Hansa Theater Review

We were in the Hansa Theater again last week.
Simply great.
A great program with very good artists, a good live band.
Very friendly and attentive service.
Price / performance is ok.
The theater is awesome.
I was there as a child over 35 years ago and it has stayed the way I remember it.
Which would be great if the ice cream cake as delicious as it used to be could be served again.
The toilets are as they were then and there is still a friendly toilet woman.
I hope that the Hansa Theater in this form will continue to exist for a very long time and that many people can enjoy it.

My son says the greatest respect for the 3 children from the juggler.
Simply great.
Even so our son was totally thrilled, he was there for the first time but not the last time.

It's a very old building, not suitable for the disabled. Service very good and nice

Quaint, plushy is not always comfortable. Rows of seats very tight. Very warm. Prices for drinks overpriced.

Gladly again and again. We are really looking forward to the next season.

What a nice evening, the artists were just amazing, it's even an experience to go to the toilets because they are so beautiful. The whole evening was just nice.

Everyone who lives or is visiting Hamburg should go to the Hansa Theater. It's like a trip to another world every time. Super show in a unique atmosphere.

I confess, I have never been here before and that is really a sacrilege, because the Hansa Theater is one of the cultural institutions in Hamburg and celebrates its 125th anniversary this year.

I was invited to this special gala and experienced Hamburg history firsthand.

The theater captivates by its plush charm alone. Every seat has a table and you can eat and drink during the performance. With a small switch you call the service, which is also discreetly active during the performance.

The show in itself captivates by its actors, who always act alternately in the program. Acrobatics, comedy and dance include standard repertoire.

At the Hansa Theater, greats such as Houdini, Siegfried and Roy appeared.

So if you want to experience a piece of Hamburg, must necessarily spend an evening here. Really unique and magical.

Has been here several times, great variety theater. The interior is a feast for the eyes, a journey into bygone times. Be sure to visit the toilets are perfectly restored.

Very oustanding show, every performers were incredible, however there is a lot that needs to be done to improve the table service, they were very very slow and rude, not really appropriate at all

Very impressive evening in a very nice atmosphere. Confrensier guided through the program wonderfully.

Ambience as expected in the style of the 50s. Plush and homely. Staff very polite. The maritime delicacies plate is very clear at 19.50 euros. Ok as a starter. But the price is too high. Beverage prices fully in the frame. For a bottle of beer, 4.50 euros, I find it completely in order.

The program is varied. Artists, sand painting, magicians and ventriloquists.

All in all a nice afternoon.

An evening full of magic and a showman like a bucket of cold water. Arnulf Rating is a vaudeville Grinch and has once again destroyed the magic with his interludes. As a political solo ok, but in the vaudeville a miscast. The good food (Maritimer Teller) was an appetizing start to the evening and the service was absolutely friendly and accommodating.

We go to the Hansa Theater every season and are always thrilled! Through the different artists in each year, it never gets boring. In the third year we saw a couple for the second time, but it was still very nice.

A beautiful variety, but the food is a bit high priced. However, a visit should always be considered on the plan during a visit to Hamburg.

A very nice old theater with a great variety program

Very nice old theater like in the good old days, hopefully it will stay in Hamburg for a long time. It was just great.

I was in the Hansa Theater (variety show) on October 28th, 2017. The rooms are clean, well-kept and in the style of the 20s. The price-performance ratio of the program was absolutely miserable. I paid 59 euros for a card in the penultimate row. I thought that this price included a bite to eat or at least the performances by the artists were enchanting. Neither of the two was entirely true. Drinks and meals are available at juicy prices, each toilet visit costs 0.30, wardrobe an additional 2.00 per jacket. The program was moderated by a "Dutchman", whose jokes and vocal performances caused a lot of foreign embarrassment and were rather amusing in the 1960s. The artists, with the exception of the two beautiful and talented women, were more for a children's theater and did not do the admission fee in any way, even if you pay great respect to these talents. A wizard who talks to cuddly toys and pulls a sock over his hands to tinker another conversation partner is, in my view, unreasonable for an adult audience. I was very disappointed and I can only hope that the selection of artists will be revised so that a little more style and glamor returns to the theater in the future. If all performances were based on the level of the two women (Helena Lehmann and Lina Li), I would love to come back.

About the area: Even in daylight, you feel uncomfortable and would probably not suspect a theater there. You don't want to spend your break outside in front of the theater.

Experiencing 8 different acrobats up close was great. Beautiful little theater with tables and food / drinks, but at high prices. Worth seeing are the toilet rooms.

Great little theater, was there yesterday (13.10.19). Program was very entertaining and varied, but I have the prices for food and food too expensive.

It was great !!!!!!! We were entertained very well. Great artist, a very good emcee. Robert Kreis had the guests well under control. The whole theater is an experience. I have never seen such beautiful sanitary facilities. Where do you go through a revolving door to the toilet? I would like to go back to the small, cozy theater at any time.

