The renovation is very successful, modern without betraying the origins, a sort of modern 20s style, Hercule Poirot would be quite comfortable there, too bad that at lunchtime the staff are still vacuuming or shine the mirrors while the first customers point their noses. As for the cuisine, it's fine, no more, having been invited I have no idea of the prices, prestigious wines and attentive staff .... to be continued when the routine is well established .....

A magnificent atypical hotel. To restore a little but especially that the negresco remains different. No swimming pool, no hammam. If it is to still find the same thing as the others ...... keep the collections. Keep the charm. Perfect home. Only downside my room did not correspond to my request on the photo. The cozy nests ... but we like the rotunda. The breakfast with a lot of choice. The negresco must stay apart from other hotels ....
Impeccable service. The pleasure of being in a mythical place.
I loved . I'll be back .
Well done .

I did not stay at the Negresco hotel, but when the hotel was built, Madame Augier, the owner of the hotel, bequeathed to donate all the income to the homeless and stray animals. And since then the proceeds have been donated. Also, all the celebrities who came to Nice stayed here. Like Orson Wells, Michael Jackson, Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso

Great location but if you like to arrive late and find that your room isn't ready, be offered a soda or coffee for the hour additional wait and then get upgraded to a room that isn't quite right, this is your place.

Ostentatious hotel, bar and restaurant. A local institution. It was the project of an immigrant who saw it built, only to be turned into hospital during the war before it finally was the intended hotel after his death. We went to the bar for pre-dinner drinks as recommended by locals. The cocktails are fantastic but pricey ( 20-25) - you are definitely paying for the setting too which had fantastic live music (most Thursdays). The staff were great and the nibbles/snacks were a really nice touch.

pros:

pros:
Full of history and decorations in different epochs/styles
Nice location close to Nice Center.
Door men staff is most helpful and friendly.
Morning breakfast area is nice but not spacious, better to be outside in nice weather, if nobody smokes around;
Gourment restaurant is so-so, mainly due to unfriendly management/service chef.
OK to spend 1-2 nigths not more.

Cons:
Rooms are way outdated to today's 4-5 star hotel standards:
weak internet connections.
climatization - air conditioning is old, can't keep average temp and usually leaking AC fluids into the guest rooms - so watch out your step and what you may breeze at night..
do not recommend for families with small or school age children.
no children menu in restaurant or room service.
no children activities.
no pool or property to roam around, since it is a city hotel.
only valet parking.

Very classy and elegany hotel. The architecture is lovely and it exudes history. The service is impeccable as well as the food. The rotondo just after the lobby is magnificent. Worth going g I just for breakfast to enjoy it.

Service was friendly but it took then 20 minutes to serve one cup of coffee and one softdrink. The price was very expensive, but similar to other high end places in the area. The admosphere in the cafe was nice and unique. The lobby man told us in a little arrogant way to not take pictures in the lobby which we found a little bit awkward since there were no other people around.. (he said rule by the management)

Beautiful structure. Not available for a walk about. The general public can enjoy the bar/restaurant. Expect to pay a premium for the honour of getting into the hotel.
Take a walk to the restroom and you will see some lovely art, jewelry under glass, odd antiques. Totally worth the experience.

We were taken toLe Negresco for a cocktail in the hotel bar as a treat after a very bumpy flight. Amazing place. Decor is beautiful and service is 1st class. Be advised, must wear trousers and shirt. 12 - 25 glass wine. 22+ for cocktails
