First, i understand its about the all mighty dollar, but a good customer/salemen relationship goes a long way for a continued customer return to spend more.
My boyfriend and I, purchased a 2019 Harley from these gentlemen that work for Harley. The salesman was very knowledgeable, but the hair and appearance left something to be desired. First I was promised a cupholder for the rear seat at the time of purchase, then when my boyfriend went back for the 1st required service, he told me they treated him like he was a second class citizen, as though they had never met us or him. Now as much money that we have spent and were planning on spending more, but not now. Especially since they never provided us with that damn cup holder, lol.
Horrible sales team!!! I went to Baton Rouge Harley to test ride a 2018 Softail. I was not allowed a test ride. The Salesman seamed to be off in space and not paying attention to the conversation we were having. I told him I wanted to trade a Breakout and a Sportster 48. He said if I had the VIN he could get me a trade value for both bikes. After I gave the VIN he told me to wait. After 20 minutes I left the dealership with no trade values. The following day they want to come pick up my bikes. NO TRADE VALUES NO PRICE AND NO DECISION FROM MYSELF TO PURCHASE. I have 25 poker chips from dealerships all over America and have had every dealer beg me to test ride a new Harley ( I refuse most of the time cause if I ride it I buy it). THIS IS THE ONLY DEALER THAT HAS EVER REFUSED TO ALLOW ME A TEST RIDE. The Sales team should educate themselves before they approach a customer. Sad when the customers know more about the new bikes than the sales person. SALES TEAM NOTE ( YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE 2018 SPECS ON HARLEY DAVIDSONS WEBSITE) These people just want you to walk in and buy the bike they were absolutely USELESS!!! when it comes to educating the consumer about new products. In the last 2 years I have purchased I a Street Glide, Breakout and a Sportster. My Brother has Purchased a Road Glide and a Street Bob. We will stick with Cajun Harley Davidson in Lafayette and Taboo in Alexandria!!! So far this has been the worst dealer experience I have had. Every time I walk in this place they have new sales people. If you look online you will see a lot of non Harley riders talking about the Bad Attitude of Harley dealers. NOTE TO CORPORATE ( If you want to sale bikes to people make sure your dealers assist customers. They should send corporate people to pose as customers and see the truth about what is killing Harley Sales!!! The Best Bikes in the world won't sale with poor service. This place is like an shady auto dealer. You get jumped on as soon as you get in the door by someone who has no clue what he is doing and if the conversation gets close to a purchase they bring over the sales manager. I just simply want to purchase a bike without getting the run around. (((Here is my 1 year update : Shortly after writing this I purchased a 2018 Heritage 114 from Cajun Harley Davidson!!! I have since installed many upgrades including the tour pack and Stage 2 Power Cam. This bike is really fun now nimble and a blast to ride. The only problem is getting traction!!! ))) ((( I just purchased a 2019 Street Glide Special again from Cajun Harley Davidson!!! I have installed $4000 in upgrades already including lowers, Bars, Grips, Stage 2 Torque Cam and too many other items to list. This bike is still in the break in period so I can not comment on the cam results yet other than the 114 pulls very well at low rpm. A huge improvement over my 2015 Street Glide Special that I traded in. This is now my 5th Harley. First one was a 2013 Breakout from Bayou Country Harley. I got a pretty got deal on that bike but I have since not been able to get anywhere close to a reasonable price from them on my next 4 bikes. It was $9000 difference on my Heritage. Since then all 4 bikes I purchased were from Cajun Harley Davidson. a 2013 Sportster 48 ( Awesome Bike Very Fun ). A 2015 Street Glide ( Great Bike I put over 35,000 miles all over the rocky mountains on this bike) My 2018 Heritage and my 2019 Street Glide Special that I still have. While I tried to work with Baton Rouge Harley thinking they have a great inventory and being from a larger city they should be a volume dealer things just haven't worked out that way. Your results may vary do your own research. I always look around before I purchase and you should too. I am even open to the new Indian Chieftains. They have much better ride quality than my Street Glide. If indian offered better trade values on used Harley's thats what I would be riding now. Time for a frame upgrade Harley!!!
