Great gym beautiful outside pool. The inside is very nostalgic but definitely has a lot of equipment
Staff is nice, pool is great. Kind of run down but always clean.
This place is the most disgusting sports venue I have ever been to. The tennis courts are old, run down, stained, and dirty. The air inside is stale and I had trouble breathing as I was working out. The building has no air conditioning and it has a strong, pungent smell that resembles black mold and mildew. The Hall of Fame Fitness Center is filthy and it should be reported to the health department.
It is a run down dump I hope we did not get asbestos poisoning
Since I haven't worked out for years, I needed help to get started. My initial tour was with the head trainer/therapist and just by observing my walk, he was able to tell me why I had pain in my lower back and right leg / foot.
I'm now on a training program and it's, so far , been very helpful.
Looking forward to continuing my road back to being in better shape.
I joined in May and paid for the year in advance. Very reasonable rate imo.
I was referred to this gym by a current long time member. My first visit I went to the front counter and asked about a membership. One of the staff gave me a tour of the facility and we went over the pricing options. I decided to buy a membership and a locker rental for a year.
I've read several reviews here about the equipment being dated and needing upgraded. While I do agree that most of the weight machines are older, they still function perfectly and the tried and true barbells, dumbbells, etc are perfectly fine.
In terms of the atmosphere, the decor is dated as well, but functional. The staff and fellow patrons are all very friendly for the most part.
Only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because the facility is older and could use some refurbishing, such as the parking lot, sauna, etc. But for the money its a great value for all the amenities on site.
First day there, I was given a courteous tour of the facilities and all details were explained. They have everything you could need.
The Hall of Fame fitness center is great, and the staff is friendly. They have a lot of amenities for a good price. There is a small pro shop for racquetball equipment. Most of the workout equipment is dated, but adequate.
Great place for a workout. Plenty of classes, lot of equipment, raquetball, indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor tennis. Friendly staffandmembers.
Seating for soccer is AWFUL. Ceiling is falling apart.
Good people, lots of equipment, an indoor pool & an outdoor pool, great classes, racquetball & handball courts, outdoor tennis courts, massage therapy & a snack bar! It has it all!
The parking lot is an absolute disaster and also very dangerous. I dread each week having to take my kids to this place just because of the chaos in the parking lot. If they simply put up signs telling people which way to go it would eleviate so many problems. They have gotten so many calls for this and they don't so anything. Then you go inside the facility and they have ceiling tiles falling down , ceiling tiles that have water damage and mold. They have fiberglass insulation hanging from the ceilings. It is amazing that this place hasn't been shut down. If there was other options for indoor facilities around, this place would be ran out of business for sure.
Staff is always cheerful and supportive. While I doubt I will ever truly enjoy exercise, it does make it less of a chore when surrounded by such friendly and helpful staff and members.
The only outdoor pool around. It's huge, lots of lounge chairs, great place for the family!
Great place to practice softball when you can t be outdoors.
Every Monday or Tuesday I play soccer here. It's great but it's really cold inside
Nice indoor venue. Parking and lighting could be better
I really enjoy how large the facility is and that it's never too crowded but that's really all it has going for it. I've gone back and forth between this gym and powerhouse and every time I come back I get told 2 or 3 different prices from different people at the desk. It needs updated desperately and for how over priced it is you'd think they would invest the money into updating. The place has so much potential if it was managed properly.
Nice indoor practice area for Sports,
A little cold in there sometimes but overall it's just fine.
Toured, agree with other posters, stale air, run down facilities, known this place for 45 years, old machines, they obviously don't want to invest in it, more bacteria then a leprosy village in the French Guiana, parking lot terrible, not sure what they've been doing with the money for the last 45 years?
Staff will bend over backwards to help. Facility itself is nicer than most
Great place. The manager, Bobby, really tries to take good care if everyone. No one allowed under 14 in the pool and weight room so no bratty little kids being annoying.
Tennis courts are old and falling apart . My son has played tennis here and he claimed to have seen rats running behind the curtains here. Whenever I watch him play here, sometimes a ball is hit into the ceiling and some asbestos-like substance falls from the ceiling. I am not sure of the cleanliness at this place, which leads me to conclude that this place should be torn down and rebuilt.
