but they are in no rush as a matter of fact I think they went to lunch!!!

I was very pleased with everyone and everything.The staff and Drs were wonderful answered all my questions.

Other than having a bad day of detoxing and being strapped down like a dog everything else was okay

Ever since Tennova took over it seems that the quality of the hospital and care has significantly decreased. I had my first child there before they took over and it was great! My OB is wonderful but the hospital itself is terrible. It took the nurses over an hour and over 8 times to find the right spot for my IV with my second child. It was very painful and they finally had to get an ER nurse who was able to stick me the 1st time. Due to their lack of experience I was not able to be given an epidural like I wanted. I made peace with it and wanted music to help drown out my own screams while laboring. One of the nurses then came in and asked me to turn off my music which made me and my husband quite upset as you could hear me from the waiting room. The baby nurses were great but mine were not. My arms were severely bruised from all the needles and failed attempts.

A few months ago I brought my son to the Emergency Room. I was told that my insurance would not cover any of the visit and asked if I would rather pay now or wait for a bill. I'm glad I waited because insurance covered most of the visit! I was also billed for two separate things which I was not told about in advance. I've known this happening to many people who don't get reimbursed if they overpay. I miss having a great hospital in the area. I'm now going to have to decide if I want to keep my wonderful OB and have another terrible experience or move doctors to be at a better hospital.

EDIT: I attempted to call the number provided several times and left a message. I kept calling for about a month. It seems like no one is there to answer. Just something to put in response to negative reviews to make it look like they care about the stated issues. So disappointing.

My first experience with Tennova was a few days before Christmas. I was having a severe and rare type of heart attack. We were impressed with the exceptional care I received every step of the way. From the ER techs, nurses and doctors (Drs. Faour and Gupta) who got me into the cath lab in less than 15 minutes, to the cath lab nurses and doctor (Dr. Ramya) who performed a very difficult procedure with precision, to the ICU nurses, techs and doctor, to the food service workers to the room cleaners to the 2nd floor nurses my second night there. I was treated with urgency, respect, and kindness by everyone I encountered. Facility was clean, cardiologists and regular practitioner were top notch, nurses were compassionate and attentive and the hospital food was even good! This was the 6th hospitalization event in my life and was my most pleasant despite the circumstances. We are fortunate to have a hospital like Tennova nearby, and although we live closer to another facility, we feel blessed that we chose Tennova during my emergency.

I used to have great pride in the service my family received from this hospital but since tennova took it over the service really disappointing. Everyone around here knows that if your really needing help medically to stay away from shelbyville tn hospital because it just a place to go and die huge morgue sadly Harton has gotten same reputation , it said that just good hospital has went down hill so quickly .Would give 0 stars but had to choose at least a 1 star review.

Was in ER on Friday 09/13 for caution with heart issues. The ER staff was great the admission staff was lacking in the ability to get me moved to a room upstairs in a timely manner. Spent 8 hours in the ER without any lunch or dinner. After I was admitted still no food or drink wife made arrangement for food.
The charge nurse Michael did a good job. Stayed extra hours in the ER for nothing. Getting discharged from the hospital is even more of a nightmare. Over a 2 hour wait to get discharged is ridiculous. Rooms also need attention and maintenance.

All they care about is money... they suck! Don't go there.

Even during flu season with an overworked staff, I received excellent care during my recent stay! Everyone was highly professional and extremely helpful and patient.

I have to brag on the nurses in labor and delivery. This is our third kid we've had in this hospital and it has been pleasant every time but, this group of nurses we had this time have been absolutely amazing. You can really tell they aren't just here to get a pay check they really care for you and your baby. Thank you ladies for all you do. I also want to give a shout out to Jeremy, the student that was with us the majority of the time, He was very helpful with checking on my wife and extremely respectful. Again I can't thank you all enough for what you do.

Megan the labor and delivery nurse (12/4/20 c-section at 11:30am) went above and beyond and was extremely nice and professional!! Made my second experience delivering at the hospital an enjoyable one for sure!!