Can't say enough about how pleasant and easy Baton Rouge Harley Davidson made this purchase. No BS back and forth games between sales and management. No BS additional charges or scams. Straight up honesty and great customer service. It is the only time I've ever walked out of a dealership of any kind (even after getting the deal I wanted) without wanting to throat punch someone. The next bike I buy.....there is no question it will be with Baton Rouge Harley.
I usually don t write reviews but this was worth sharing. I wanted to order a part so I called and spoke with someone in parts. This person informed me about the part and never once said this would be a final sale item. I thought just like anywhere else you buy parts you would be able to return an unused item with the original receipt. I ended up not needing the part and tried to return it and they would not accept it. It frustrates me that no one ever warned me before I purchased the part that it would be a final sale and if for some reason I did not need it or got the wrong thing, I could not return it!! I was planning on buying other parts and accessories from here but now this inconvenience has changed my mind. It would be one thing if it was a $50 part, but it was over $260 for this part. Once again, you would think they would work with you for the fact that they did not state that the part you are fixing to buy is non refundable. Pathetic.
stopped in your store while on vacation from Indiana ...awesome!!! will definitely visit again!!! cashier was Stacy Bruce...thank you for your friendly service :)
I attempted to purchase a bike from this dealership. I had went through the entire buying process, got approved for financing, and overnighted my deposit check to them. The next day, I had not heard anything from the Sales or Finance Teams. I called the dealership, they notified me that the bike I was trying to purchase was sold that morning AFTER I HAD FINANCING APPROVED AND DEPOSIT WAS SENT TO THEM. When inquiring about this issue all anyone can tell me is that it was a simple case of miscommunication. They will not work with me on similar priced bikes. I recommend not working with this dealer.
The staff at BR HD are awesome! I went in thinking nothing could be done for me, but left with the bike I wanted and more! I am definitely a happy customer!! I recommend anyone that is interested in buying a bike, you come in and see what they can do for you! They bend over backwards to do what they can to get you on the bike of your dreams. They even have a department that calls to make sure everything went well!! I just loved the experience all around! I definitely will be back!!
My bike was dropped off for a safety inspection. The staff was very friendly and took the time to understand why I was requesting this. The inspection was so thorough they caught many problems I did not know existed. This was not a quick once over. When I got the bike back it ran like it did when the motor was fresh. All my problems were corrected. Terri, at the service counter, is always smiling and obviously enjoys her job. I would highly recommend this dealer for service. And with my limited interactions with sales and parts I can predict that my experiences with the dealer as a whole will be the same.
Here's all you need to know. Saw a used FXDF with Screaming Eagle after market exhaust at TTRNO in NOLA for around $11,000. About a month later saw it sitting outside for closer to $15,000. Prepare to be called a lot if you show any interest in purchasing a motorcycle.
Boyfriend and I went to buy a helmet and after about 10 mins had a person asking us about the bikes. We looked around and asked HOW MUCH a bike was, still no intentions of buying one, and next thing we knew we were in an office being told we were buying it. My boyfriend said multiple times he didn t want the bike and was told every time that it was too late, yet no payment had even been made. AFTER signing all the papers we were then told the warranty that was supposed to be included, was not and would be an extra $600 on a separate payment. Reluctantly, we took the bike home and less than 24 hours later returned and talked to a general manager who said he did not believe we were lied too, or pressured into buying the bike and the only thing he would do was try to resell the bike (screw someone else). It didn t sell so we went back to get it and while driving down the interstate one of the saddle bags flew off. Thankfully after cheating us out of $16,000, they were generous enough to order the $500 saddle bag, on them. But I wouldn t be surprised to see that offer go away after leaving this review. it s a shame that grown men would prey on a young couple like that, but hopefully anyone who reads this will think twice before going here.
