Poorly marked course. If you've never played there before you can drive around looking for the next tee. Course in fairly good shape, fast close cut greens but lost three balls just off the fairway in thick rough. Seems to be a favorite for the locals but I wouldn't drive out of my way to play there again.

This place is a joke, has been circling the drain for years.Keeping random hours when it is actually open is a problem. What get charged changes from week to week and the course is certainly not what it used to be.

How can you not be prepared to serve a larger crowd when you pay to bring in live entertainment? We waited over 2 hours to get our food. And, had to go up to the bar to get drinks as the wait staff couldn't do their jobs. Many people left despite the excellent music. Won't go back unless I eat before hand. Sorry to see such a nice looking place being managed so poorly.

Great public course with a private feel all around. Above average pro shop, top notch dinning facilities and barrooms and complete practice facility...oh, and the course is above par too.

The food and service were excellent. The facilities were beautiful, and the music by Wes Johnson was fantastic! I can't believe there were so few people there. Maybe it's the out of the way location, but it's well worth the drive.

Always a problem at Blue Shamrock, website contradicts the use of group golfer vouchers. They say one thing and do the opposite, the cost is never what they say it is. The starter is miserable and never happy and has no personality at all. The two times we played there this year the conditions were terrible.
Our group of 12 vowed never to play there again.

I played this course for the first time Saturday morning 9/19/2020 at 9:43 am. I was very happy with the course. Well kept. The bunkers were ok due (Covid-19) not being able to rake them out. Customer service was great. Pace of play was smooth.
I would like to see more trash cans on the course to dispose of beer cans. Haha! I also think an extra bathroom or two on the course would be great for the ladies. Driver only on the driving range due to lack of room. Which kind of stinks for me because that is club I need to practice with the most before teeing off.
All in all I would definitely recommend this course to play. I look forward to the day I could play it again, hopefully, under non-Covid-19 restrictions. Good job! Keep up the great work.

We played today, and we were told up front that 6 holes were "cart path only" and hole 7 was changed from a par 5 to a 3... We paid full price for a course that the front 9 was barely playable. Most were so soaking wet that your club would be dripping every time it touched the ground. The back 9 was better, but not by much....

In 2019 we purchased GroupGolfer vouchers that expired in April 2020. Unfortunately with the COVID-19 pandemic we did not get to use them prior to the expiration date due to course closures and other restrictions.. We received an e-mail stating that GroupGolfer vouchers would be extended until the end of the season which we thought was fair given the circumstances.

When we tried to schedule a round and use the vouchers we were told that the extension only applied to vouchers purchased in 2020. The e-mail never stated that but the manager basically said that s the way it is.
GroupGolfer vouchers never lose their face value and can be used any time for products or services at the establishment.

So we decided we would use the vouchers during the week when the price would be cheaper and we could take advantage of the Senior Special they offer. When we arrived we were told that the vouchers could not be used in conjunction with the Senior Special. And to make matters worse they told us that they could only be used to offset the highest rate they were currently charging which was a $59 weekend rate. Are you kidding me? How can you charge seniors who want to use the face value of the voucher a weekend rate on a Monday?

It is apparent that management is trying to recover lost revenues at the expense of poor customer service. Needless to say you have lost our future business and I will not recommend Blue Shamrock to anyone. Very disappointed.

I really wish I could recommend Blue Shamrock to other engaged couples, but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if another bride went though what Tim put me through. We booked our October 2017 wedding in November 2015 with Tony as the wedding coordinator. He was fantastic and incredibly responsive. After setting our food choices in January 2017, it was radio silence. I finally heard back from Tim, the owner of BSGC, in July 2017. He informed me that he had fired Tony for "overpromising things" and that while he "wasn't thrilled" to be taking over wedding duties, he was doing it until he could find a manager. That's where my hell begins.
Tim could not keep anything straight. We would go back and forth via email so that I had written documentation of everything, and thank goodness I did, because in the end I needed proof. Tim tried charging me $11 more PER PERSON for each entree. He told me 14 days before my wedding that he could no longer do the ice cream bar we had originally discussed. He didn't even tell me any of this himself, he sent it in the invoice that was sent 2 weeks before the wedding, and 3 days before our final payment was due. I think he thought we would just pay the invoice without even looking at it. We went back and forth over everything that was originally promised by Tony, but in the end was taken from us. We were told we could use the pub downstairs for cocktail hour, apparently that was one of the over-promises.

There was an event at the venue the day of our rehearsal, so we knew we couldn't do the dinner there. We were told we could come at 3 and use the space for an hour. When we arrived, Jodi had no idea we were coming, because Tim "forgot" we were having our rehearsal there. Jodi sprung into action despite not knowing, and was very helpful. She listened to our concerns about the outside patio looking a mess, with weeds needing to be pulled and the mums we were told would be out needing to be planted.
The day of the wedding, we used the bridal suite, which was very convenient. The ceremony on the patio was gorgeous. The views that BSGC offers are just incredible. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the bar service was slow, and somehow they managed to "run out" of our signature drink during dinner service.
At the end of the night, literally as they turned the lights back on on the dance floor, we found out that because there was an event the next day, we needed to pack up our centerpieces and things before we left. We had a shuttle that was waiting for us to board, and my parents and sister had to skip the shuttle to help clean up! We were originally told that we could come in the following morning, I don't know how on earth someone drops that kind of bomb at the end of the night.
Overall, I'm thrilled with the backdrop that we got for our pictures, and our guests have no idea of the hassles we went through prior to the wedding... but I wouldn't wish the events leading up to the wedding on my worst enemy.

Made tee time online for 42 dollars and had a confirmation email, got to course and was told it was wrong and it would be 59 dollars...ok! Then greens were bad at best, bunkers were horrible and overall maintenance was not good! Shame this is a good layout but conditions have gone downhill, need to step up their game!

Went for Easter dinner and if i could leave a 0 star that is what i would have rated this dinner. There were 5 of us and they asked if we would like shrimp cocktail and of course we said yes . We received a small plate of 8 shrimp not cleaned or peeled for all of us to share ! 8 shrimp for 5 people . Okay I figured it has to get better from here not a chance. Eggs terrible, rice not cooked , beef way over cooked, vegtables not cooked either. The only thing edible was the chicken and dessert. My son who is in the Army said for the first time that the Army food was better then this. I did tell the staff and they said sorry. Well im sorry too because we will never go back and i hope anyone planning a wedding think twice after reading this.

Wasted hours of our time. Went over pricing and food items with Chef Christie (who was very nice) and we're under the impression Tim was going to be there (no such luck), in order to reduce costs. Spent our own time figuring out our budget with their prices only to find out after we called to set up a deposit that there was a minimum of six grand for what we had already went over. Nothing in the brochure or on the Web site about this minimum price. Now our search continues. And to anyone else. Don't get your hopes up until you see things in writing. I'd ask for that paperwork first.

The golf course was great. Beautiful condition and not too crowded. The restaurant there was terrible. Very slow service. 45 minutes to get lunch after we ordered. The place was empty, so it wasn't like they were overwhelmed. Now I know why no one who came into the bar ordered food. Will go back for the golf and find someplace else for lunch.