Went here to get my tubes cut, the staff here provided excellent care, Dr. Jan C, was professional and warm hearted at the same time. They made me feel comfortable and eased my nerves about the HUGE decision.

Incompetent, could not get an I.V. started after 7 sticks. Also the Tullahoma Physicians group need to work on their billing system and not send huge bills to people who have great insurance that only requires $150 for an ER visit. I am always fighting with them.

Rude doctor and than gave me meds that could throw me into a heart attack and didnt care

So my daughter cut a chunk out of her eye lifting a bag of dog food. Took her in the the ER at Tennova Tullahoma. I told the doctor what happen. He looks at my daughter eye and turns around in a very monotone almost in a mocking way and said " yep she took a chunk out of her eye" and then stood there for a few seconds staring at me. So then I had to ask " So what is going to happen now?" They did not clean it or do anything for it. I finally ask about numbing it since she has migraine and the trobbing in the eye was causing her to have a headache. They put one drop in her eye and then he said that he was just going to give her antibiotics to take to keep her eye from getting infected. Out of this visit, not only did it just cost me copays, but also charge my insurance for a visit that the only thing I could not do for her was write the prescription myself.. Very unhappy with this visit.

Wonderful, skilled, caring nursing staff. A change in management and perception is needed.

When I was in labor with my daughter there the nurse told me that if I didn't get my pain under control she wasn't going to order me an epidural. My daughter was a breeched birth. My Dr and I had many conversations about the delivery and he made me feel safe but the day of the other Dr was on call. The nurses were so mean to me. It was a terrible experience. They accused me of being on drugs because she cried when she wasn't with me. It was one of the most hurtfull experiences of my life.

I've heard a few people dissing the hospital my experience there however and I'd have over 16 operations and cancer for five times I've been in many hospitals including a couple of military hospitals the nurses at your hospital not only warm and friendly they were caring the minute I said something was wrong or something didn't feel right they were immediately on it didn't have to tell them twice or wait

Let me start by saying that the care I received by the ER staff and Women's Center was absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for better care!

However, I can only give them ONE star because they didn't file my insurance properly and are now coming after me for the entire cost of my stay. I received a bill of around $2500 owed and I started paying $25/month. For three months, they accepted my payments without any issues. Then I received a letter from a collections agency saying I still owed the $2500. They never sent records of my payments to them. Luckily, I saved PDF copies of my receipts. The collections agency then turned around and sent me a bill for $126k alleging that nothing was paid - not even by the insurance company. I have two insurances and one has an EOB with a ZERO balance while the other says $2955. After speaking with both insurance companies, they said the hospital didn't code nor file the insurance properly. If they would re-file with the proper codes, this would be taken care of. I called to explain and they were exceptionally RUDE and hateful. I don't have a problem paying what I owe but I am NOT going to pay for THEIR screw up!

I recently had surgery in Tullahoma, TN at Harton Hospital which is a part of Tennova Healthcare. My PLIF went smoothly and was successful. Everyone who helped me was professional, efficient and kind from the nurses to nutrition services and housekeeping. My room was kept clean at all times and all of my needs were met in an efficient and timely manner. Dr. Emadian, his team and the nursing staff at Harton Hospital are exceptional in all areas and I am happy to recommend them. Thank you all.

Been sitting since 10:21 for a stat x ray waiting over 2 hours and still not getting seen this is very upsetting to us my husband can not sit without help getting up and down as of now he has been standing on weakness of the legs

I went to Harton and passed up 2 other emergency rooms for better care. I live in Altamont and was having an acute biliary colic attack. I was throwing up and in as much pain as a human should go through when I walked in this emergency room. There was 2 heavy set ladies at the front desk and would look at each other as I was throwing up on myself and in horrid pain. they didn't even give me a puke bucket. And what's worse than that I was rolling begging them to get me some relief they sat there and looked at each other instead of helping me. I called the emergency room director the following day and left a message he never would even return my call. After 45 minutes and puking all over their floor a lady came and got me. I will never go back there . I wasn't there for drugs and asked for no narcotics and they treated me like an animal and not one person was in that emergency room but me .

