To: Owner of Harbor Deli

I've been ordering from Harbor for over 2 years now but it turns out that today is the last day. The food is great and the selection is countless, no question about that. But over the course of the 2 years, Harbor has incorrectly prepared my orders around 5 times. I understand, mistakes happen due to volume, especially around lunchtime - they have replaced the meals those 5 times and I am satisfied as a customer for that.

But today I was told straight up to "not take it the wrong way and to not order from there" after messing up my order yet again. The receipt clearly states my order correctly (as it did every other time) and it was NOT prepared to how they accepted the order.

Just so the owner understands, I don't need my money back as as it was offered in exchange me suspending orders from there. It is about principal and to be frank, your employee was quite rude. If an incorrect order was given to me, am I to just deal with it and eat it? FYI every single time I offered to return the incorrect order, but it was declined and it ended up in the garbage.

One of the times I ordered a Chicken Philly and they delivered a Steak Philly - which eating beef is against my religion. Don't blame the incompetence on the customer if you take the order correctly and the kitchen produces it incorrectly. You may want to have a bit more oversight in your kitchen. Anyway, thank you for time.

Your response does not make any sense because the electronic labels you print state the correct order but it is not made according to that. So it is not a matter of me changing anything - I don't call you back to make changes after you take it down the first time. Again, you take down the order correctly but it is not made that way on the few instances referenced above. Anyway, I thank you for your time and will not be placing any orders with you as per your request.

The owner cusses out delivery drivers that are requesting an ETA on their customers meals. Extremely unprofessional and harassing behavior. The drivers are also serving YOUR customers and trying to do a good job for YOUR customer that ordered from you. I advise delivery drivers to decline orders from this establishment

Submitted an online order which they said they never received. Their wings are crispy and big but the sauces were way salty, almost inedible. Philly cheese steak was drowned with cheese wiz to the point the bread was too soggy to pick up and fell apart when I tried to pick it up.

I came to this deli being it was conveniently located right across from where my daughter was playing a softball game. Place was very clean and very good service. I ordered ham and American cheese on a roll and it was very good. They weren't stingy with the meat either. I returned to the place a few hours later and ordered a few hot coffees that weren't great. Don't know if it was a long day for them but coffee shouldn't taste stale so mixed reviews for me . Prices are competitive

MY EXPERIENCE WAS SO BAD THEY DO NOT GET ANY STARS FROM ME. THE REVIEW DID NOT ALLOW ME TO POST WITHOUT AT LEAST GIVING THEM ONE. So I ordered food this morning to work right down the block on Main st. My order took 40-45 minutes to arrive, which wasn t a big deal because I ordered it on my way to work anyway. I ordered a smoothie and also a sandwich turkey,extra bacon,mayonnaise, salt pepper and lettuce. When it came the smoothie tasted like pure water, literally like they just put milk ice and strawberry (which is totally incorrect when making a smoothie). It wasn t thick at all. Went to eat my sandwich, zero mayonnaise as I asked for specifically when I ordered, so I checked my receipt to make sure and (my receipt said everything I asked for). I call they say they ll fix the smoothie and bring a new one (by then I was skeptical) and also PUT MAYO in the bag for me. So I guess I m suppose to make my own sandwich although I just spent money for it to be done. Not to mention it s been almost 40 mins at this point that I had the food unable to eat it, so now my roll is hard as a rock. I went back there and they just handed me the mayo and the smoothie they made over (horrible as the first one)So I had to throw them both away while I was there. Everyone just looked at me not saying a word or offering me any assistance. Pretty much like Oh well! . I ended up wasting 22 dollars on food and I drink I didn t get to enjoy not even one bite of my sandwich. Shame on them!

My total was 18.44 in which I gave the delivery man $22 with his tip included.My experience was horrible to the point where I just left 5 minutes ago and couldn t even wait to get back to work to write a review. It was something I needed to do immediately. As a resident of port Washington for the past 25 years I m extremely disappointed. The way they handled the situation so poorly really took me by surprise. I expected them to at least offer to make me a fresh new sandwich, the way I originally asked. Or offer me a refund for the bad order and terrible service. And prepare me a actual SMOOTHIE! Safe to say I will never order from them again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Frustrated and annoyed us an understatement for the way I feel!

This place sucks. I go here all the time but I won t be coming back. I waited for 30 mins inside after calling in an order ahead of time. There were 4 people working there and I still had to wait. When I was given my sandwiches after waiting for so long, I specifically asked the person that made them if the wrap I ordered was hot. He said yes. I got home and the wrap was not pressed or heated whatsoever. It didn t have avocado that I asked for either. The other sandwich s bread was burned and did not have Cajun mayo on it which was requested. What is the point of spending $30 on deli food if they don t even give you what you ordered? I won t come back here again. Stick to other delis in port like bayview and Hincks,.

Three stars for a perfectly fine turkey sandwich that took way too long to be made. It didn't seem like there wasn't enough staff or that anyone was particularly scrambling, but folks in the deli were left waiting for phone orders to be filled and that's not really a good service to folks who took the time to come in.

Biggest problem here? Too many choices. Hundreds of sandwich choices. Four or five different tuna salad styles and the same with chicken salad styles. Excellent line staff, ownership, and amazing to watch the volume of delivery orders.

