Haggen is a bit more expensive than other grocery stores, although if you look at their weekly ads you can sometimes get really good deals. The staff is also really friendly and helpful.

imagine going into Safeway, but finding that everything is actually affordable-- now combine that with a Rite Aid that sells items that don't break right away. Finally, throw in a small town pharmacy, and a wine shop to top it off
. That's what you'll find here, while you grab some freshly baked goods better that your mom's.
Once you discover haggens, those afternoons spent running around for groceries are a thing of the past past.
My only complaint is that my home town lacks a haggens, and not every city has one-- because they need one.

Worst customer service of my life. Dropped a bottle in their parking lot and the manager told me, "it's not our fault, why should we pay for it?" Merry effing Christmas to you too, Haggen.

Great store, lots of options to chose from, produce is always fresh obviously, probably one of the best, if not THE BEST in Whatcom County and beyond.

I don't think the Produce mgr. at Barkley Hagen's ever learned hygienic protocol or professional manners. I shop all Hagen's and support their move toward more organic products.

Only store I can go to anytime and never have any issues. There are situations that can happen even late, yet they've always had what I needed and are open.

Always enjoy shopping at any Haggen, but particularly enjoy the one on 36th street in Bellingham. Great selection, Fair pricing. Fresh seafood and specialty meats. Staff is knowledgeable, quick and professional.

Went shopping at haggen tonight and when walking out got followed out of store by a man in a jacket whom aggressively accused me of stealing (which I did not). I asked him if he worked there and instantly denied and another worker said she didn't know him. However when asking for the stores manager after the event I found out from the other employees he was Paul Cooley the general manager of the store. I approached him again after the fact which he then denied accusing me of stealing then treated to call the police on me.

A bit on the pricier side of a grocery store. If I do shop there it's for convenience not prices.

Always been a big fan of this haggen store. The fresh food section is massive for all the college students and they always have good deals.

Market Street Catering is AMAZING! The team is so friendly, they really care about your event. The food is excellent and prepared with a lot of care! Would recommend to ANY of my friends! For anything simple like a veggie tray to a full service wedding fully staffed so you don't have to lift a finger! Haggen, Market Street Catering is the BEST!

I drove 9 miles to Haggen to pick up two Northwest Veggie sandwiches from the Deli. None were pre-made, so I asked the woman making sandwiches if she'd make me two NW Veggies. Usually, she does, but this time she said "Not Today". I explained I made a special trip, but she didn't acknowledge me after that. Now that I cannot rely upon the customer service I used to get, I will not make a special trip to Haggen anymore. Not today equates to Not EVER for me. I can rely upon Whole Foods in the future. This happened 9/30/2019 at 1:45 p.m. with a seasoned employee. I returned home (18 mile roundtrip) empty handed and soured to Haggen.

Haggen is a locally founded grocery store chain now owned by Safeway, but still locally managed. This particular store has a large footprint and is conveniently located near the University and just off I-5.

Long noted for their excellent Deli, Meat, Bakery and Produce departments, Safeway has added financial stability, access to more distributed goods and, for the most part, better pricing.

Good grocery store, everything you need plus an excellent gluten free selection.

Open late, long line, as only one cashier on. A little more on the expensive side but convenient

I spent a whole lot of time in the Seattle area. So, I refer to this store as QFC. Both are upper end of quality. This store is the place to shop if you love quality.

Always have great, fresh product. The meat and deli sections take the hard part out of creative, healthful meals.

The best 24 hour grocery store in town. Arguably the best Haggen (Barkley is also nice). Frozen veggie selection isn't great, but the bakery is fantastic.

Super friendly staff! Feels like a small town farmers market. I come here whenever I need a second opinion on a recipe or help gathering the right ingredients. They are always super cheerful and eager to help. Love you guys!

This haggen is positioned next to the college. Their prices are obscene so they can prey on harried college kids spending their student loans. It's despicable.

The employees are nice but I've always thought that store was a little too expensive.

The old flagship Haggens is only a few blocks from my home. I do wander through it every couple of months, but rarely spend more than $10 there. For those of us who knew it when it was family owned, it is hard to enjoy the new corporate atmosphere and prices. The few staff that have held on never have time to tell you how their kids are doing anymore. Trader Joe's and the co-op do fine for me. This is actually written about the meridian Haggens but google won t let me change the address.
