Our server SHANE was an awesome dude. Made us feel so welcomed and allowed us to hangout as long as we pleased. Never rushed and was always checking on us making sure we were taken care of! Thank you Shane one of my best experiences at the Brewery and I have beem coming here at least 20 years now. Great vibes, amazing views and atmosphere.

Good place for a beer and to grab something to eat. Sit outdoor and watch the sunset while listening to some live music. Nice way to end a day or start a evening.
Needs more shade but otherwise great place to have s solid brew and a good meal.

Beer is brewed by the store, and it tastes fresh and hops. The food is also very good in taste and the sea view is a good dining environment.
food always fair..otherwise w/music, home brews, fresh fish? and the real Pacific Ocean...they have enough bells and whistles to make you happy u came out for the day!!

Nice view of the harbor. Sat on the patio and had a few drinks while enjoying the late afternoon sun. Split a smoked monster burger and was quite satisfied.
Had the Amber ale was a well rounded ale. Fish and chips was great the Cole slaw that came with it was dry. That wasn't slaw it was shaved cabbage. The apple crisp was cold so was the chocolate lava cake.
Love this place because of the view. Have never sat inside. We come out here on the weekends specifically for the food. Be sure to order the Fisherman's Stew or the Seafood Fajitas. Driving out from the Bay Area on 92 to get here is like taking mini vacation. The wait here can be LONG (up to 1 hr), especially on a bright, sunny warm day.
Extremely dog friendly. We bring our pack with us. A member of the wait staff will bring water for them as they sit under our table to keep cool from the sun. Parking can be very challenging on warm, sunny days. Service is efficient. Outside tables do turn, just be patient.
Great food, beer and view. Has ample parking space and pretty big seating area area- both indoor and outdoor. Only downside is the heat was not working when I went. Would love to go back.
Normally I go with the fish and chips, but today I did the fish, prawns, calamari and chips combo. Great value for the large plate. Paired with the house IPA. If you're hungry, this is the plate to order.

The service was very slow during both my visits there. In addition, the general attitude was one of apathy., i.e., no one seemed to care.

So here I was in Half Moon Bay for various reasons stemming from my mundane life, where at the suggestion of a coworker I ventured into Half Moon Bay Brewing Co.
Not only was I surprised by a delicious Amber Ale served by my lovely bartender Tessa, I was also very happy with the journey back in time provided by the food. First came the artichoke boiled and served with a sauce reminiscent of those served by my grandmother... delicious! Then came the Portuguese soup with linguica and shellfish which although different from the linguica and seaweed soup I loved as a child in Cascais, provided a wondrous flavor that still brought me back to that incredible childhood I was blessed with. If you visit Half Moon Bay do yourself a favor and enjoy the Brewery and their delicious food!
Ended up here on one of the hottest days in years along the coast. Took a table outside, as most of the places along the coast do not have A/C. We had a great view of pillar point harbor. Fantastic staff, average food, great beer. Would recommend and would return if possible.

An excellent place to visit after hanging out on the beach all day. Try to grab a table outside with a view of the water. The beer sampler is a must (unless you are driving) and the grub is pretty good. Good selection of beers on tap and it's always busy (which is a good thing in a beach town). Highly recommend.
Good food and good beer. We try different places in HMB but always end up coming back here. The patio is also really nice.
Great live music Friday and Saturday nights, a large assortment of home brews (I enjoyed a "Stuck on You" Prickly Pear beer) and their cevichi and poke combo was filling and delicious, along with their grilled balsamic-infused artichokes, their crispy calamari and chicken nacho platter. Great service by one waitress doing the work of 12 on a busy night and quick clean-up by another man who always wore a smile. Wall of Blues performed tonight and our evening was delightful and memorable!