Had to go to Dr on April 5th 2018 because I injured my foot. My doctor, Mary Ruth Hamilton was rude. She was examining my foot and then she squeezed the very swollen part of my ankle, I yelled because obviously it hurt and she looks at me and says " That's not nessecery". I said sorry but it hurt. She said yes but no need for that. This is not the first time I've had her for an er Dr and its not the first time she said this to me. That to me is very unprofessional and just poor bedside manner for a dr

Horrible!!! Excruciating kidney stone pain for hours. Getting sick. Nobody even checked on me for 2 and a half hours. Not a soul. As soon as I got the pain meds the pain was gone that quick!!! No compassion at all!! Then to top it off I have to pay $500 over the almost $10,000 my insurance already paid plus the $125 I already paid for my deductible. I felt hounded for the money though They were in No big hurry to help me!! Other hospitals are cheaper and nicer!! Heritage in Shelbyville is awesome!!!!! Kim Beaver

I had the best care and the best doctor and the best team for for my back surgery .

I was admitted here when I was very sick. The Drs. and nurses worked great together .Team work! I would recommend this hospital for the best of care.

Er admission people are beyond rude. Ive sat here for 3 hours and im disgusted. They have masks here but are making elderly walk outside to get masks. More worried about getting off work than helping people.

I just want to say how thankful I am for the labor and delivery room doctors and nurses at this hospital! They have taken such great care of my sister while in labor and during her delivery and there after! The team of professionals we had have been phenomenal! They truly are amazing and kind people!! Keep up the great work you all are doing helping new mothers everywhere delivering safely! Yall have been a blessing in disguise for her and her newborn!

Was looking for a hospital to go to that wouldn't judge me cause of my back pain (thinking I'm pill searching) but was on there website reading a few things, then relized exactly how much was misspelled!
I'm not going to a hospital who can't spell severe pain!! Sorry found another hospital.

By far the worst ER I have ever been to. No sense of urgency whatsoever. If you have an emergency, you re probably better off driving to the next town over and going to their ER...

My wife/ mother of our WEEK OLD child goes in there at 8pm with a 103.8 fever
Sent home 5 hours later with NOTHING
Tested her for the flu, UTI, and blood test for sepsis I guess?!?! gave her NO ANSWERS AT ALL
Took 4 vials of her blood
Sent her home WITH A FEVER, PALE, and SHAKING.

I'm no doctor but I'd say perhaps an infection ???
However no antibiotics were prescribed and no steps were made to correct the issue.
Will NEVER return. I am gonna take care of her through the night and miss work tomorrow to drive her to the next closest hospital.

My husband was there for a very serious ear infection to the point his ear was swollen shut. His symptoms started two days ago 8/16/18 and was unable to get off work until today to go to a Dr. The provider Sharon proceeded to tell him "since you waited to be treated until today you don't have any reason to complain about pain". I found this very unprofessional esp since he was treated previously for the same thing and that experience was exceedingly better than this one .Oh and he wasn't asking for a narcotic he was asking for some ear drops to numb the pain. I wouldn't recommend her as a provider for anyone. I think she needs to apologize for her unprofessional treatment

My son was in a car accident and taken here by ambulance. This is the rudest hospital I've even been to. When my son ( who's still in high school) called me to let me know what happened the nurse told him he need to hang up right then cause she needed to talk to me. I still didn't know what was going on myself so of course I'm in a panic when he hangs up. When I drove the hour to get there I was greeted with very rude staff. My son had been asking for water and they wouldn't give him any. He was in a lot of pain but they wouldn't even give him a Tylenol and they wouldn't give him a note to miss school tomorrow. I will never use this hospital again. Just aweful!

After hurting for 3 to 4 days from a horrible boil. The size of a golf ball!!! I decided to come here. The doctor came in, looked at it, and literally said cellulitis, and take these antibiotics. That was it. I told the gentleman I just wanted it gone. Never said what to do if it worsens or nothing. 2 days later with a fever and throwing up everywhere. I had to travel 45 minutes to another hospital. First thing asked is did they lance it. I told them what happened and what he did. They said normally do that but with the severity of mine. Should have been done no hesistation. 3 doctors came in to tell me I was done wrong and whoever saw me did not do his job. Horrible care and professionalism. I would fly my dying child to Murfreesboro before going back in there. Disgusts me people should go there when they are in need of medical attention.