This is a great place with great people. Best gym in town without having to deal with the brick and mortar gyms in the area. Very kind staff and is not too busy during peak hours.
I mostly strength trained here with a little cardio. Relatively nice equipment and enough free weights to choose from. Good amount of space for the money and I was able to superset without too much issue. Have made some good friends for the time I was there.
Have an indoor and outdoor pool, basketball etc etc.
Only issues I had were minor roof leakage in the weight room and the parking lot NEEDS to be repaved.
All in all, 10 for 10.
A bit run down but overall it is decent. Best part is the outdoor pool!
Place is in shambles. In need of major repairs and updates.
I have a family membership and my kids enjoy this place.
Michelle abd Mike have both been very helpful getting me acquainted with the center so I can work on health goals.
Great fitness center
Pl great fitness center
It's an alright area but the parking lot is terrible and it definitely needs some updating
Soccer coaches beware. The guy who runs the program is paid off by Canton United. He has and will disqualify a legal player from your team if Canton United tells him to so that they can win. He allows them to stack their team against the rules when they know they can't win a fair game. When asked why he would allow this Larry replied and I quote. " Canton United pays us more money then you other programs." Take your kids anywhere else so that 8-14 year old kids don't have to be treated so poorly.
Can't even hand out schedules, and building needs updated dramatically. Stuck in the 80's atmosphere Terrible spectating setup. Indoor soccer leagues allow all ages at all levels. No age cutoff, so your 10 or 12 year old will be getting shots from some who drove there. Better than nothing...yes. But not much.
This place is so dirty, pool looks like it has black mold. when I tried to cancel , they kept billing me.
Worst place, am going to call the health dept.
Great concept for indoor sports. Much needed updates are overdue to make this a must visit complex!
This gym is a wonderful place to work out and get physical activity. It s not modern by any means but it it well maintained, clean, bright, and does not smell like a gym. The pool and hot tub are very nice features. A map could be a helpful gift for new members but overall this is a well equipped fitness center.
I wanted to like this place I picked it because they had a pool, nobody even showed me me around the place is definitely set up weird but after a couple months of not even know where the pool was let alone times I gave up. I tired email asking for a tour or something but got nothing
I take my daughter to this facility one time per week for soccer practice. The drop off line for these children to enter the facility is nothing short of extremely dangerous. The facility has zero signage telling parents which way is exit or enter therefore this creates a crazy drop off line with vehicles going every which way as children are crossing through these vehicles trying to get to practice on time. The corners are wide enough for 1 way traffic only on this back lot so inevitably every week you have vehicles backing up, pulling forward to maneuver their vehicles because everyone ends up being stuck in the curve. Last week I decided to call the office and lodge a complaint about the seriousness of the situation and how it could potentially lead to a very dangerous scenario. The young lady I spoke to said that she would write my information down and leave for the manager who would call me back, which never happened. Today I enter the lot, only to be greeted with another vehicle in front of me yelling and pointing fingers at me. I politely rolled the window down and explained to her I called the previous week, that I understand the lot is ridiculous and dangerous and we are all feeling the same frustration. So as I was leaving I decided to call the facility once more. The same young lady answered the phone I reminded her of our conversation from the previous week she told me that she would give me the phone number to the back lot facility in I could speak to them, That she waz aware that the lot was an issue and they have received numerous complaints and she then politely apologized. I then call the other facility a gentleman answered the phone I explained to him my concern and he basically told me that there was nothing that he could do his his hands were tied and the owner was the only one that could do anything gave me his name which is Bob Thomas and his phone number which is the 1st facilities phone number and call him between the hours of 8:00 a.m. in 4:00 p.m. but this has been discussed many times in the past even years and that the owner said that the lot is common sense and that we should know how to enter and leave the parking lot. My thought process is if this was common sense than they would not be receiving all of these complaints and they would simply put a one way sign that would cost them basically nothing or an exit/enter sign to alleviate all the confusion/complaints. This is a very small price to pay for the safety of not only our children but also the parents who drive their motor vehicles in-and-out of that lot. FIX IT!!!
Indoor track, swimming, sauna and stem room. What more do you need?
If the place is as old and tragic as its website, I'm not going to be happy.
The courts and building are in a state of disrepair
Way over priced for the type of facilities offered.
