Bikers from SC, As we travel through this great American, we shop at local HD. Our visit here stopped by a branch in parking lot. 1 employee came out and said this was for car customers, not a motorhome. We asked, are we not customers? He answered NO. So if we spend $200. We are not a customer? No! So he said I'm going to send out someone, next the manager came out and helped us cut the branch. Thanks. Hope they are nicer to bikers who live here.

Was a great experience... I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a gentleman. Great big store And got really great deals on a couple of jackets

I can begin to tell you how great the people are over Baton Rouge Harley Davidson... I was ravelling through town from Houston and had some bike problems and stopped at this wonderful place. The service department is top notch, seeing the frustration on my face they immediately took over and got us(New Nation MC., Brazoria CO, Tx) back on the road quickly!
If your bike is in of service trust me Baton rouge Harley Davidson is the place to go or if you are in the market for a new bike their sales staff is friendly and courteous I positive they will treat your right!

Prices are good. I bought my bike brand new (first new bike I owned) sales department was not the best I've seen. Felt like I was being harassed because I was followed by some person who barely speaks English. Warranty is garbage if they let you get it fixed. Called about a headlight bezel that's rusting on a 2015. (must be China made) Asked if it would be replaced if it had to be chrome like factory was told yeah so I'll fix it myself instead of dealing with the bs. Should have bought it in my home town instead of B.R.

We found ourselves stuck in Baton Rouge for several days so we thought we would slip in and check out the new 2018 line-up. Not sure.....but I think this HIGH PRESSURE sales tactic will end up hurting them. At one point I had THREE salesmen trying to hammer me. It was two salesmen for most of the rest of the visit. They actually keep you from looking around the showroom...If you stand looking at a model for more then 30 or 40 seconds, they want to write it up. Get the paperwork started, let's get your credit score checked out....The high pressure makes my wife extremely nervous....she just wants to LEAVE.....as fast as possible. .....so we do.

Service department told me they can not change the settings for my fog lamps to stay on with my high beam.
HOWEVER,

The main question I have is did the person I speak to lie to me or is he incompetent. Either way I don't want a moron or a liar touching my motorcycle.

Stopped in to get a tee shirt and a poker chip, but I only bought a poker chip didn't find a tee shirt that I wanted. Nice dealership plenty of motorcycles staff was very friendly, as always trying to get you to buy a new motorcycle.

I want to start with a big THANK YOU!
I highly recommend to go see Stoney Hughes at Baton Rouge Harley -Davidson! He is friendly and not a pushy salesman. I went to there on several locations, just looking, I mean, who doesn't just look? I already had a '17 Street Glide and would ride by and see what was there. I met Stoney and we talked about the bikes, new, used, riding, and just general B.S. just like you would with anyone else that is just hanging around, rather for service or "just looking". He showed me several bikes and pointed out one that he thought might interest me due to what I told him about my likes, dislikes, and needs, my wife wanted a tour pack.
I made several trips there over the following weeks, again just looking or maybe buying some accessories for my Street Glide.
The bike Stoney pointed out, was just what we needed.
I took a picture to show my wife. She liked it as well and we decided to start the buying process. Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson made me a great deal on my trade and the buying price.
The buying experience was a pleasure and not the typical "car lot" experience.
Due to the fact that weather conditions were not looking good, I opted out of the "new bike owner ceremony" so that I could get on my way home.
When I was there the day before, I did see someone receive their new bike and the ceremony. I won't say what all it was involved, but it is pretty cool!
Again, Thank you Stoney and staff at Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson.

Quite possibly the worst experience anyone could suffer through. Instead of a HD dealership I felt like I was at your typical used car lot. The sales guy was cordial, but all upper management were arrogant and had a careless attitude whether they sold a bike or not. I immediately left, drove to CAJUN HD of Laffayette and was treated unbelievably and left on the 2016 Street Glide Special bike with a painless transaction. I wouldn't recommend BR HD to an enemy. After hearing from several people that HD of BR operated as such, I should have gone with my gut, they definitely put the "hear say" from others to truth. Although I'm all about buying local, don't waist your time, drive elsewhere. If I could give a negative rating I would have...