My nursing care was good. I found the majority of care givers very kind and professional. My only real complaint is about the food. Some of the meals taste like they were not freshly cooked. The main courses seemed to be pre-prepare they looked beautiful but were not tasty. It seem to be operated in a way to serve meals economically by paying the least and using as few staff as possible. Salads seem to be 1 degree below freezing so cold they were unappetizing. I ate the cooked vegetables, fruit and the side salad from the grill. I drank an ensure shake and ate yogurt as often as I could get it. The main thing was that the food was not handled in a loving way and it shows in the taste.

Terrible assistance With the ladies in the er desktop. Ive been waiting for Hours to get my medication I left here 3 days ago, and I have a hungry newborn in the car with my husband. Still not hurrying up just to walk to the office lock room to get my medication and come right back out. How hard is that? I wish I could put 0 stars. 2 hours later and still nothing, but sitting down in the er.

Had a severe kidney infection and borderline sepsis. Got treated quickly, got antibiotics, getting well. The entire staff was professional and polite I would highly recommend.

So back in November of 2017 hit a deer and my air bag went off ,went to ER to get xray and the doctor asked if I was taking care of the mass on my left lung, well I was dumbfounded. But apparently it was on an xray I had done here as well. It had grown 3 times the size. I ended up needing 3/4 of my left lung removed, cancer free NOW. Went Tuesday because with that I do have lung issues pleurisy being one, I waited over an hour to see dr and she tried doing blood work and treatment for cardiac issues and pulmonary embolism which I did not have. I knew what I had. Finally did xray and she comes back and says my LUNGS (plural) were fine. I was like oh really cause I dont have most of my left one. I walked the hell out. Seen my dr 2 days later guess what pleurisy. If it was cardiac I would've died waiting over an hour to see them. These dr really need to listen to people we know our bodies best instead of trying to take in the cash

My mama was in the hospital and I asked her doctor to fill out my FMLA forms and she refused. She said that she will write me a note for work. I need my absences covered by FMLA not a note. I had the nurse to contact the hospital supervisor of the hospital.

Very kind nurses this go round. Understood I was in pain, got me treatment quickly and efficiently.

Had my baby girl here two days ago and I couldn't be more pleased with the labor and delivery department. Every single nurse was beyond amazing. They were respectful, kind, and more than helpful. I was scared after hearing other women's experiences with being mistreated all over the country, but as soon as I was admitted all my fears vanished and I knew I was in good hands. I couldn't imagine a better hospital or team to take care of me and my baby. They respected my wishes, made sure I had everything I needed, and helped me to the best of their abilities. I would rate them 100 stars if I could and I highly recommend mothers come here for an amazing delivery experience. Thank you to all the nurses that took care of us, we appreciate you so much and wish we could do something nice for all of you! Will definitely come back if we ever decide to have another child!

Rude nurses and clueless doctor. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time they wouldn't give me a flu or strep test. I went to my regular doctor the day after. Positive with flu. I only went here because I was 5 minutes away and was in and out of consciousness. 1 star is too much. Never again.

My daughter went to the ER between 6 and 7 on a Sunday morning, diagnosed with appendicitis and should've been taken immediately to surgery but surgery wasn't performed until 2:00 pm. Her appendix were already leaking by that time which caused problems for her. She was in the hospital for 6 days with high white cell count, severe pain, and fever. They sent her home on Saturday, still in a lot of pain and with a low grade fever. On Sunday she went back to the ER for the pain and was given some pain pills and sent home after being told, "well, it's gonna hurt." On Monday she started running a high fever and called the doctor's office and was told to go back to the ER. He met her there and they did a CT scan and found that she had an abscess in her abdomen. She had another emergency surgery that night and spent another week in the hospital. After being home for less than two weeks she made another trip to the ER for pain. They did another CT scan and the abscess is still there. They gave her antibiotics thinking that will get rid of it. In my opinion, if they had taken her to surgery as soon as they diagnosed her, things would've been different. They waited so long that she started to rupture. If the antibiotics doesn't take care of the abscess, that means another surgery. If that happens, I will do everything in my power to keep her from going back there. Aside from all that, their cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. There were bugs (dead and alive) all over the floors. They were in the rooms and in the halls. My daughter had to knock some off her bed at times.