Look y'all, Darren, Mark, and Darryl at BRHD has and are doing a fantastic job winning me back. These guys truly rock. I'm blessed to have the service department taking care of my Breakout. The service and prices are fantastic. I'm happy with how I've been treated and enjoyed the professionalism they display with everyone upon entering the SD. Thanks BRHD
While we had a pleasant experience with the staff in the back of the store (one lady was great in showing my son a helmet and all of its features) and at the back counter (the guy was helpful in finding parts for my dad). The sales people up front were like a pack of wild dogs on a fresh piece of meat when we walked in and during our whole visit.
Ive bought cars, trucks, 18 wheelers, RV s and yes even motorcycles. And in my adult life I have NEVER had and experience at a dealership like the one I had in Baton Rouge . My salesman did his best but the finance department and upper management was another story . I dealt with three different people in the finance department spoke with two different people that said they were the general manager. Buy the way the one GM I had , I have heard is now in Oklahoma at another HD dealership. I never got full disclosure , got one excuse after another about my title paperwork and my license plate and the radio that didn t work and when the financing was approved They would not give my bike to me for almost a month, so I had a bike payment due about two weeks after I got it instead of 45 days like I was told. And even my HOG membership which only cost $50 took over three months for them to file when they said they filed the paperwork when I bought the bike. After all that I was promised by the general manager I believe his name is Darren , was going to do something special to make up for all the mistakes and of course I never heard anymore about it. So just be careful be where ask for full disclosure and stay on top of the people you re dealing with and be careful . Oh and on a sidenote they didn t even let my better half ring the bell in the dealership . I could go into more detail but I think you get the drift. Just be careful, their are some good people at the dealership, like motor clothes and parts but buying a HD was something else.
Being in a horrible position (flooded home along with a pregnant wife and forced to move) I had to sell my bike. 2012 Road Glide Ultra with 23K miles on the bike. Great condition. Only offered me 9,500 and wouldn't budge. Due to my circumstances I had no choice but to sell the bike as I didn't have time to wait to sell on my own. HORRIBLE business and absolute lack of empathy and respect for their customers. As I sat there and waited I was even confronted by a customer leaving the store who warned me OF THIS EXACT SITUATION HAPPENING TO OTHERS. Unfortunately, as I said, my options were slim to none.

Let's see where do I start I have been to almost all the Harley Davidson shops across the country and this one is probably pretty close to the worst. Dirty bathrooms uneducated people let's see I brought my motorcycle to be worked on only to find my show bike out in the weather dirtier than it's ever been the entire time I've owned it. But then again almost all their motorcycles outside are in that condition I would not suggest going here to anyone. Although I did buy a 2018 trike they have called my phone once a day sometimes twice a day for about a month afterwards even on Sundays while I was in church
Brittany Walters, The receptionist was the first person to welcome me. When I'm ready to purchase, I'll be sure to purchase from HD in BR. Thanks for the amazing experience!
Just bought our first Harley Davidson motorcycle. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was so awesome! I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thanks H D of Baton Rouge!
Horrible service department. Bike was there just a little over 5 months. They kept giving me the run around about when my bike will be ready. It was there so long they actually closed out the ticket and reopen to make it look like the bike was there only over a month. But really if they think a month is a good time to show in there system for a bike being there something is really wrong with there services dept. They will not follow up with you so you can forget that completely. You will have to call them. Be advise take your bike else were to get services work cause at Baton rouge Harley Davidson you will not get great customer services from the service dept. I'm sure the sales side is awesome because they want the sale but the after the sale trust the services is completely shame. Be advise I have never wrote a bad review on any business in my life because I know things happen. But this place of business is unbelievable.
Lynnard Crawford, Bill blackmon, Jessie adams helped me on a buyback today that went smooth. Jessie will help you any way he can to make sure you get the best deal. He trully cares about his customers! I highly recommend seeing him if you are thinking of buying your next bike
The lady that was helping us on the floor was really nice! She told us the shirts were buy one get one free. As long as they had their logo on it. We picked our shirts and showed it to her she said that count as the buy on get one free! Well we went to the cashier and we ended paying full price for both. We told him what the lady told us he wasn t having it. He just kept saying no and didnt offer to even speak with the lady. We just paid and left. It was really nice looking inside tho. And the parts department did a lot to help my husband with his bike.