The food is delicious when and if you get it. I order on a regular basis. We order lunch everyday. The order is usually incomplete or wrong all together.Just received and my order at 3:45 that I placed at 2:02pm. Harry the owner is never apologetic . Time to find a new place to order. I m tired of spending my good money only to be treated like my business is not important to harbor deli

I recently had the experience of having Harbor Deli provide lunch for an very important client meeting. The Owner Harry had me at hello, when he insisted on personally handling my order to insure everything would be done correctly, and understanding my concerns, But, what t I most appreciated aside from the extra care and consideration was the patience of Harry and his staff when dealing with my multiple calls with changes and last minutes additions. I cant thank Harbor Deli enough for helping to making my meeting a tremendous success.

Fantastic deli and great service. I particularly liked the people working there. They were all kind and helped us order without being rushed. In fact, they gave my son some freebies just for showing an interest in some of the unique offerings. I will go back often. Get the double mess egg sandwich....tops in all NY.....and yes, I am a New Yorker from the Manhattan.

Been going here for years it's a great place with so many choices. Crazy sandwiches, fresh salads, homemade dessert, alongside your typical long island deli delights. It is always busy so order ahead of your arrival. Service is a little slow, but good is worth the wait. They accept credit and debit cards

The salad bar looks better than the product made. The girl behind the counter came around to help me. I ordered a simple romaine salad with a few accompaniments. She made the salad with iceberg lettuce and when I advised the mistake, she first told me it was romaine, then blankly looked at me and asked if she could just add romaine. When she remade the salad and handed it to me, she said the guys behind the counter would help me. I stood there awkwardly waiting while she disappeared. While waiting, I checked out the salad barely displaying any of the sides other than miniscule shreds of carrot, a tiny piece of avocado and barely noticed the egg whites. The beets were no where to be found. The salad looked like a bowl of lettuce and at that point, I didn't even know it cost over $9. When the owner finally acknowledged me, I asked if this was the typical way they made salad and he said rather uncaringly, "She makes them everyday, so if you want more sides, she can add them." If she made them every day, she should know the difference between iceberg and romaine lettuce! I really didn't appreciate his response or attitude of the girl or the owner. I also ordered the walnut and cranberry chicken salad. I took two bites of the 1/2 pound of salad only to throw it out. It tasted old and I was a bit concerned about what I was eating. I won't return to Harbour Deli. Plenty of other deli's out there. I guess they forgot that fact.

Without a doubt , the BEST Deli around. If you LOVE soup they have the best. Whatever the soup of the day. As for sandwiches, take your pick. you cannot go wrong. Food is always fresh,and service is exceptional . You will also enjoy eating there.

Best Deli Around! I have never been disappointed by anything served here. The staff are always super nice and polite. Great location and very convenient to get there. The inside of the place is nice to eat in and is very clean. I recommend this place to everyone I meet :-)

Waiting an hour and a half for two items to be delivered within a 2 mile radius is ridiculous. After contacting them to check the status, was immediately told the driver is nearby ...which is ironic since they are located nearby. That doesn t resolve the issue. With an ETA of 12:39 and arriving at 1:30, could you blame me for being frustrated?

order lunch daily with my coworkers. we are located Roslyn heights (so we aren't far) They usually for get an order incorrectly, like missing someone lunch,takes over an hour for delivery. But worst part was we accidentally gave the delivery guy extra $10 and when we called them they denied it. Owner stated he would never he's one of there best drivers. Needless to say for them to lie about ten and losing us as a customer who frequently order daily.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we passed a magnificent evening and the place was definitely the reason for the happy gathering. The crew participated in a gorgeous manner, the food was great and my guests were extremely delighted. We shall definitely come back again for more events. Thank you very much.

First we called and received our food an hour and fifteen minutes later. The ice coffee had almost no ice in it. We ordered chipotle sauce and didn t get it. There were no straws and we ordered 2 coffees and got three. Not a great experience.

Just returned from there with some Bagels and a few pints of gelato. Absolutely delicious. Have not been there in years since my children played soccer at the field across the street.
Well, I'm going to start going back there again. With their delivery and menus on line, this creates another option when you want to order in.

Avoid this place. The prices are ridiculously overpriced, and the people behind the counter are unfriendly. My kids received gift cards for this place, and the owner would not honor them. Claimed there was zero balance on them. The lady that gave the cards to my kids certainly did not give them gift cards with zero balance.

On multiple occasions I've had to call because food that I ordered for delivery was MIA for more than an hour after I was supposed to have gotten it. Most recently I called only to have the manager, of all people, re-take my order because seemingly it was lost track of. When it finally showed up to my door, it wasn't what I ordered. I've also placed orders for pick up only to have them forgotten about until I show up to get it, adding more wait time. Not worth your time. There's better food for better prices elsewhere.

A good deli. I would say Harbor Deli is slightly above average and they won't charge you for every little thing, but honestly, the food is not spectacular and the price isn't exceptionally low.

If you are catering for a large party and want excellent food, prepared professionally with plenty of condiments and sides! Then there is no better deli for that then Harbor- always excellent always on time and never disappoints!