Seems they are so busy trying to get new customers, they forget about keeping existing ones. Although there are some good people there, (I blame management), I wasn t happy with rip off service plan purchased with my 17 Road king nor the service department, where my bike spent way too many nights. They might not have enough technicians. I felt
like my bike (and me) was low priority, so I bought my new bike and service plan elsewhere.. Longer drive, but happy so far. My new dealership seems to appreciate my business.n

The service department is the most irresponsible outfit I have ever dealt with. First, I had them install a new charging system on my centennial FXDWG, and they couldn't be bothered to hook an ammeter up to it to make sure it worked, so I rode just far enough to drain the battery and got stranded in an Albertsons parking lot, where I called my girlfriend to come jump start me. The service department sent the man to pick up my bike the next day, then ignored it for 4 days until I called to remind them that they had it. When I collected it two days later, almost none of the scheduled work had been done, and they put me on the street with no tail light, which I didn't realize until later. I could have been ticketed or worse. Finally, after I had complained to tell service manager and told him that I'd never let his crew touch a bike of mine again, they still sent the man to pick up my bike, which he did, which the service manager denied, which led to me reporting the bike stolen, after which the manager called me to let me know that he had had no idea what happened, as if I didn't know already.

It isn't just the incompetence, but the insulting arrogance with which I was dealt one obviously false excuse after another. Instead of simply apologizing for screwing up the installation of my charging system and fixing what they were supposed to expeditiously, they gave one lame excuse after another, tried to put the blame for their sloppy work on me, and told me what I know were lies. I can install a charging system on a Dyna for myself. If I pay someone to do the work for me, they had better not lie to me about their goofs when they mess things up.

Swore up and down they can finance me, went to thier dealership which is 1hr 45 min away thinking they can approve me like they said. Get there and they were so helpful and wanted to do everything they can to get me riding that day, up until they started running credit. Then they basically forgot about me almost completely, to the point they forgot to give my liscence back. Then to top that they won't send my ID to me. It's only a great place if you have a1 credit or you blowing loads of cash their. Because once they find out there's no big commission they forget you exist. Treated me like royalty up until they realized I wasn't some rich smuck. Last time I go there

great staff friendly and not pushy about making you buy it now. willing to listen an offer suggestion and option. took all the time i wanted and explained even silly questions. since i am new to the harley experience i had quite a few.

Unfortunately, our visit was spent smarting questions to ask overwhelmingly aggressive group of salespeople. While looking at bikes and clothing we were asked over 20 times in the short time we were there about our visit and if we were interested in buying a bike. When we responded no multiple times, more salespeople came and asked us from the group of them talking until we finally left. I'd suggest trying another dealership.

"I have been associated with BR Harley since 2013. I just purchased my 4th bike this past November--a 2018 Heritage with the Milwaukee 8 - 114. LORD I LOVE THIS 4TH BIKE!! I selected every employee name because I know ALL of them. I have dealt with every employee in one way or another in the past. I believe I have an excellent basis for making this review. Is BR Harley perfect? Certainly not but NO Harley dealership is perfect. It is impossible for a dealership to be perfect every time you walk in the door. There have been times in the past when I was really upset with one thing or another and walked out cursing the dealership and all the employees but those were isolated instances. The real question is how do I feel in general? I am well aware there have been some past problems with the dealership GM which has hurt the BR Harley reputation. I can truthfully say, however, I have met and carefully observed the current GM, and I am convinced he has the dealership moving in the right direction. I have seen several employees return to BR Harley who previously left because of GM problems. This speaks volumes in itself. In addition, because I know the employees so well many are more than willing to speak honestly to me about the dealership and any problems. Recently the 'scuttlebutt' has been very positive, and I have noted a noted a significant positive change in employee demeanor. For the reasons above, I give BR Harley a 4 Star rating. Naturally, some will say why not 5 stars if I am so favorable? Simple--I said BR Harley is not perfect but it IS moving in the right direction. I fully expect, however, the day will soon come when I give it 5 Stars."

Horrible service. Trade in has not been paid off, collectors calling for payment on a bike that Harley now owns for a month. They DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING......Credit affected, do not purchase from this Harley Davidson!

Was purchasing an 09 Road King and found a better deal at another dealership. Baton Rouge charged me the whole down payment $1,000 for restocking fee. Ridiculous!! Sure a couple hundred bus LS but not a grand!!!

Then they charged $100 shop fee for a handlebar swap on a two yr old bike.

Stay away!!!

As Harley dealerships go this one was about average. However what stood out from so many others was their incredible sales staff members. A comfortable rest stop along life's journey. ~V.