Best it's been in a long time. I use to go to Harley with my uncle when I was younger and I loved it. The people were friendly and it just had that classic biker atmosphere. Then the employees started to only care about sales and not about their customers. During this holiday season I decided to go back and see what all had changed and let me tell you I'm glad that I did. I was helped by a young girl from motor clothes named Nicole. She was super sweet and very helpful. I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone.
They need to have someone who is knowledgable about Harley parts and what is in their department. There was one girl there who did not even ask if I needed assistance when it was obvious I did. I waited until she was off the phone then had to ask her. She didn't appear to know anything. Granted, maybe she's new? (we all have to start somewhere). It's not right to her or any of your potential customers to not have decent service. On the flip side, although I wasn't asked if I needed assistance with anything (not even approached) in the apparel department, when I did make my way to the counter the lady there was very friendly and helpful.
Good service, the staff very helpful answer any/all questions & concerns you have. I like how they check on your after purchase to ensure you are satisfied period.
went to this shop was told they would not mount a tire on my bike because it was over 10 years old all they were interested in was selling new bikes does this mean a 10 year or older harley is not good enough for their dealers to work on it was not a big job just needed a tire
Rob in service rocks! My wife and I were on vacation and decided to trade bikes. We were treated well by everyone that we met in the store. It was a good experience. The 5 star rating is for the service that we received from Daryl as he lined everything out for us so that we could get back on the road. Rob in the service department is awesome! The only thing wrong with him is that he is not in Tennessee to take care of my bike. Rob provided by far the best service that I have ever received in a Harley shop. Thanks Rob!
Wonderful experience, excellent bike selection. Knowledgeable staff. Process was pain free. Page and Cliff put us in our dream bike. Answered all our questions with professionalism and patience. Even enjoyed us bringing our little one with us.
The service dept. Sucks. In a company wide rating it came in 123 out of 125. However you can find good deals on a new Harley purchase, just stay away from their used inventory and warranty service plans
Absolute best Harley, or any other brand for that matter, dealer in the state of Louisiana! I was looking for a rare flat head, and they had it! No one else took me serious! Thanks BRHD !
Spent some time with Perry and Leonard trying to work a deal on a 2016 Fatboy. Even though I couldn't do the deal, they understood and went out of their way to try and accommodate me on the purchase. Outstanding experience in my book. Very professional staff. I noticed the "Under New Management" sign. I can't speak for the old management regime, but the ones I encountered were excellent.
Huge selection of new and used bikes and trikes. Everything you need as far as riding gear. Extremely friendly sales and service department. Will do everything in their power to get you on the Harley Davidson of your dreams.
My mom,dad & I went shopping & the salesperson TARA helped us & she was AWESOME very informative very helpful with everything we were looking for her personality is so up beat cheerful & she has a beautiful smile y'all definitely need to go shop @Harley Davidson of baton rouge ...
Myself and my family have purchased numerous Motorcycles from Baton Rouge Harley Davison over the last 24 years. We believe in purchasing local and supporting our local businesses and personal. The personal has changed over the years like all businesses will. However; the Southern Hospitality has not. Each customer will experience what they want to experience as they go on the journey to experience the Harley Davison way of life. Its not just a Motorcycle. So go in with a Good mind set and understand the Dealership has to turn a profit to make you feel good . They can't be Santa Claus to you and Cheap!
I cant thank these guys enough. I rode in from Miami and realized my rear tire was shot. They gave me a GREAT deal on a set of new tires, fixed my left grip and wasked my bike. Great service and staff.
Had a much better experience this time than I've had in the past. Lynard is a cool cat and did everything he could to make my visit a great one. He did an excellent job helping me pick out the right bike for me. Lynard and the finance team and Lee made it possible for me to get on a brand new 2018 Roadglide.
Wasn't friendly when i went for my application for employment...?.. The Receptionist was behind a motorcycle and couldn't be seen because she blended in with the motorcycles....and I was promised a interview the same day but it wasn't available