Im going to be up front, I have extreme psiactica and obviosiously unemployed and thats a very short version. I went to this hospital only because of extreme abdominal pain. Turned out to be acute pancreatitis. Ill say now I dont have insurance. I was in dangerously bad shape as in I could literally die without care. I couldnt eat for 4 days couldnt drink either. When I could drink it was constant large ice water.despite literally gallons of ice water a day I would urinate drops only despite the quatity intook. All i could do is sleep, my body was in serious crisis, after 6 days of this my assigned Dr entered my room one morning just as my nurse was about to administer my morning pain meds. She became intensely beligerant about how I needed to go home and how Im not going to fully recover while Im there and need to go home. Nobody ever approached me about leaving before that day. She told the nurse not to adminsister my medicationand to dispose of it. I was billed for this unadministered meds which I feel she shouldve been billed for. Ive never felt so astonishingly disrespected and margenalized in my entire life.... I dont treat the ER lightly, I treat it as the amazingly expensive price that it is and will only go there when things are dire. Nurse staff were far and beyond amazing, I had a telemetary problem with that thing they attach to monitor life signs and they were concerned about sleep apnea, There was a nurse with personal concern who chose to stand in my room while I slept without my knowledge who observed me stop breathing for 15 seconds. Thats scary but this nurse was concerned as a human being enough to do that where my Dr had absolutely no concern whatsoever. Avoid this hospital it already has a very bad reputation even with insurance

Been here since 1:28 did urine test and bloocd test just to get a perscription for a friend. Have not heard a thang for 2 hours, could have gone to Franklin,tn and got thangs done quicker.
No one has been back in

How do I make a complaint against this hospital? I am pregnant. They cant find a heartbeat. All they did was a urine test and sending me home. I am worried that I am losing my baby and they are not doing anything about it.

I went in due to passing out (from low iron) and they took blood dr finally came in and told me I had sinus infection and discharge me.(that was last week) I went in today due to passing out once again and a migraine I ve had for few weeks they tested my pee then discharge me with papers on epilepsy (I told them nothing about my epilepsy) so they just looked at my medical history and told me to follow up with pcp

They do not have the intelligence to save anyone, run run run.

If you owe Tennova a dime, expect to get sued for it.
When they bought out Harton (along with several other regional hospitals), they filed suits against anyone they could.
The shame is that money must go straight to corporate, because these hospitals are poorly run and falling apart.

Was in E/R and hospital 3 times in the last three weeks. First time in E/R was very good! Everyone very helpful and was admitted to hospital. Had to go again the next week. That visit was in the evening and I was not happy with the service I received. Was admitted again the next week and all doctor's and nurses were excellent!

The front desk lady in the emergency entrance was super super rude and just had a bad attitude all together.

Horrible horrible horrible hospital I will never go back here again. My 5 year old daughter had got diagnosed with the flu 3 days before I took her here and I had taken her here because her fever had rose to 105 even with Tylenol and Motrin well the er dr was asking why I even brought her her fever needed to be atleast 106-107 before you should worry so I took her to her regular dr a couple days later and they told me that they shouldn t have just sent her home that she could of had a seizure with her fever so high then come to find out she had pneumonia smh so no this hospital is the worst hospital with the worst doctors. Never again

I was taking by ambulance with 103 degree fever no fluids were administered not even a call light was near my bed.. I had to literally call it for help i was so weak.. I was there from 8 pm until 2 am in seen the Dr once and the nurses were all very rude.. I ended up driving myself to Murfreesboro where I was admitted and treated with dignity.. I will never go back to this hospital again.. They need to close it down or teach their staff compassion...

