Outstanding 9 hole course! The greens are very fast and immaculate , the fairways well groomed and in excellent shape always. The biggest challenge is no distance markers. A short game dream !

Harbor Links Golf Course, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in New York state. This open links-style course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

We had the pleasure of coming to Harbor Links Golf Course for an event and it was a great experience. The course looked huge and all the rooms were clean and beautiful! The staff was very helpful and we hope to come back soon! Thank you for having us!

Bill Friedrich's review is exactly right. I'll only play this course if I take a Wednesday off from work. Weekends are asinine. Tee off late ... Front nine takes almost 3 hours. Rangers do absolutely nothing to speed up play. By the time you get to #12 inevitably you are thinking of the hell you are going to get at home for playing a course 5 minutes from home that turns into a 7 hour day. And it's too expensive for what it is.

Attended a party last night, but due to work had to arrive late to reception. I tried ordering my sons dinner and I was given the Riot Act Why did he have the buffet Then she had to go ask the manager if she can get him the Filet Mignon that was on the menu. Best she can do was chicken fingers with fries! REALLY???!!! If you need to book a party find another hall that can actually accommodate the guests and their dinner requests. Awful Service

Impressive golf course but I think the driving range could see some improvements. They have artificial mats and a golf course of this caliber should have an all grass turf range. It would require more maintenance but they would probably get more customers.

It s a great layout. Really fun course to play. Occasionally the pace of play is excruciating. But recently it is seem to have been better. I suggest calling ahead and checking on course conditions

Great Course ruined by Management and Cost Played on Friday 11am with a buddy who really like the course. I am a fan of the layout and design. BUT, Round took 5.5 hours. This was not an outing but a regular day. There are tee times every 8 and 9 minutes! Come on folks, you are charging $115 for non-residents / $81 for residents on Fridays (weekend rates), the least you can do is 10 minute tee times! The utter disgust to make money puts TOO many groups on the course which leads to HORRENDOUS delays. In addition, 5 of the non par 3 holes were cart path only which seems to happen every time I play this course. There was a cart going around to buy beverages but there were NO water coolers anywhere on the course. If average play is 5 hours, a few water coolers would be nice. At one point, there were 4 groups on the 16th hole. Two groups in the fairway and 2 waiting on the tee. A ranger came by and stopped by the first group on the hole and then drove away! NOTHING WAS DONE! If you have a ranger, then have them do the job they need to do, move the slow groups to the next hole and have consideration for the rest of the players on the course. It is very sad. I am a local resident with a 5 minute ride to this course. BUT I will drive 45 - 60 minutes out east to play courses in 4 hours or less. It has been 2 years since I last played this course and it will be longer than that until the next time I play!

Horrible service we show up for our tee time on the minute and they apologize and tell us they sent someone out and went be able to get us out for another hour and a half. Due to the fact we weren't in a hour early to check in. Yet we were in the parking lot 5 mins early debating breakfast. I called made a reservation I wasn't told about this policy and received a confirmation email where I read all the fine print and it wasn't mentioned. For the north shore of long island the service her belongs in the slums of Harlem. Avoid!!!!!!

When it comes to customer service I would give this place 0 stars if I could, especially during these hard times.. paid $172 for a 2some, played one hole and it started pouring, was soaked in 2 seconds, came up to the window and asked for a rain check, the guy behind the partition says we don t give rain checks as he s smirking at me... tells me it doesn t matter if there s a hurricane we still won t give you a rain check... no class whatsoever

Nice course good shape good greens but brutally slow play on weekends Also it is really stupid to have 800 yards between the whites and the seniors i.e 6400 to 5600. There should be a set of tees in between. Tee off every 8 minutes guarantees a slow round. Hard to make an emotional attachment to the place

Harbor links is one of the best public courses challenging holes, well kept, great views. You get a dinner with your round but its expensive. I'm a resident and its $85 during the week and $100 in weekends. Its $130 if your not a resident. The rough is quite thick if I hit in the rough I usually take a more lofted iron a come up short of the green then chip on. The course gives you the opportunity to hit lots of 6, 7 irons which are my best clubs. There are many 400 yard par 4s

First time playing the championship course and man was it fun! Greens were running incredibly fast and so was the round (sub 4 hour round) on a weekday. Course condition and maintenance was also on point. Would definitely come back again.