Great place to great a cold beer and a solid lunch if you are on the coast. When it is nice in Half moon bay, this place is sure to be packed! I love to eat outdoors here when it is sunny because you actually get quite warm. I am a huge fan of their IPA and love how descriptive all their beers are. They even tell you the BTU's. Furthermore, all the staff is very educated so if you have any questions, feel free to ask because I bet anyone of them knows the answer.

A very fun, nautical vibe here! A lot of parking and surprisingly a LOT of indoor seating and outdoor seating. The bar area here is very large and (obviously) there's a great selection of local beers, seasonal beers, and rotating taps. The apps here are really enjoyable here as well - we came as a group for a few beers and a snack and this place certainly satisfied. Of course HMB is always great for that fun, casual, local feel. Definitely come by for a beer!

I've been going to this place for years. My kids love it and the kids menu remains awesome and ok priced. What's going down over the years is the adult menu: its getting more pricy while the menu does not change all that much. This last time did it for me: Mussel and fries for 20$ where the dish has like 10 mussels... Come on mussels are cheap but I guess it qualifies as seafood so the price is jacked up... I wish this place reinvented itself food wise, because the beer remains awesome and the location is great...

Restaurant offering several vegan options. Ask for the vegetarian soup of the day (can be vegan but not systematically), hummus is vegan and amazing (Mavericks Hummus $9.00); vegetables in the Fun bites section, tacos, nachos and salads can be made without cheese. They also have a portobello mushroom sandwich (with ciabatta bread) that can be made without cheese, and surprisingly they offer Impossible burger! Be careful with coleslaw: I ordered it as an additional side dish thinking it was plain but it wasn t an I think there was cream in it.

Went a few weeks back, seating is outside which is understandable due to this Covid situation going on. Burger was great shrimp was ok.
You definitely want to plan a good two or three hours just for this one location as on the weekend the line to get a table could be super long. So I just ended up getting a bottle from the takeout window within five minutes versus waiting almost 2 hours. Very nice flavor and for the size it s a decent value. Kudos to the staff for managing all those lines and staying levelheaded and professional.

The HMB Brewing Co. is one of my favorites in HMB. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back and you can enjoy the view over the harbor from the patio and most tables in the restaurant.
The food is ok and the beer very good. If you come for lunch or dinner try the clams or the fish sandwiches! Coming here during a sunny day you will share the place with locals that mingle around the open fire pits on the patio, in the bar or restaurant.
My preference is the patio since the maritime atmosphere and diverse crowd is fun.
PS: Several times a week you can enjoy live music in the bar.

Love this place. One of our favorites on the coast. Great scenery, food, selections of craft and session beers, live music, dog friendly, professional staff, and all around great people that visit here too.

Lots of outdoor seating; nice selection of beers, brewed in-house as well as a few other locals. The Happy Hour specials from 11a-6p M-F were a bonus.
Great beer and food. Seating can be pretty limited at times however so plan accordingly. It is one of our go to spots when we want to eat near the water.
Best cheese crab bread on the plant! I have never tasted anything better.
The health compliance changes are much appreciated and satisfactory. The food and service as always is top notch.
A consideration of a secondary rear exit to the outdoor dining area would be most welcome.

Very friendly crowd. staff was very helpful and nice. Truffle fries are really good. Their brunch is a real crowd pleaser. They can there own beer. if you want to take some home. Outdoor dining allows pets. And has fire pits very nice. Food is very good staff was excellent. My only complaint is this place is very popular and may take some time to get a seat. But it is worth it. Enjoy
HMB Brewing is definitely worth the journey (which is beautiful) from San Francisco. The beers are well crafted, food is excellent and fresh, and the service was extraordinarily friendly. It's a family/dog friendly place that has an awesome (and LARGE) patio for dining outside.
Had a pleasant time here with a good friend! We had some beers and appetizers and a main entree. Beer was very good: I had the calf-eine coffee milk stout and my friend had the kolsch one! Food was okay but when we got it was kinda of cold. We had the fish and chips, pretzels and the cheese bread with crab! Nothing exceptional. I would go back here again to drink and not to eat!