This hospital is a complete joke. I have been in several times and each time is worse. 1st time my wife s finger was swelling and a ring had to be cut off the doctor goes right through the top and after 15 minutes said what is this thing made of and I said diamond why don t you cut through the gold on the bottom and he laughed and said oh I thought it was fake then went to the bottom and the blade went right through, then proceeded to throw her wedding ring away and when I asked where it was he said oh you want it back I really thought it was a fake. not sure how he got through med school. My second issue had to do with billing we went in for blood work after the doctor sent us to them got a bill for $40 and paid it. 3 years later get a call from collections collecting on a bill harton never sent to me and am told they will ruin my credit score if I don t pay it. Call my insurance which tells me they denied it originally because the hospital submitted the charges under the wrong codes but with them taking three years to attempt to collect I was outside of the timeframe to dispute charges. Anytime I need an ER now I drive all the way to Murfreesboro to find a competent doctor and facility. I would rather die trying to drive to Murfreesboro then wind up in this ER ever again. I wouldn t trust them to remove a splinter from my finger.

So very pleased with the care provided for my mother at Harton Hospital! The ER staff were efficient and thorough. The attending physicians and nurses were most professional . From the time we walked in until the time she was dismissed was the most pleasant hospital experience one could expect. I have had big city hospital visits that cannot compare to the respectful and compassionate care we received at Harton!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the treatment my good friend received yesterday evening. She took a pretty big fall at the waterfalls yesterday afternoon and had to be rushed to the E.R. in order to have her ankle looked at. After the doctor came to see her, he explained to her that he couldn't even read the X-Ray and that she should be fine. Then he proceeded to tell her to take Tylenol and that her pain level shouldn't be as bad as she is describing after looking at her X-Rays. Again, this is after he said that he couldn't "READ" her X-Rays.

Down the hall, she also told me that she overheard this same doctor explain to a man that he shouldn't have came to the hospital seeking treatment since he was a "DNR."

In my opinion, this type of behavior is unbecoming of anyone in the medical field. They don't have to worry about us ever returning. We are currently having to set up another visit to a specialist who can ACTUALLY read X-Rays because my good friend is still in serious pain from her injury yesterday.

Great nurses and doctors my husband's been admitted 3 days now and still here they are the sweetest people the nurses check on him regularly and make sure he's not in pain they come in and check on him and me if he hits the call button they are in here super fast I was recommend this hospital to anyone way nicer than any other hospitals I've been to

I know that in a true emergency you don't have much of a choice which hospital you go to. If it can wait a 30-45 minute drive, go to Murfreesboro. If it can wait a little longer go to Franklin or Smyrna. The drive is worth the competency. This ER is the worst one I've ever encountered. The staff is rude, the doctors are rude, the nurses are rude. Don't you dare go tell them what's wrong with you or ask for paperwork from your tests so you can read them yourselves either (which I highly recommend because they will only read what they want and leave out life saving details). Especially if you are a woman and having female related issues, go straight to smyrna or frankin. Womens healthcare is so bad, but here it's even worse.

My husband calls me to come get him cause they r releasing him i get there and all i hear the nurse complain cause she has to do her job. Then I sit here for 45 min waiting on them to discharge him. To much to say

My husband got sick on 7/16/19 and I was taking him to see a Doctor in Winchester when he started hyperventilating and not able to speak I ended up going to the emergency room at Harton.The on-call Doctor was OK but seemed to not be concerned about my husband. The second doctor was even worse and said his office would set up a MRI and call us with date and time. My husband has a problem with small enclosed areas so he need to sedated to do test. After waiting 2 days still no call from the second Doctor. If you love your family and are in need of help don't use this hospital. The medical records office person is rude and not helpful when you need information and how to send it to another Doctor. The nurses and the check in/out personal were very nice but the people who you place the most trusted in are not.

My mom was admitted into the hospital with the COVID-19 going on she wasn t allowed any visitors and she was very well taken care of I called several times and they were all very nice to me and my family every time we called thank you all so much for taking care of my mom and the family as well I would give you an A plus plus rating