Executive course is fun but the attitude of the staff and groundskeeper was unacceptable. Saw older people ride cart where they don't belong - groundskeeper yelled at them and called them "retarded". Meanwhile he parked his maintenance cart right in our way and proceeded to water the green while we were playing. One staff member very rude.

Service is pretty terrible here. Rounds run 5 hours+ if you don't tee off before 830 am. The starters and guys around the carts are a perfect example of people who abuse any type of power they have just to feel some type of value in the world. Cancellation policy is completely dumb at 72 hours. Would give zero stars if it were possible.

Worst golf experience of my life. Saturday 6/25 and the first nine holes took 3hrs and 5 minutes. I'm driving back to the club house for a refund. I heard this place is bad but over a 6 hour round is inexcusable. Management here needs to change.

Nice venue but staff was very disorganized bringing the food. The stuffed mushrooms were mushy. The salad was fresh. Had chicken francaise which was average and definitely not hot enough. The vegetables that came with it were cold, soggy and overcooked.

Years ago I played here and it was a grueling 5 1/2 to 6 hr round. Played yesterday 4/14/18 and I'm glad to see NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!!!!! $100.00 ROUND and still 6hrs. Totally unacceptable. Our 4some play 3 sub 90 rounds and 4th picked up and moved along with us as required, which was never because we waited every hole!!!!! We were not part of the problem. For sure. After the 5th hole we had to actually drive up to the group in front of us and ask them to stop looking for a lost ball for 8-10 minutes every other hole. No rangers in site. 8th hole par 3, wait at tee box as usual, ranger shows up and parks. "You can drive thru Sir, we will wait". " No, I will wait" he says. "No, please Sir drive thru". "I'm try to speed things up" now comes out of his mouth!!!!! He proceeds to sit and won't leave. That sped things up by a good 3-4 minutes in the wrong direction, SMH. So as he sits and one of the group is in his back swing, chirp chirp pick up your radio Phil comes blasting out of his radio!!!!! Another awesome Ranger skill quality. "Please Sir, move along to the two groups in front of us, they are probably walking around looking for their balls. You have about 10 minutes watch them look for a ball. Please say something to move them along". " Well there really isn't anything I can do or say" comes out of his mouth. After yesterday's shananagens, I think I'm done once and for all. 6 yr wait wasn't long enough to play here again. P.S. Don't plan on spending time on the putting green either, the first tee back up also backs up the putting green. Your can't go putt until the starter send you down which is group on tee, 2 groups ahead of you and you join. That's 12 on The green with 2 flags to putt at. Thank goodness everyone used tee's or a ball marker to spread out and just loosen up. Sincerely #HarborLinks6hrroundNeverAgain

Good golf course but one star for by far the WORST customer service I have experienced anywhere. My experience was at the 9 hole course. As my party walked up to check in, I saw a middle age white worker harshly scolding two gentlemen who rented golf carts. They apparently didn t take the particular golf carts the worker specified - an honest mistake which did not warrant the uncivil response. The older employee was extremely rude but I shrugged it off and continued to check in. The young employee in check in was professional enough. Then it was our turn to deal with the older employee to get our carts. Since we were early for our tee time and the first course was clear, I asked if we can get started... The response I received was verbatim you don t start until I say you can start! Well then, we waited until our tee time but the employee was no where to we found. Thus we went up to the first tee. As we get started, the employee comes out and starts berating me didn t I say you don t start until I say you start?! - to which I promptly responded with disgusted apathy. The next couple hours was very enjoyable on the golf course but I already made up my mind about my experience. When it was time to return, we saw the next customer getting equally despicable customer service. The next customer was only 6 minutes late to his tee time but was treated extremely rudely. The worst part - it was a different employee. I m cannot say where Harbor Links found its employees, but they have no place in golf, or customer service, period. My friends and family will be golfing elsewhere.

Played at the executive 9 (eg no par 5's). Good course that definitely has some challenging holes. Very picturesque. But the drainage is kind of spotty and so when playing after rain, watch out for the low lying wet spots. They run many specials like early bird and twilight discounts. Obviously there's a penalty for non town of north hempstead residents.

We have actually waited soccer fields that are within the golf course area. There ample amount of parking available. Since fields are located up the heal stairs are available. If you save to take a cart or a stroller with you you will need to push it up the steep heal. Fields were in great condition.