In the middle of St. Georg, in one of the most dingy corners of the district is the beautiful old Hansa Theater. Once you have been warmly welcomed and invited in by the bouncer, you are in another world, decades earlier, with plush and velvet and ruffles. Everything is worth seeing, even the toilets :-).
We sat in a box and had a good view of the stage.
The current program exceeded my expectations. Artistry and cabaret at the highest level. Every single number was the blast and also the emcee was wonderful. I will definitely go back to the new program next year.

Nice ambience and great artists on stage. The performances are very different, including art, acrobatics, magic, comedy. So there is something for every taste, it is definitely worth a look. I would only advise against ordering something to eat there, because you get very little for a lot of money. I can't deny that it tastes good, but you have to bring a magnifying glass to find it

Cabaret was fantastic! The Hansa Theater is very beautiful, even the toilets with the revolving doors are worth seeing!

A wonderful Valentine's evening with the great 125years anniversary performance in this iconic Hamburg tradition-Variete-Theater !!! An event about the Hamburger Abendblatt with all-round pampering program! If you get involved in it, you dive into a fantastic world from bygone times !!! Unfortunately, the coveted best seats were already taken during our booking - we sat right in front of the stage (in the so-called proscenium) - but even there we had a very good view (and more legroom !!!). Otherwise, unfortunately, the often quoted narrowness ... there you have to stop by ...! Also our Dutch Confrencier has inspired us with wit and charm ... he fits so wonderfully in this ambience.

Nice that there is something like that today. A wonderful old-fashioned variety theater! The program, however, is on the amount of time, really great.

For the first time in Hansa Variete. The interior should be historic, but in some places he was simply broken and made an unkempt impression.
The performances were all performed professionally and partly with a lot of fun.
The magic number of the 3 young women should be deleted. Except breast and Pogewackel came there nothing.
It was held together by a well-disposed "Mr. Holm". I personally succeeded very well.
The very high admission price I find daring. Even in a very good circus, the best seats cost half as much.

We had a great evening (age group 22 to 81). Super artist, varied program, very good emcee. I highly recommend it. I was suddenly a wondering child again. Great and simply adorable!

The flair and the theater are great. There is always a varied program offered. You are taken to a forgotten time and atmosphere.

Good idea, very entertaining, very varied stage show. Nice waiters still working with pen and notepad. What else does not fit here. We had a successful evening. The arrival is recommended by public transport or just a little earlier to look for a parking space.

A real institution in Hamburg. Great show. Friendly staff. There is food at the table . The prices are decent, but you don't go there to save. Always changing moderators, sometimes. well-known actors or comedians. There are four shows (acrobatics, magicians, pocket players, pantomimes, ventriloquists, etc.), then a break and four appearances again. The whole thing is definitely worth the money.

A great house, great artists and a wonderful atmosphere. We have been visiting the Hansa Theater for 4 years in January, and are thrilled every time.

We were on the occasion of the musical cabaret in the Hansa Theater. It was a great artistic performance, with a frugal set, but it was more about the scenes than it was incomplete.

The charm of the 50s determines the theater. Sometimes the seats are very narrow and the edges and corners of the rear tables press in the back.

The consumption prices are increased. The service is fast and friendly, the quality is okay.

Show good, prices for drinks ok, catering from the fishing port restaurant with 19.50 with a better starter plate, however, clearly overpriced. Service staff in the entire shop, however, much more than tried and very friendly. Ambience unique and cozy, but one. Conclusion: Either a visit from outside necessitates me to go there again, or (if the shop still exists) I may come back in 7-10 years. Then think the cards will no longer cost 60 but 100 per person. All in all a nice afternoon

Very well-kept variety theater not far from Hamburg Central Station with friendly staff and a varied and sometimes spectacular show. Audience a bit older - but that doesn't detract from the good mood. Apparently the theater is only open in winter (October to February). Too bad (missed opportunity to attract a younger audience): dusty social media politics - no photos or other recordings allowed. Excited how long such a thing can last in today's time ...

Was OK. Partly funny, partly entertaining, sometimes boring.

What it is in any case, is expensive. Admission like drinks and food. So nothing for the small purse. 3.90 for a 0.25 water. I'm rather tall there was not very comfortable seat now.

There is a fine line between sticking to the past (euphemistic nostalgia) and all sorts of old-fashioned, which rather leads to discomfort. The interior is decadent, but solid, the program special. You can see performances that are so rarely seen, but it's just a matter of taste, not everyone likes to watch a juggler. If you do not sit at one of the small tables, you have to be content with tight spaces in all directions, the food prices are upscale, but reasonable, the service is quick, and the company's senior, who accompanies the guests into the night after the performance , is very adorable.

The Hansa Theater, is always worth a visit. We are always thrilled by the great artists and the theater.

Nostalgic theater with 125 years of ambience. Seating with tables and operation by signal via table switch. Pay parking behind the house. 2 fee per hour. Access via Bremer Reihe. Access to the theater, left door. Ordering the tickets can also order food. Pretty steep prices for each slice of sausage and salmon. The bread is not enough for the topping. Theater plates at 17.50. The artists are presented by daily changing moderators. Four artists before the break, four after. The program is about acrobatics, magic, shadow and sand artists. Very good mixture. Very well. We will come back.
